Thanks for the video, did my Ford fiesta, nice quick job only 10-15 mins. I used a pipette to take out half the diesel in the filter housing before removing the old filter. Then fitted the new filter and then poured the diesel back in. Car started straight away and no problems. Thanks again for the video.
Thanks so much for this helpful video, did mine today and the car fired up no problem. I had a right chew on like as I took more bolts out than necessary and spent about 2 hours trying to put it back together in the right order 😂
@@RichardSmith-jm7ib They're like a 10mm bolt, but a flange nut. I'm not sure what size flange nut. I ended up snapping one and in the end just replaced it with a standard 10mm bolt, did the trick.
Thank you for this very handy video. I have just changed the filter on my 2018 Cmax. Made a bit more difficult as the filter is buried under the scuttle panel on the cmax, but it was otherwise a breeze. Only other thing I did was to drain the filter bowl and gave it a clean out, as there was a surprising amount of dirt at the bottom.
Thanks a lot for the video! I'm driving a 2019 1.5TDCI and tried to change the diesel filter. But somehow the metal cover stays stuck at the screw at the firewall despite I removed the screw. Any idea what the issue might be?
What is that low whining noise sound? Near the end of the video. I have the exact same car and always wondered what or where it comes from. It's like a low electrical whine....
I have a 2016 Ford escape no good info were fuel filter is not online and video shows fuel pump removal from tank I did not see filter???? 1.6 liter thank you for any help
Does not draining the filter bowl have any effect on the car starting? I'd like to drain it completely and fill with fresh diesel but will the fact it was completely drained cause a no start
Can you tell me why you removed the oil cap to do the fuel filter replacement?. You didnt show a clip of removing the oil cap at the start or to why you did it, but mentioned it needed putting back on at the end of the video.
I was carring out a full service replacing the oil also. I have done that part and refilled it. But obviously before you start a car you need to put it back on. That's the only reason. I was probably talking to myself so I remembered. Thanks for watching
My daughter has a 2015 focus diesel 15 which won’t start I recently went over and charged her battery and a week later still got power in the battery but won’t start she’s 60 miles away so giving her advice over the phone could it be the neutral safety switch / starter. Any advice great fully appreciated
I find that even with a charge if its low. You might have enough volts but the amps might be too low to actually crank it over. If its an original battery it's 8 years old. I would try a brand new battery. This works 90% of the time
Wtf all the dirt from the filter got to the bottom of the housing where dirt go through 10nMeter grid instead of 2nMeter external fiber of the cartridge. Clean housing first and only then insert new cartridge back.
A szűrő edény tele maradt kosszal. Azt ki kell szívni, ki törölni és úgy berakni a szűrőt, utána felönteni egy kis gázolajjal és kész. Így a koszos üzemanyagot jól felkavarva került bele a szűrő.

@@JaseMears ok thanks mate I’m doin mine next weekend just making sure I have the right tools.
@@RichardSmith-jm7ib Yeah there's like 3 bolts I believe on the top cover, just 10mm. Follow this video to a T and you should have no trouble!

Shouldn't the remaining fuel be sucked out along with the dirt that's left there?
@@rafalp-ta9197 if you want to. I didn't have any issues.
