I am so glad that KEXP always have new amazing artists for me to discover. This song is just amazing. You can just feel the energy of the musicians. And it just grows better the more often you listen to it. 🙂
Facts
Absolutely fantastic! Can't get it out of my head.
He is unbelievable. What a talent.
I don't really understand the lyrics, but I've made my theory what could Kishi Bashi sing about.
It could be some entity or person, who lost their life because of toxic philosophers who couldn't stand their truth, that outshines the popular beliefs. That person now inspires Kishi Bashi to do the best he can. It could be heavily conected with philosophy, because of the mentioned Apolonians, who represented wisdom and order in life.
The second possibility is that he sings about love. It was judged by some, it inspires and promises many things. Kishi Bashi's songs are often soft and full of love themes. It's trully a phenomenon he could encourage to last as long as possible. Love gets the best of people. So amazingly.
This is literally the best version of the song
Warum kennen ihn so wenige Leute? Er ist ein großer Künstler. ❤

Wow.
Its crazy
Love it
what a great song
The bridge/solo section is so Kansas!
Wow!
i know nothing about music but this song sounds a lot like gentle giants or some songs of emerson lake and palmer
Don't take a musician to notice the similarity. I'm more reminded of Mahavishnu Orchestra and King Crimson when they had violinists. Jean-Luc Ponty also played with Zappa and spent a lot of his solo years playing smooth fusion jazz.
