Thank you sir. I am I my 80’s and slightly restricted. You bring back camping memories of old. Sometimes I actually feel like I am with you. Be happy.hugs & prayers😊
I've been alone in camp grounds that are creepy. Not comfortable. Windy nights, rainy nights, burned tent, abandoned tent, light when I thought there should be none. But, man, that place is a legit creepshow. And you don't make it any better.
I hiked the Long Trail in Vermont this past summer. Luke is right when he says falling is inevitable on wet rocks. No matter how focused you are, it will happen. Hurt my tailbone real bad. I was lucky nothing broke.
Trekking poles or just a good walking stick really help you scout those leave covered pools. I learned this the hard way. I stepped off into an area where I was almost completely submerged. It was heavy rain and I was on a trail I had only been down once. The water, following the path of least resistance, made it look as if the trail took a small bend to the left. I found out quickly that it was a pool of water almost four feet deep. The fresh leaves of fall made it look like a solid surface. Great video! Thank you for sharing!
Are you familiar with his other channel? A Quiet Place Adventures is his ASMR channel, I think most are commentary-free edits of some adventures on this channel.
Luke, thank you for a great adventure, I have to say that having to video record your journeys must be a real hassle, but you do an excellent job doing so! I always feel like I’m right there! Great job!
This is a great video, Thanks Luke! I will watch the other two videos in case I missed them. Blessings to you and your family. Michelle Reed, Gresham Oregon USA
Great video again Luke you always have great videos my friend. I hope you and susie had a great Christmas and a wonderful new year as well. Strength and honor.
If they throw stuff at you, just leave calmly and don't even look back. If they are screaming it means they are upset. Usually when they start throwing little stones, you have one to three nights until they will really escalate things and probably get physical. Usually they just don't want you there and since your not hunting or fishing you probably ain't making them too angry. Merry Christmas Luke, peace be with you and your family.
We can't expect him to believe they exist until he sees one. I'm glad I always knew they were real, since age 4 anyway, when my encounters began. I never doubted their reality or my sanity.
I've watched the previous videos of you hiking this mountain and you are a brave soul for going up there again! I understand why you like it though, it's a really beautiful trail!
Between my freshman and sophomore years of college, I was a survey aide for the US Forest Service. We felt eyes on us for days. Came around a curve to a mountain lion napping in the sun. It looked at us (5) and went back to napping. It was our stalker. We saw it walking parallel to us several more times before the job concluded.
You’re a brave man. I’ve hiked alone in pitch black forests with only a headlamp to light the way. I’m always uneasy and hyperaware. However, I’ve never done so on a trail like Devil’s Throne, in the rain, in the fog, with strange noises all around. I consider myself pretty fearless. But perhaps I’m not. Great video Luke!
Thank you!... The coffee segment! Never fails to boost a viewers spirits. Putting vid on quick pause cuz im gonna make a coffee and BRB to finish watching! 😊🫡
So cool, watching you hike through that mysterious and spooky forest in the rain. I am really looking forward to watching your overnight adventure there 😱
Nice video for a relaxing day after Christmas. Rocks that wet are so dangerous. One slip and hitting your head will put you out for a while. Ask me how I know. A broken nose and cheek taught me my lesson. Good job on this posting.
As an investigator, it sounds like you have been "paralleled" up the trail, then escorted out of the area. Very typical of a squatch. This could be a residential area for them.
Love your videos!! This place is so ancient looking, creepy!! Love horror movies, and this place looks like a good setting for a Stephen King movie!! By the way the chocolate coff😮 sounds amazing!!
Definitely one of the creepiest episodes, but you handled it like a champ, Luke! I do believe there are Sasquash, and If there were Sasquash near or at the Devil's Thrown, sure they were impressed by your lighthearted confidence and determination. Unintentionally, I think you've gained their respect. Season's Greetings and a very Happy, Healthy and Safe New Year!
I gotta say, that was fun. Honestly I rarely comment. I've been enjoying the honesty and the real of your channel for years. I actually live in Wilkes county and enjoy seeing some familiar areas filmed well and appreciate your camera's eye the photography/Cinematography, very cool! Best wishes, keep up the good work 👍
