    Let me tell you about my in laws. Two different DNAs, both were taking only one pill for their slightly elevated blood pressure. No multis, no other supplements. One drank water at dinner time the other had red wine. One smoked until death the other stopped in his early 70s. No dementia or mobility problems. They read a lot and did lots of crossword puzzles. They ate small home cooked meals. They weren’t overweight. They died in their mid 90s. Pretty amazing!

      Seems the same as in my family. Except my father stopped the pack a day habit at around 65 (looked 20 years younger after a year). He also stopped drinking, since he was at it😊. Note however he never drunk sh... like college students binge on. I have always said that the hangover was because of the additives😂. Never had a headache/feeling sick before I came to the US (university wine and cheese parties)
      My father was a contractor and he spent a lot of time on scaffolds errected to clean the facade of tall buildings...daily form of exercize if you do not have fear of hights (seems my mothers genes did not help) did that until retirement age. Believed strongly in being the best your genes will allow. Absolutely had no tolerance for people "loosing human shape" because of poor lifestyle.
      I am hoping to improve on the family stats. It is an experiment.
      Fear of hights getting better after regular stays in CO. Although I will always believe some of these trails are needlessly potentially deadly. I mean you would be safer on a big wall with the knowledge and technique of a good team.

      Most of it is genetics, I am sure doing these things aren't bad for you, but you're pre programmed to die at some point.

    I’m 73yo woman with arthritis in all my joints and spine. I exercise every day cycling, rowing, resistance/strength training and walking . Soon to resume swimming laps for30 min per day. I eat only whole foods and follow keto diet. I use only pure oils and essential oil on my body. Use the purest hair products. I use mineral based sunscreen daily. I go to infrared sauna 2x weekly, use a red light panel 2x/day and do nightly yoga/ Pilates on a grounded mat and sleep on a grounded pillowcase topped by a pure silk pillowcase! I’m doing all this to age well with quality of movement and life in general! I’m often said by people who don’t know me that I look 10-15 years young than my bio age!

      Even you are a person with high interest in your health and data you will have a rough time to figure all out. Especially because of the very diametrical sort of information out there. This longevity information is not what our doctors learned or what medical assiciatiosn would share.

      I hate it when the host has an incredible guest on their show and then every 10-15 seconds they feel the need to say Um-hmm or some other utterance to indicate they’re listening. It’s unnecessary and, for me, almost too annoying to listen to.

      I do wish Thomas would have helped dumb it down though. Brecka likes to use big words, and that is the opposite of what draws subscribers to Thomas.

    Thinking there's a form of fluorite which turns red dye to the sun(only found in two places I believe) and that if it's at the end of an electrical impulse of the body to the mitochondria, then maybe it's crystalline structure somehow creates a small pulse of 600nm light when electricity is sent throughout it and gives a similar effect naturally.
    There are metal substrate flashlights which create light by a similar means of what I'm thinking(they can be very bright).

    I'm surprised he doesn't talk about structured water, specifically exclusion zone (EZ) water. That is what specifically maintains the negative charge on hydrophilic surfaces throughout the body, from cell membranes to the arterial wall. We know that certain factors like red light therapy or sunlight exposure increase EZ water. This is basic understanding in quantum biology.

      @@pammuller9204 You can do a very inexpensive DNA test with myheritage. then, with the raw file of the results, there are sites that will tell you whether or not you have mthfr mutations for no cost.

      @@luv2travel2000 Hi! I haven’t yet done this specific methylation test. I had concerns about my mental well being, went to my doctor (who I researched to find- out of the box- we got my fathers levels in check without statins etc) he asked for my DNA test I had done and that’s where he saw my genes. I would def do this methylation test now and the family as well to see more specifically what is up and to tailor supplements for actual use.

    TMG bypasses the folate enzyme MTHFR. That means even if you have the common gene mutation C677T, which hampers methylation, you can still benefit from Betaine TMG.

    I love to listen to Mr Brecka I’m 75 & decided to take responsibility for my health a long time ago when my father died at the hands of well meaning Drs taking many medications that didn’t solve his problems (pericarditis) the worst was prednisone for 4 1/2 yrs finally dying in surgery at 60. I then decided I was not going down that road. I do go to the Dr I get bloodwork but I do not take medications my best Dr is the beach at sunrise 4 x a week I take supplements & I walk 2-4 miles a day & do yoga with a teacher that works either my limitations. Thank you for this podcast

    I'm 39 and I am starting to sprint again. Started with play sprinting with the kids, realized it feels good, so I am at it now. Just need to work it somehow into my routine.

