just for your info make sure you have that belt on correctly. fitted and secure in the grooves under and over. I lost two belts before it wouldn't peel the belt apart,
My belt came off and popped on me today is the wheel part on the tensioner suppose to be wobbly when the belt is off? Or is that the problem for the belt popping?
What is the name of the pulley underneath the belt tensioner? Mine heated up really fast and started to spark fire from the metal coming from the grocery store and it caused my car to shut off 4 times before I made it home.
@@deborahgarcia4583 Yes I did. I have to replace the Ac clutch assembly. The clutch is sticking. I found the part online for 83 bucks. It comes with the clutch, the pulley and the coil. It's a lot less expensive than buying the entire compressor. I hope this helps you.
I was interested on how difficult it was to remove the idler pulley assembly. The bearing in mine is starting to be too loud. This video hit the spot. Easy.
Ty that leverage hole helped my ole self . Thanks so much for putting this video out here sir..
Took me 10min following this video, thank you.
Thanks for this video it really helped me
Remember to make a Schematic a drawing of the way the belt goes on and make sure belt fits squarely in between the pulleys .
What tool did you use to keep the tensioner loose without having to hold the socket wrench?

Do I have to replace the tensioner pulley om my MGM with 85,000 miles?
Only if it is making noise or not keeping the belt tight enough.

Does this apply to an 2001 crown victoria?
Yup, all the crown vics engines are made the same besides minor differences in the throttle body