Hi Luke this was an awesome episode!! Nicely done!! Brother! It would be awesome if you could make a movie video of this episode, if I can watch AB Camping episodes…!! I can surely watch yours!! You always do an awesome job with editing!! So, with that said, yes!! Make a movie episode of big foot!! STRENGTH AND HONOR brother be well!! 👍🏽👍🏽❤️❤️💯💯
Any minute I expect to have something jump out of those bushes. You are so brave. I hope you have back up light and batteries. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
My wife and I both thought those sounds were water (i.e. rain) falling into or exiting some echoing rocky channel. Like the wastewater from your washing machine burbling out of a drainpipe/into a drain. I'd be surprised if those sounds repeated on a dry day.
BOO!! 😅 Loved the dramatic tension 😮 However, I was more impressed with some good decision making and gear preparedness. Particularly, chocolate coffee ☕️ Sounds like the wonderful Vietnamese coffee we sometimes get our hands on. Bravo from North Borneo 👏
It’s amazing how we hear things that would normally not bother us, but change to a remote location and do so alone and every sound is something that’s gonna getcha. I don’t believe in Bigfoot until I’m alone and in a tent at night and hear something. 😊
Hey ! I was subscribed !! YT weird algorithm strikes again. Just out of spite I have re-subscribed. Well plus I like these, watching Luke get rained on is very pleasant when you're warm indoors. I used to stay at a cottage where if you went outside at night you could half hear conversation and laughter, nothing out there but the sea ...
The only Devil's Throne I know of is on Whiteside Mountain between Cashiers and Highlands in Jackson County. But I was always led to believe it was inside of a cave. I live very close to a place called Devil's Courthouse in the Great Balsam Mountains where Haywood, Jackson, and Transylvania Counties come together. From the limited view, this looks a lot like the Black Balsam area. Interestingly enough, the Cherokee legend of the giant Jutaculla (or Judaculla) is centered in that area. I used to love to sit and listen to my great great grandmother tell me stories of Boojum and Spearfinger waiting to snatch up misbehaving children. She would scare me half to death, but I can still hear those stories in her voice. What I've actually found is, In nearly 40 years of exploring, the western NC mountains can simultaneously be spooky, serene, and mesmerizing; but there's really nothing supernatural out to get you. Nothing can mess with you like your own mind.
@donolinger6904 I know the truth now. There's absolutely nothing supernatural out there. These are just legends, and nothing more. With advancements in technology and human habitation further encroaching into once wild areas, there should be evidence of something, somewhere. But there's still nothing. If you go into the woods convinced you'll have an "encounter", then perhaps you'll have one. But it's nothing more than your mind's ability to fool you into seeing things that aren't there. I've seen shapes in the fog, and in the trees. I've heard voices in the wind. But I assure you, there's nothing tangible to any of it.
I can’t believe you went up there on a day trip knowing what the weather was going to be. Had it been me I would’ve hunkered down for the night and left the next morning.
That is definitely an eery noise - I would most certainly have stepped up my pace out of there ! Season's Greetings - or Crăciun Fericit from the Carpathian Mountains.

I agree. I use mine ALL the time and if its over leaves or any covered area, I check it first with the poles.
@ it’s a wise choice to carry them. The more you carry them, the more uses you find for them.

You've been watching way too much internet.
What in god's name are you babbling about?
If they spoon with you inside the tent, just let them be the big spoon and don't question it. They will slowly calm down after that.
Bigfoot’s like: “There’s a guy up here walking around in the rain! Now, he’s talkin’ about coming back to spend the night! Scary!” LoL

White knuckled for your safety up there but filled with gratitude. That place is magnificent!!!!
Last time you were there, the trail turned into a river!! You’ve got huge, you know what’s, going there at night! Thanks for the video!
You keep avoiding the possibility you’re being stalked by Sasquatch. Why so you think it’s called “Devil’s” Throne….wood devils?
Did I miss something?🤔 I don't recall seeing or hearing him avoid anything.🤨
Yea. You couldn't get me to go to any place called "Devil's Throne". I've learned that places have names like that for a reason.
