Im kinda late but, some info for the game Yotei is a mountain in Hokkaido and the game is set in 1603 so probably a lot of spanish/portuguese conquistador influence like how mongols were the main point of 1st game, thats why we see our protagonist using a rifle but they will not be the main "enemy" since those were merchants/missionaries monks converting people, this is the Sengoku period, just 3 years before the game Tokugawa Ieyasu won the Sekigahara, the biggest and most important feudal battle in the history of japan, one that made him the new shogun, our protagonist has a wanted poster. So we can assume shes part of the side that lost the war, shes a rebel and shes being hunted down, so she decided to escape to the most remote place of Japan at this time, Hokkaido, which also could add some Ainu storyline, we can finally see the oppresion of the Ainu by the japanese in a game, since its after the portuguese and spanish selling guns to Japan that they decided to fully conquer and subdue any "savage" part of the country like Hokkaido or Okinawa who were not under control of the shogun and were mostly run by the local population So the game probably starts at Sekigahara, we see our protagonist survive that battle, become a rebel and then arriving at Hokkaido and the game starts, making her a "protector" of Yotei from the graps of western weapons and the new militaristic shogunate. Also, we might see a LOT of famous japanese people, this is the peak sengoku era, were many famous names lived and fought battles.

Definitely play Ghost of Tsushima. The entire game including the Director's Cut DLC is FANTASTIC. Just the environment alone will capture your eyes and you'd want to do nothing but just ride around on the horse looking at scenery. The easter eggs are also dope for the different armors in the DLC and even in the base game. I'm highly surprised they didn't charge like $80+ for the game on release because its definitely worth every penny
It looks like her different stances will involve a couple different weapons. Maybe a single sword, a duel wield and she even had a Kusarigama in there. Also this is just speculation on my part since I can't read Japanese but at one point in the trailer she went to wipe the blood off her sword and there was writing on her left forearm and the blood went right through something. So she could have a list of people she needs to kill and just did and wiping the blood like that is crossing the name off the list
I am very curious about how Jin Sakai's legacy will be handled in that sequel since this new game takes places Few centuries after the events of Tsushima. And when you think about it, Jin is pretty much the first "Shinobi" in this game universe. Shinobi is a term to say " invisible" and since Jin is refer as "the ghost" This is the closer we're gonna get for "Shinob" term. Plus the way Jin fighs with his ghost tactics are too similar as a Shinobi. ( I know it does not follow actual historical events about the shinobi influence in Japan). So what if in Ghost of Yotei, the samurais got influenced by Jin's methods to a point that now Japan has Shinobis in this game universe. That's my little theory, so i am aware i can be dead wrong about all of it. Either way, i am truly happy we got a sequel!
The first game set during the first Mongol invasion of Japan in 1274, Ghost of Yōtei set in 1603 in Hokkaido, Japan but we might get Jin reference in the game thou CANNT WAIT
Its just means Ghost will be heading to be a big franchise like AC, and we might see other countries Ghosts too or they might still tocus on Japan islands, Hanzo as a ghost would be the Strongest of all.
I'm hoping they don't make protagonists who were historical figures so they have more freedom on the protagonist's story. I do agree with the direction they're taking this franchise to. Each game set in a different time and place in Japan keeps it fresh and we get to see better coverage of Japan's history. The place also gets a tourism boost IRL.

no it didn't get shadowed by Elden Ring. Ghost of Tsushima was never underrated and literally competed for Game of the Year. They only lost to The Last of Us Part 2. Game can't be underrated when its being recommended for GOTY and also considered one of the best games to touch the PS4.

That's over 7 million people at the very least playing the game before the awards and giving it good reviews. You don't need to overall gaming community to play the game. The overall gaming community is massive and not everyone plays the same things. So if you can get more than 5 million people to just play your game in that short amount of time, you're doing something pretty good.

But some of them were also bit concern about whether the game will mention about Ainu people (Hokkaido natives), because in this era, Japan start to oppressed the native, because Ezo (Hokkaido) still political independent from Japan. But some of them were also bit concern about whether the game will mention about Ainu people (Hokkaido natives), because in this era, Japan start to oppressed the native, because Ezo (Hokkaido) still political independent from Japan. I guess it's still a sensitive issues among the Yamato people (today modern Japanese).
