i walked away from this town in 2003 and never looked back for 10 years then went there 2013 it was a alien landscape full of eastern Europeans god help the town
I visited Boston last month for the first time, what a beautiful market town. I was shocked how many Asians and Romanians were there though. Very few English in the town centre and the people I thought were English turned out to be Polish. It was in the daytime during the week so maybe all the English were at work, the Romanians certainly weren't at work.
It were reight back in the day, when ya could take your own sister in the fens and make a new dolly for her to play with in 9 months, while your uncle John watched, rubbing his manky leg through his manky keks, mecking noises like a Billy goat! As me old mam used to say "If it ain't from Boston, it's not inbred!"
Actually recorded in 2000, late August infact. It even shows the date during the police station scene and on some of the later CCTV. The footage used at the start from the CCTV was from July 1999 but that’s it. It was aired in October of 2000.
awful, absolutely unwatchable, the cameraman was shaking like a sh*tt*ng dog all the way thru, i"ve been out had 7 pints just settled down with a bottle a vodka missed coronation street had a row wi the missis what can ya do!

@@ferralpip I know of Saturday Nights Alright for Fighting. Boston is not far from where Elton’s wordsmith Bernie Taupin is from. However, he referenced this Boston in the opening line of their song Holiday Inn. “Boston at last and the plane’s touching down.” This one has Logan International Airport. The Boston Harbor is also where disgruntled colonists dumped lots of tea in it, to protest the king’s tea tax.

We are lucky to have the wolds surrounding us,an area of outstanding natural beauty.and of course in Boston and Skegness the beach is a stone's throw away .interesting history about the tea tax I didn't know they did that at the harbour, would that be king Jame's tax ? At that time? quite expensive tea then lol,all the best from the UK 👍
@@ferralpip it was actually King George. It occurred in 1773. It was more of a protest against Parliament, ie taxation without representation. The King sent more British military to blockade Boston Harbor. Then in 1776 they presented the Declaration of Independence on the 4th of July. On the bicentennial on 04/07/1976 Elton John played at what was Schaefer Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts. Today it’s Gillette Stadium home of the New England Patriots an American Football team. Anyway, Massachusetts being one of the original 13 colonies, it’s no coincidence that a great of the cities, towns, etc were named after British places, hence Boston which is Suffolk County. We also have a Plymouth, Braintree, Worcester. Also some that have Native American names. Eastern: Massachusett, Nipmuc, Wampanoag (southeast). The name Massachusetts means great hills. The name Wampanoag was one of the tribes that resided in this area.
I know most of this is just people battering each other but it’s proper nice to see old footage of Boston as I remember it when I was a kid.
The kebab shop was a toy shop owned by the Barrand sisters many years ago . My first teddy came from there . And I do mean MANY years ago

Boston was the inbreeding capital of the UK, until the immigrants came.

No nightlife at all these days in Boston. Town is on its arse and overrun by immigrants. So much damage has been done in 20 years or so
All work and no play made Boston a very dull town but it was always rough.
