New Volkswagen Touareg R-Line Launched in Malaysia At RM469,990 - Too Expensive or Good Buy?

The VW Touareg made a return to the Malaysian market after 12 long years. And since then, a lot has changed for the Touareg. It is better and more sophisticated than ever. But it also marks the first time a Touareg has been assembled outside of Bratislava - where the Touareg has been made since 2002.
So when VW Malaysia announced the price of RM469,900, it came as a bit of a shock to some. "Isn't it too expensive for a locally-assembled model?" Said some members of the media. It is just RM50,000 cheaper than the BMW X5, and Malaysians are suckers for brands.
But did VW Malaysia really miss the boat? Or are they going to nail this one?

Nice car with lots of higher end technology like the air suspension and night vision. but the design i think a little bit dated but inside is cool got that Audi feeling 😅 and with 340hp i think it is quite a powerful suv, for this price is oklah not bad considering Malaysia car tax is very high 😅

Just too expansive with limited brand presence vs big boys . VW is the peoples car not considered a luxury brand

For this price, can buy 2 Honda CRV hybrid and also almost a Proton S70.. Prefer Lexus
RX500H to this.
