Another great video. We arrived at Karratha about 8 weeks ago and trying to get some great ideas about camping around here. So far we we camped at Cliff Springs last month and Fortescue River this long weekend (Karratha has a public holiday today). Next camp spot we are thinking of going to is 40 Mile Beach. Thanks for the footage and how to catch & cook a mud crab. Well done guys.

Take my hat off to you guys for managing the kids so well and keeping such a positive outlook. Looks easy but I know the hard work. You have a very smart set up, very well thought out. Love the fishing side of things and station stays. Pls stay out of caravan parks 😉

It is unfortunate that you had so many bush flies. Normally the high pressure systems are not sitting in the bight. Being anticlockwise the winds are pushing all the flies towards the coast.That normally occurs in the summer months not now.We are enjoying your trip it is bring back a lot of memories.Have a safe trip

I have always wondered why you don't have a metal detector to hunt for old coins and relics around some of those amazing place's you visit. The kids would just love it. Check out some of my vid's with my grand children. Dennis

absolutely!! haha. I got sick of putting them back on when the mud pulled them off!

just on the mud crab - yes, get rid of the lungs/gills and guts stuff, but the "yellow mustard", equivalent to our liver and pancreas, technically named hepatopancreas, is considered a delicacy by many mudcrab connoisseur. They are very tasty! As long as the crab is not caught from contaminated area, and as long as you are not children under 5 or pregant ladies, they are perfectly safe to eat. Also eat mudcrab in moderation, they do tend to eat all kind of crap that's present in the waterways and contamination can stay in their body for a while.

@@TripInAVan definitely cook it< quick stir fry works, dont overcook>- with chilli is fine, and ginger and shallots will bring out the fresh/sweet taste of mudcrab. - The japanse do eat the crab meat raw/sashimi style- i dont personally eat them raw.
Love your work guys, started following ya on your first trip when we overtook you guys heading to the Gregory just out of the Isa. Spotted the little sticker on the side of the van. Anyway don't know if you've done it already Justin but I heard the ol seatbelt chime going off at the start... have ya googled the hack to switch it off? You can do both driver and passenger too. Cool bananas, keep the dream alive guys and see ya on the road one day.
