    I noticed at 4:50 the Bodum was leaking like crazy during your pour.
    Crossing the Bodum off my potential list.

      That comes from pouring water around/over the metal vent sticking up inside the kettle. Avoid that and there's no leakage.

    Jeff, for future review videos, I'd be interested in best hot water thermos and best outdoor water boiler. I've got a Zojirushi thermos and a Jet boil, it'd be nice to see what you think of other brands too, like Stanley.

    Thank you very much for the review. I now know for sure I won't be getting the Bodum that's on sale

    the plastic cap in the bodum kettle is only to prevent transport damage and should be removed btw.

    I have the Willow and Everett. It worked great until the plastic press-down tab, the on switch, snapped off. Does anyone know if I can replace the whole bottom portion of the teapot which contains the electrical parts and the switch? I unscrewed the bottom but can see no way to turn it on without the tab switch, like by inserting something to press on something to make that happen! Thanks in advance.

    Why is a gooseneck important for loose leaf tea?

    • @JeffreyMcIntosh
      @JeffreyMcIntosh  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on your brewing style. But for me personally it helps control the speed and accuracy of the pour, which is helpful when pouring into small teapots or into gaiwans where you do not want to disrupt the tea leaves to much when brewing.

      @@JeffreyMcIntosh I didn't even know disrupting the tea had a effect on flavor. I am very new to drinking tea and am looking into a kettle, thanks for the info.

    what does stainless steel have to do with loose leaf tea brewing?

    • @JeffreyMcIntosh
      @JeffreyMcIntosh  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      For kettles it’s important not to have any plastic exposed part that are in contact with the hot water. Not only is it a health hazard but also it will drastic affect the taste of the water used for tea in a negative way. So I always prefer to use kettles that have pure stainless steel.
