We camped on the rocks around Cape LeGrand in our campervan and woke up in the morning with water around our axles. No fees and no people back then. Had to walk back over the rocks that were now under water to plot my way back out again. Beautiful part of the country.
Im A Esperance boy I was born in Esperance and lived there for most of my life but recently things have been rough so i had to move to Perth... I Miss Esperance Also i went to lucky Bay Alot When i lived there... Hope you had fun!
Bottom of WA was also wet and cold on our trip, remember plugging the power lead in one caravan park in ankle deep water, so dangerous .Wave Rock, did you go up top, great view. Enjoy WA we spent 3 months travelling north to south, unreal free camps above Perth. Keep em rolling. Thanks Petri.
Good tip for WA.. If you are a RACWA member you can buy a vehicle entry pass for all the national parks in WA for a whole year at half price - which means about $45. I'm not sure if they do a reciprocal thing for NRMA, RACQ etc though. But even at full price unlimited park entries at $100 for a year is good value. Doesn't cover camping fees though.
Building memories is what life is all about ....enjoy W.A. , as you say , West is best ...haha...pity you diidn't do the coastal route we have had an amazing 2 weeks of weather down here at Albany and the south coast, it's all over now though.....enjoy your journey
You two and the kids are doing a great job of showing the best places to camp !! As all ways only the best for your family and you !!mate!. P.s got my self one of them Makita a battery operated chainsaw.thks to you!!
I would do it in a heart beat. It all comes down to money. Need it for the right car , and van and to take time off work and to live. Im sure alot of people would def be up for it. But same reason. Will keep on the lotto , you never know. Looking forward to seeing more of WA. Enjoy your trip x
We started of simply with an xtrail and a camper never went off bitumen and then we did the big 4WD and off road camper, just practice locally as it can be very expensive.
Hi Guys, thanks for another great video. Really enjoying the roadtrip aust. videos. Already looking forward to the next one. Congrats on the 10K Subs as well. Cheers John
MONA in Hobart a must see its an unusual museum quite affordable and will fill your day Also the Salamaca market in Hobart and of course Port Arthur and Mount Wellington. Enjoy
Hey Justin n Bec again, you guys are giving us plenty of notes for our places to stay cheers again. Oh and lake magic......... not going in the book😂. As always you guys are bloody honest and crack us up. Cheers mick and Christine.
Loving your videos. So cool to be able to take your kids on this adventure. We're at the other end ... kids grown up and now we're travelling Australia, but mostly in a 2 man tent.
Good stuff, the trailer coupling looks very nice. If you are going to visit a number of national parks get a parks pass, it will save you a heap of money.
hey guys another great Vid been following from the start and love the little technical tips and tricks ...love it and given some useful tips when we do our run early next year...
Hey Guys another top episode enjoy it looked so peaceful and worthwhile, cool for answering water i was curious when you have to fill your tanks IE every three days or less
Paul Berry we can get around a week with our 300litres. Depends on where we are camping as well, if it’s on the beach we can skip a few showers and wash in the saltwater ✌️
Great vid. I reckon you guys would love Shannon Campground about 50 km's south of Manjimup. It's not on the beach but it's one of my favorite places in WA. They use to drop off firewood from an old timber mill nearby and also had hot showers thanks to a wood fired water heater the rangers would light about 4pm each evening. Great place, worth a look. Look forward to your next video.
Just came across yr site...I can’t get out and travel any more as I’m on my own but watching your videos are great 😄 my husband and I travelled up north WA and down south with two other couples (BC - before children).
I remember you have other security but I always lock our chains back around the draw bar with a big lock so your chains can't be used to drag your van away by shackling them around a hitch.
lol mate. You got my attention on the 1st second. Great video once again. Hope you guys are having a bloody good time. I just got back from Iluka and Byron Bay NSW. slowly building the confidence to do a seachange out of sydney eventually
I know this is an old video, but great to see you loving our backyard! I'm looking forward to seeing how you enjoyed the Moore River Region. One Life, One Search, Peace Out, Shane
Thanks again love all the free camp tours and tips too and thanks for letting us know if a van that isn’t off-road would get in. I thought cape arid was of charts but that little campground you went to is now on the list. Think I won’t bother with Lake Magic though 🤣
Another awesome installment people's loving watching your little adventures, welcome to wa and pur wonderful state, can't wait to see the next episode 🤙🤙
Wow! I lived in Esperance as a kid in the early 70s, we used to go to Lucky Bay when it was just a tiny gravel track to the beach, I don't think there was even much of a parking area. We just drove straight onto the beach (almost drowned near the rocks down the end of the beach, two Japanese sailors pulled us out of the water 😏), just incredible how things have changed
HI Justin and Bec - Great great content. Heather and me spent 3 months travelling beautiful Australia, in a Subaru Outback and an Ozzie 4x4 rooftop tent (Nov 2018 to Feb 2019 Sydney to Cairns - Sydney - GOR - Melbourne - Canberra - Sydney) for the very first time and it is an amazing place - Love your video content and Too Easy Mate...;)
Its already in theplanning stage for late 2020 as we are off to India for 10 daysand then western Austrailia Uluru in a Ute and a Jayco for probably 3 months then check out NZ (dont mention cricket:-) then back to Oz:-)
For anyone who has never been to Australia then your videos take them one step closer . The Ozzie tourist board should chuck a few dollars your way :-)
Been binging out on your videos all day. I really enjoy the effort you go to in editing, camera work, audio, etc. Special mention for your presentation from Exmouth WA. My home town.
