Course safety workers are vital to the wellbeing of all that race. The nerve of this guy laughing and that me attitude is disgusting. I hope the safety worker is doing well, they have regular jobs like you and me.
1:45 that guy almost got cut in half. the bed of the truck and the windshield smashed together if that dude's body rolled in the wrong direction he would have been pinned and possibly died. holy shit.
In a real series, every last one of the drivers would have been sanctioned. There's absolutely no excuse for grossly overdriving yellows and ignoring a full course black flag.
+Lisette Pierce (LftMyHrtInNOLA) What difference does that make? Under yellow flag, you take your foot off the gas - period. He didn't do that, which is why he even bumped into the back of the car in front of him going into the corner already, because that car was slowing down for the scene of the accident, which he didn't care about at all. He completely ignored the rules for racing under yellow flag: Keep a safe distance, no full throttle, no overtaking moves and slow the fuck down if your view of the accident is blocked.
I know this is a year on, but you are an idiot. so what if the driver was curious about the condition of the marshal. No one is saying the driver caused the accident on purpose. What everyone is saying is that there is full course yellows, this means slow the hell down and expect there to be marshals on the track and unexpected things around any corner. It also means ABSOLUTELY ZERO racing/passing. If the driver was doing the right thing and abiding by the rules, this would never have happened. It is the drivers carelessness that could have taken this guys leg or worse, life. Any driver that ignores yellows should be banned from racing for life.
Are you kidding me? People still racing at full tilt while track workers are out on an extremely narrow section of track. If i was that track worker i genuinely would have sued, I'm not typically the type to cry lawsuit but that near miss with the marshal was disgraceful.

Carlton?
Like they said on Adam Carolla's CarCast Podcast, the race should have been at a full yellow to clear up the crash.
I'm sorry...I missed the part where Mr. Flannery crashing like that and risking injuring/killing that worker is actually supposed to be funny.

Sean Flannery didn't even know that a man was standing there.

I'm not sure how these American races work, but if theres a safety truck out there, the cars should have been under red flag.
