    What i'm thinking, wow. My brother earlier this year had gotten the trance x. Told me, great bike the trance x, now we are going next level with this moter included. Now the paintjob, is sick as! Love your content.

    I'm a retired airline pilot, so I'm tired of having to choose between an ebike and a fully restored P-51 Mustang!
    I just checked out the $6000 (U.S.) Elite 3. In a medium, it's 45 pounds, 11 ounces or 20.7 Kg. That's very reasonable! Nice and quiet, good app adjustability. This could be the one for me! Buy 2 and have enough left over for 2 range extenders.
    Honestly, this bike at $6k is way more impressive than an 18.8Kg bike no one can afford!

    Hey Sam have you done a range test on this bike yet ? Was just wondering what range you'd get with it set at 60n of power like most of the order super lights these days. I'll keep an eye open to see if you do 😊. Keep up the good work 👏

    Looks a real nice bike, any idea the weight of the range extender?

    • @SamsBikes
      @SamsBikes  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep it looks amazing! I feel it would be 1-2kg but not sure yet I’ll try and find out

    • @claytonprice7833
      @claytonprice7833 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So that makes the bike 21kg with 600wh of Battery. That's the same as some top end emtb? So weight is based on less range.

    • @claytonprice7833
      @claytonprice7833 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The NEW 2023 Orbea Rise M-Ltd.. 15.9kg (360wh), 16.2kg (540wh), 17.5kg (792wh)
      1. 540wh 21700 cell, range extender of 252wh. 792wh
      2.. Can full power the New EP801 motor, which now has 600w of peak power.
      3. Upgrade the suspension (150mm 36 and Float X) and Tyres, 18.5kg to 19kg with 792wh...
      Now that's a true Light Weight, Full Power and Battery Range, I just wish that Orbea would allow the customer to decide on the power instead of reducing to the RS.

    • @m3drivr
      @m3drivr ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Rise’s max power tops at 60nm, this is 85nm. Another is their poor integration. If they had done a better job, I would have considered it. The final consideration is sales and support, where Orbea can’t really compete. When you get e-bikes, this is a serious consideration. I see where Giant is going with this. Interesting bike that tries to bridge both worlds.

  • @vaughanboyce3702

    Personally, a 140/150mm trail bike needs to be 29er and it's not light compared to others in the same space, I could do a light weight build on my trek and have it under 20kg with 625w.

    How does the motor compare to a Bosch CX? I recently sold my Trek rail 9.7. I might get another Trek, but this Giant intrigues me. I really like the Bosch CX motor. The bike looks great...I have never ridden a Syncro motor. Would I be disappointed compared to the Bosch?? Awesome review BTW.

    • @SamsBikes
      @SamsBikes  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hey Mike, thanks for the kind words! The Bosch is a powerhouse but the SyncDrive is no slouch maybe check out my range test and hill climb test. Where the Syncdrive actually won but there is more into it! I love the low end cadence of the Syncdrive and it doesn’t have a rattle and it’s next to silent! I feel in a all out drag race the bosch does have the edge. Best would be to go test one if you can.

    My friend put this bike together for his son and before I knew it he was done th-cam.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L When the son came to put it together he was surprised to see it was already done. All he had to do was take the bike to get air and be on his way. My friend did not have any major problems putting this bike together; small issue was putting one of the brakes on straight; however when the son got home he was able to fix it. The bike rides well gears move correctly; good bike for the price. Wrote review after the son took the bike. Sorry.

    As cool as that bike looks, I still prefer my Giant Trance X Advanced E+2. I have a 2023 Giant Reign E+2 and with the mullet configuration I find it better for bike parks and downhill but not as maneuverable as a full 29er like the Trance.