Good vid guys. You've got it right. Top part of the world. Not a popular aspect of holidaying but just stay vigilant with your kids. I've observed a few animals of the human kind with obvious bad intention on camping trips with my own family. They prey on the vulnerability of relaxed campers.
Hi Guys, thx for the vids - loving them! We hope to head off ourselves pretty soon now. A question: was there much opportunity to refill your van water tanks with fresh water ( not bore water) as you crossed the Nullarbor? It would be good if you were able to include the water refill points before you head into more remote areas and if it has a cost. Thx again. Safe travels.
The Western end of Membinup is absolutely beautiful when it's not chocked with seaweed...unfortunately that is a very rare event . Did you guys explore the other two little beaches up the track straight ahead from where you were camped other side of the headland? 24:12 Lake " Magic" :D
Addictive viewing, this would make awesome reality tv for travel tips about Oz and equipment, tried and tested to the limit. Stay safe, Declan from the U.K.
great info guys will be heading that way next year any chance of letting us know that the places you stay at are PET friendly,it would help me out heaps thanks. We have dogs and no kids?
We drove from perth to mt gambier back to Adelaide mid Sep to early October. Was great trip. Throu nullabor. Longer straight road 146 km. Get to south australia..one more trip we plant is Darwin to perth. Complet whole circle australia. Worth every cent. Feel sorry for the rental car company to clean the car.full of red dusts and dirt. Thnx
We did tonnes of camping in WA with the kids Kal too all the way up to Menzies and Lake Ballard, kids loved it. If you go out that way be careful of the old prospectors mines from the colonial days, kids don't realize the danger. Take a pan and extra water and do some gold panning. Spoil the kids, there's a couple of prospector shops in Boulder and Coolgardie, always got some gold to buy or even alluvial. Wait till the kids are getting a little bit bored then stick the gold between your fingers and drop it in the pan as your swishing it around. You'll have them bouncing off walls when they find it. Top travelling and enjoy.
Hi guys wow love the vids. Justin I bought that Makita chainsaw you used on your trip, it’s awesome mate. Question: Can you give me some info about the drone you use, make, model etc. thinking of buying one. Thanks for your great videos, tips and info guys. Your an inspiration to all of us . Well done to you, Bec and the kids. Keep on trukin lol, cheers from Mike 👍
Get yourself a park pass you will save a fortune when visiting national parks. Also can you supply some kind of link for the DO35 hitch lock. We came here 3 years ago from Qld and still here 👍👍
Thanks for sharing, I hope to be seeing some this next year. My partner and I don't have a 4wd caravan, only a 21ft very well built caravan. In your opinion, would we be able to reach some of were you have been? Ningaloo video I was making reference too.
OOOHHH DEAR, Great idea to test the water by throwing the kids in to the abandoned looking Lake Magic first. If one comes out screaming, ya don't go in yourself. (I shouldn't chuckle)
Loving watching your videos. I live in the UK 🇬🇧 my daughter lives in Perth and my son lives in Melbourne. 😕😕 I Love Australia 🇦🇺. Hope to live in this awesome country one day. Safe travels 👍🏻👍🏻
We discovered Gorge Rock just before Perth too, it nice to stay and a really nice drive to Perth seeing all the grass trees and native landscape LOVe Perth..
From memory lake magic is the big lake on the other side of the road from the pond you were in. Its called lake magic because of the sunset across the lake. its pretty neat. The resort is open but you are in a small country town trying to survive. The airport was funded by the locals and was put in as an all weather strip for the flying doctor. Generally there are now flights to Hyden. You are legally allowed to fly your drone around airports that do not have a control tower. But if you hear any aircrafts you are to land immediately
I'm addicted..this is way better than home and away and neighbour's...4 hours I'm watching this...love it ..
nice one mate!! glad you enjoy it

Safe to swim everywhere, but if your not a good swimmer make sure you stick to the patrolled beaches with lifeguards. Cheers
You could maybe show us around your rig? It looks quite cool.
