The original, based on The Seven Samurai is a Magnificent film
Im a huge movie buff and nerd but this is one of the few cinema masterpieces I never got to watch. I love the 60s spaghetti western era. Im just as much a huge fan of Eastern cinema. While I know Akira Kurosowa I never watched his love child and the movie that immortalized Kurosowa.
Im not asking for spoilers. But could you tell me the basic premise. Are the 7 samurai also a bunch of outsiders completely diverse and different banding together originally from selfish motivations but for a noble cause? I love the aspect in The Magnificent 7 that shows these guys are bandits, outlaws and odd balls that would be shunned by society. Anti-heroes becoming heroic heroes without realizing.
Is The 7 Samurai a similar plot which The Magnificent 7 is based on? Are the 7 samurai all different too and outsiders?
And what do you love about the 7 Samurai?

Underrated film
Classic good western. But what it shows you is that these 7 men while they helped her for money. They each found something more than money. Deep down each one of these men even though they were fully scrupulous men, the were honorable men who stood up to tyrant.
My favorite cowboy movie. Loved all the Magnificent 7 actors. Horne was my favorite. So funny. Chris Pratt and Denzel. They where all great. Glad you did this reaction.
One of the best Western movie I've seen. You should react to "Open Range" and the remake of "3:10 to yuma"

Hiya. Having watched the original with Yul Brynner hundreds of times (literally) and then the sequels (not so many times), I just can't get into this one. Sorry. But each to their own, huh? Stay safe. All the best to you.
Unpopular opinion here. I prefer this version of The Magnificent Seven than the 1960 version.
well...I personally like the movie. I saw the originals and the Seven Samurai. The complaining is just stupid mimimi. As if the people can see the difference in quality...
