I've pitched similar things before. There's a whole underground town under the town I went to school at which was built during the cold war which I've been desperate to do a mini doc on and other unusual spots similar in the UK
I was just thinking this too!! I turned to my husband and said “I wouldn’t be surprised if he ended up on Countryfile or something!” 😄 @ThatcherJoeVlogs - maybe do a TH-cam series 🤷🏽♀️🙃
As a Canadian, I love everything UK, the history is just amazing. This perspective of Joe is relatable. No fancy this or fancy that, just a lad walking and showing us cool stuff!
Joe I did my A Level English coursework (a 3500 word essay) about your channel and am wondering if you’d like to read it😅 Chances you’ll see this are low but worth a try x
Such a great vlog!!! Loved the quality camera, and the music in the background of the walks was fab, felt like we were all on a fun mischevous adventure together. What beautiful and interesting locations. This really brightened my day. Thanks Joe :)
I am from the U.S. and I do enjoy watching TH-cam videos on UK country walks because your country sides are gorgeous and I find it curious that you can just walk through other peoples fields and go through random gates. It’s so cool! ❤
As someone who lives in Canada who doesn’t have this rich culture and history around the corner I would watch you doing videos like this all day!!! Love this content and equally have the fascination you have Joe!
This is one of my favourite videos you have ever made! I’m so in love with the English countryside and the UK in general and i found this so captivating and beautiful❤️🔥. Thank you!
I absolutely love that each of your vlogs this month are all so interesting and different. Literally getting the right mix of everything! Hope you're having fun doing it all!
This vlog was so interesting. I would love to watch you do more stuff like this. Please never be afraid to show us / tell us about things that you are interested in. Your interest shines through and is what makes this vlog even better us a viewer 🫶
I visited the tomb a few years ago around Easter time and they had sheep and loads of baby lambs jumping around playing in the grave yard , such a beautiful village
Well done joe it was so interesting too see something we wouldn't normally see if we didn't know it was there. Loved every minute, definitely do more of these please xx
Joe. Fantastic vlog I love things like this, I do walks on my channel but this was great, also loved hearing about your family tree I did mine a few years ago now it's great having it all together I have ever one in my family a copy 10/10 it's great to see diff things . Michael and Karen
Yet another fantastic vlog you just know how to keep us entertained 🎉 you could visit the peak district lots of weird buildings and stories plus capability brown was responsible for Chatsworth House gardens. Well done again well and truly a Joe follower now 👍
Someone yesterday mentioned that you and Dot should have some kind of travel show. Please do it.All those stories like when Dot bought clothes in polish toilet while traveling to Zakopane 😂 etc.
20 minutes from Brightling is Bodiam castle. Mad Jack bought it to save it from demolition, maybe you could explore that as well and do some metal detecting in the area.
Enjoying your vlogs Joe. Yesterdays additional information from 'Who You Think You Are' series was interesting and today wow I was not expecting that pyramid in the churchyard! Fascinating story but so so out of place IMO. A perfect vlog to watch on a dark Autumnal evening. Thanks.
Thanks Joe for the content you put out. I enjoy all your vlogs as they cover such varying subjects, but this is definitely one to recommend to friends.
It’s so nice seeing this type of vlog where you are just exploring, satisfying your curious itch and just being with nature. I once shared that kind of happiness a long time ago
Thanks you ever so much for the Lovely stroll. I live in North Carolina in between the mountains and the beaches, it’s Beautiful here. At the moment our Mountains have been hit so very hard by the hurricane. Please say a pray for them. Thank you in advance for the prayers.🙏🏼💐
Fab video, please do more of these trails it's so interesting. Bat Tower in Kent is spooky but the whole walk through Scords woods is brilliant, few miles from Churchill's home and estate.
I live in the desert of Las Vegas, so any bit of British countryside I can see (either in person or in film) makes me absolutely giddy 😍 I want greenery and rain so bad, so I have to live vicariously through others. So thank you for any of your vlogs that contain the beautiful scenery that I crave...I definitely appreciate it! 💗
Loved this vlog, I am interested in history too, and although I have heard of Capability Brown, I hadn't known what he did, so thanks for that part of the video, very interesting and informative. Would love you to do more like this, maybe around Wiltshire, if there are any interesting historical things that went on in Lacock, minus Harry Potter obviously, 😀 or Somerset, where I am, we have Shepton Mallet Prison here, where the Kray twins went, but that's all I know 😂. Great Vlog Joe, it's no wonder you've had an influx of new subscribers x❤
Definitely one of my fave vlogs. I love history, countryside and exploring places that have so much stories. However, also unknown stories and facts that people tend to talk about which makes you go into so much conspiracies and research. Felt like I was joining in with you as a tour. You would be such a great tour guide 😂. Definitely look forward to have more videos like this 😊.
I vote for more walks! Thank you for taking us out on this little adventure. I love walking so it was like walking with a mate, having a chat. I did talk to you Joe but you didn't seem to be listening 😂
We have one on Boxhill. There's a tower. It's now ruined but it's really cool. There is also a grave of a man who was buried upside down in hope the would would right itself again. The Surrey Hills are on north downs and it's just beautiful. The other place is pains hill it's full of follies.
This vlog was so perfect! You need to have your own history show or vlog series at the very least on the channel. it seems to come so naturally to you and you seem to enjoy it!!
You gotta come to faversham and look at the towns, especially gunpowder.. if you like your random buildings and old architecture, you'll love it and faversham itself. 👌👍
I moved to Portugal just over 5 years ago and before that I lived in the UK for 8 years. My biggest regret is not having seen anything of the UK. I do miss the woody areas for walks with our dog (dogs now). Loved going a day in the weekend to walk in the woods. But didn't do it nearly enough!
Afternoon Joe love your vlogs & your walk abouts . Also was nice seeing your lovely lady . Are you going to vlog putting your Halloween stuff up again ? Keep doing this love it 😊
I think the tv show you were talking about is “maid” , Dianne said it was a film but it is deffo a show lol and it’s about the exact thing you were describing :) loved the vlog !! 🤩🤩❤️
Joe would be so good on BBC history channels and explore ancient parts of the UK and take us along the journey. Get on it Joe 😅
I've pitched similar things before. There's a whole underground town under the town I went to school at which was built during the cold war which I've been desperate to do a mini doc on and other unusual spots similar in the UK
