Always good to hear from other people living here in Spain. Great chat between you and Simon. Many thanks for sharing :)
Thanks for this. A group of us travel out there next week to stay in a villa. Very much looking forward to it. Will be sure to visit the sky bar! Thanks for the tip! Any other restaurants you would point us towards at all?
Well working at the moment is not to bad as its summer, but obviously winter time is a low slower. But if you are setting up your own business that’s different. There are places to rent, but it depends on what you want. A 2 bed apartment will cost you 425 to 500€ You need to be here really to look for a job and an apartment. I hope you are subscribed to the channel, new subscribers really help🙏🙏
Hi Barry, As an American citizen I understand that I could only live there anywhere in Spain for 90 days at a time then leave for 90 days in a country outside the Schengen Zone before returning for another 90 days. And Im wondering if you keep doing that routine for years will they not allow you to keep doing it? Also who will rent to me there in Spain for just 3 months at a time? Im thinking it's very difficult if not impossible.
You will be able to rent ok Rick, people do weekly monthly rentals so not a problem. The Valencia government are trying to overturn the 90 day rule, but whether they will be successful no one knows. Don’t you want to go for residency here? Hopefully you are subscribed to the channel, but please send the video to friends and family in the USA, I want more subscribers there. Thanks for looking in Rick and your great question. Barry
@@AllAboutSpainbyBarryHaylor Hi Barry, I thank you for taking the time to answer my question. I've been living here in Mexico for many years because it's very easy to just get 6 month visas without having to apply for temporary or permanent residency. Mexico just upped the income requirement in order to acquire residency here and I'm really not interested in going through the process. I think I could get it by proving that I have adequate money in my bank account but since I'd like to try Spain or a different country then what's the point? Do you have any specific contacts I could get to assure that I would have a monthly rental there before going there to Spain? I would prefer to go to a country looking at it as a longer term place to live knowing that I have a secure place to stay if that's possible.
We ve bought in the city center of Valencia some 5 years ago, can t imagine thatCalpe can compare with in terms of cultural events, cosmopolitain touch, reachability, perhaps better beach, but actually there are a lot of shitholes down the costa brava
Calpe is in the northern Costa Blanca and we all have different tastes. And you can’t compare Valencià to Calpe, two totally different locations. But thanks for your comments.
Thanks for your reply, I enjoy watching your videos to get another perspective, but you also should download a video about the challenges buyers are facing, poverty, homelessness, beggars, okupados … you name it. @@AllAboutSpainbyBarryHaylor