    Breath work is awesome and you can develop some of your own. Be careful about attempting to do too much too soon. It takes conditioning and self awareness to have great successes with relaxation, activity modulation, stress reduction and advanced healing.

    Just turned 50 I've never given up sprinting. I do it at least once per week mostly just for fun. I've never thought about doing it for exercise until a few months ago. 😳 I also do it to get across a room or someplace fast. I've done this forever.😅 great video!😊

    So a little about the PEMF and light therapy tech. I’ve been combining clinical strength light therapy and PEMF as it increases the light therapy penetration and effect. It is definitely a great marriage. Not sure about the limits in frequency modulation and ranges, number of light diodes, and intensity of the PEMF and photobiomadulation. But you’re certainly on the right track when you do put together devices for consumers and only master healthcare clinicians like myself have already use in combination for years.

      You can purchase a grounding mat, blanket, etc. I have a mattress topper that goes under my fitted cotton sheet. It’s plugged in to the wall outlet - only the grounding prong, not electricity. I’m grounding while I sleep all night. I am looking and feeling so much better since starting. Google search it. I do wish he would’ve addressed the indoor products you can buy. Of course, getting your feet on soil, grass, etc is best, you CAN get great effects from these products.

      Exactly! My grandparents were so frugal but they had a TON of money on both sides. I remember my grandfather telling me "you want to make money while you sleep." And I guess that attitude passed down to my dad (RIP), because I remember going to his house one day and I had bought something I really liked, so I wanted to show it to him. So I said "Look at this!
      Isn't it cute? It was on sale...I saved 50%!" My dad replied "Well, if you're spending, you're not saving." Obviously I had no retort, and that has always stuck with me.

    I used to around 15 supplements a day. Now i take 4 and try and get everything else from food. I agree with what gary is saying.... Does my body need all these supplements and are they even bio available to my body is a great question.

      I went to a well recommended Naturopathic Doctor in my area (I'm in Canada). She heard my symptoms, looked at my bloodwork and recommended immediately appropriate methylated b vitamins which radically improved my health within 3 days. She had me do a dna test (I went with 23 and me), gave her the raw data which she uploaded to an epigenetics company she trusted and that company gave us a bunch of info back specific to my genetics (and on how strong or weak the research is regarding each recommendation) My ND helped interpret it all to keep things simple and monitor my progress. I'm so grateful for how life changing it was. I feel 23 again and I've been learning so much about the actual science behind why and how this resolved All my symptoms (especially energy return, inflammatory pain gone, sugar cravings gone). It's so empowering to have strong health back and know i can keep going strong for decades to come.

Alternately you could do an Google search for "naturopathic doctor near me" or "metabolic testing near me", or methylation dna testing near me" and see what crops up and read the reviews of any clinic on the short list.

    Interesting guest and presentation! As someone who lives in a northern climate, I can see a problem with year-round grounding and getting enough sun exposure without also risking frostbite! But I guess this would've been a problem for northern (or southern, in the southern hemisphere) populations throughout human history.

    Gary, that story you tell of a leaf that is yellow or distressed and the expert tests the soil finding it nitrogen deficient needs a little change.     My only concern with the information is when he says it is ok to keep your eyes open during a Red Light Therapy session. According to Dr. Huberman using RLT for eye health is to be limited to around 3 minutes maximum once per week. Don't quote me... I'd have to listen to the podcast again...but it was definitely a short amount of time. Be careful with your eyes!!!

      Yeah, he overgeneralizes it, but I think the point about sprinting adds some context. As an example, your strength is fine if you can move around normally and lift the things you normally do, but if you suddenly have to do more than that (due to an event or injury) then what was fine becomes inadequate. VO2 max is a good predictor for longevity, but it can vary widely between people with otherwise perfectly fine O2 sat.

      Haha lots of people have suboptimal long capacity and can maintain an O2 of >95 while at rest - saying ur fine if you can do that is ridiculous. This isn’t about being able to survive, it’s about being an healthy as possible

      You don’t need 💯 O2 saturations. Above 92% is functional and even if you have high concentration of oxygen in your system, doesn’t mean that the inflammation will be directly affected. There’s more of an indirect relationship in that because the fact that the hemoglobin will fold over and hide the oxygen molecule when passing through inflamed areas. That’s why trying to get a bunch of oxygen in there like with cycling or swimming things like that works pretty good because some of them won’t be folded in and those ones will affect the area but just because your oxygen concentrations are high, doesn’t mean you’re getting high saturations in the areas of trauma or pathology.

