I love how confident Ling Buyi is about the Emperor’s affection. He knows he can basically get away with anything. The putting in the corner after being frogmarched on the scruff of the neck, the ‘you little brat’ and the exasperation at the smiling is just so adorable.
I love how Ling doesn't always have to say anything to her, sometimes just a look with direct eye contact and then he slowly blinks at her to make sure she's seen him...its more subtle than a nod but its super adorable little touches like that that made me fall in love with this couple 🥰
I love how when Ling offers to lead the troops the Emperor goes full “Dad Mode” on him. He praises other son’s to fight but his own… nah, no way, shut that down and throw a pancake at his kid. Those are the consequences of upsetting your dad. 🤣🤣🤣
Now this is an Emperor who's power hasn't gone to his head and I'm here for it! He's still very down to earth and while he adheres to propriety etc in public, he doesn't cling to the formalities in private with those he's close to; then he is simply a worried papa who wants his son to get married to his love and give him many grand-babies! 😂
Oh Lord, I just got a vision of the Emperor finding out his little daughter in law is pregnant, going crazy trying to make her go full bed rest, sending delicate foods and doctors every day. Then, pacing more frantically than the father during delivery. Then, when the baby is brought out he'll probably push the father out of the way so he can have the first cuddle! I just don't know which would be worse, a son to carry on the Huo family line, or a sweet little girl wrapping the mighty Emperor around her tiny little pinky.....

Upon hearing that LBY and CSS came back to the camp together, he did a 180 and said it's understandable if the younger ones would like to have a little fun. 🤣