      I tested "normal" but suffered oxygen hunger for two decades. 1.5 years ago I got methylation advice he spoke of and my breathing improved as an unanticipated bonus effect (along with radical improvement in energy and elimination of inflammation pain and sugar cravings and stabilization of upbeat calm mood). An able to exercise again and looking fwd to sprinting again soon.

But I keep my routine to the basics, regular exercise, walking, running, cycling, resistance training, I try to remember to get into the flat footed squat often, and I avoid processed foods, which is my only diet rule. And I do have a supplement stack as part of that routine, which include:
      D3, K2, lots Omega-3, magnesium, NAC/Glycine, Collagen peptides, creatine, multivitamin a few times a month.
      I intermittently take Niacin paired with diet coke, the unsung NAD booster, typically one week a month.
      And most importantly I live my life with purpose, keep a positive mindset, spend lots of time with friends and family, and I’m a moderate drinker, currently on an alcohol fast for the next three months.

    at the 26 min mark he starts talking about a cell membrane charge, and how charges are being exchanged. It's not just charges, but entire ions. Sodium, potassium, calcium, etc... Also most larger molecules and protein bound structures like lipoproteins, ferritin, use structures which intake things using ATP.     Never thought about sprinting as an issue after age 35. One of my workouts includes going to a local track, WU a mile or two, do 5-10 min Plyometrics ( don't want to pull something), then do 100 meter sprints progressions 20 down to 16 seconds with walk recovery, 5-6 or so. CD a few laps. I'm 65. We still need aenerobic fitness but that gets neglected as we age, out of fear of peak HR consequences I think.

    So isn’t it true that if you go barefoot onto your grass or dirt for five minutes that you can re-polarize your cells the same way I mean we do this with kids we have them take a blood sample look at it under the microscope and you can see it all stuck together, and then you go stand outside on the ground in the earth itself repolarize you in about five minutes of standing on the earth. Come back in 15 minutes later, do your blood again, and it will all be all slippery, then bouncing around lot cheaper

      You can buy a machine (< $100) to test for that. We use our machine around the home to know what to avoid.
      If EMF exposure is your concern buy RLT panels that have been grounded, or make sure the emf panels have 3 prongs so you can easily ground it yourself.

      the radio energy dissipating from it is extremely low because LED consume very little energy. If you are concerned you should never travel with an electric train, and never cook with an induction stove, not even with an electrical stove.       It's a complex scientific topic. I've been learning about it in my spare time for a year and a half. Hard to do justice in one quick comment.
      If you search up MTHFR and b vitamins you can find tons of information as that is the main gene but there are other relevant gene variants and various parts of methylation system in body with a number of cofactors and symptoms so getting help from an educated ND could help customize and optimize and simplify your specific approach based on your actual genes and your body's needs.
      I had low energy so my regular doc tested my b12. I took the lab results to a well recommended ND for a second opinion and it changed my health significantly for the better thanks to methylated b vitamin advice. We also confirmed my dna and specific genes impacted by synthetic b vitamins in junk food like north american bread. Best thing I ever did for myself. It gave my energy back, removed inflammation pain, stabilized my mood (calm and happy now, no more anxiety or terribly low moods), also eliminated my sugar cravings and improved my breathing.

    The problem with supplements, as with anything industrially processed, is that they can be high deuterium. And methylated forms will deliver deuterium directly into the cells. But there is no way to know if any given supplement is high deuterium or not. There is no regulation on this nor is testing common, and certainly you won't find deuterium levels on labeling. It's best to get nutrients from whole foods. Even something as simple as a collagen powder can be high deuterium.
    You can be certain that animal foods and fatty acids are low deuterium, with every essential and conditionally essential nutrient found in animal foods. If you're eating plenty of fatty animal foods (some combination of beef, pork, seafood, eggs, dairy, broth, etc), you can almost be guaranteed to have no nutritional deficiencies. Eggs alone have all the essential nutrients, if calcium can only be found in the eggshell and so maybe add some cheese to your eggs.

    Question for the both of you gentlemen: What’s your take on activated charcoal as a supplement? Should it be taken daily, occasionally, or at all? Are the claimed benefits more of a gimmick? And finally if you do recommend the substance, can you please recommend a brand that you’d trust with this supplement? I’ve had constant issues with bladder and stomach in general. It’s been a major hindrance on day to day life. Any suggestions and or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

      I've been experimenting lately with charcoal. Have it with psyllium fiber in the morning on an empty stomach. A good brand is called Zen. It's hardwood charcoal. It can be used for food poisoning and toxins I think. The downside is it can be constipating so drink plenty of water.
