The AMS HPFP installation instructions are quite vague about accessing the fuel pump fuse in the IPDM, as it is a bit involved. As the IPDM sits next to the battery, the IPDM cover needs to be removed to access the fuse. The only way to do that is to remove battery, as the IPDM cover has three release tabs, two on the bottom, and one on top. The IPDM can be released via two tabs from its mounting bracket, which provides some freedom of movement, but it is still not enough room to access the cover release tabs unless the battery is removed. The best way to relieve the fuel pressure is via the Consult tool, but as that is $$$$, removing the rear seat and unplugging the LPFP harness is the easier way to relieve the fuel pressure.
@@EnthusiastPOV hey I know you have the ins with AMS. Have you heard anything about the RA500 and 600 packages? I emailed them over a week ago and never heard back. I just didn't wanna screw myself out of a bundle deal like I did on red Friday. I bought intakes to get the coolant expansion not realizing that for the deal you had to buy the heat exchanger and downpipes which I already had lol
Whats up bro, when you have the hood open, trunk, or anything like the doors partially open remote start wont work. It has sensors there that the car monitors so if someone gets n w.o the key it will shut off and kill the car.
Thanks for these great videos MH. Really appreciate all the hard work put into these. I've been watching your vids for months now and i don't even have my Q50 yet. Gotta wait till September for the current lease to run out. Quick question about running an E85 set up. Can you still tune for regular 91 or do you need to run E85 from now on?
is it necessary for me to reflash the car after these installs? & I mean for it to just run not for the gains yet necessarily. I ask because I just did this install yesterday & now I have a misfire code, & I haven’t retuned yet because I’m waiting for my tuner to send me a tune.

If you plan to run E85, I would recommend getting compatible fuel injectors from Nostrum Energy, which are due to be released 4Q2019. They will be available through AMS Performance.
Not sure I'd have enough balls to take this on with high pressure fuel lines. You did great!
Thank you lol
Great job. Another real and quality video. Always making the daunting seem easy.
Nice DIY vid, very detailed and easy to understand. Nice job man 👍
Fix! Looks perfect now. Thanks!

Either way the fuel pressure can be relieved. Accessing the IPDM can be done without removing the battery as I’ve learned after this video.
Just placed my order this morning. Watching this now just to get ready. I can't wait! Thx for the DIY

@@EnthusiastPOV oh ok. I never saw any info on it other than the parts. Just wanted to make sure it's not a bulk buy deal that I'm missing out on. Thx
@@EnthusiastPOV I couldn't find their number on the site so I emailed. You happen to have it?
Do you have an issue with the fuel line vibrating at certain speeds/gears after AMS high and low fuel pump installation?

Lol all you can do is laugh.. it happened to me to bro.. its all good.. keep up the great content
can i use AMS VR30 Stage 1
High Pressure Fuel Pump and Stage 1 Direct Injectors with Turbo pure
What would happen if you don’t “bleed” the fuel system ? a lot of gas spills ?
Hi Just wondering should you remove the cam follower and inspect it for wear?
Do u need anything else.to run e85 full time...will the lines hold.up...good videos i enjoy ur context
Btw can u make a video how to expose the car flooring. Thinking of installing sound deadening. Thanks for the tip how to remove rear seats.

@@EnthusiastPOV Got it. Thanks for the quick reply.
Thats all i need to use e85 or is there any mods needed. I want to start modding my q60.your videos are awesome.
If I have an Ecutek tune on a 3.0t could I run e85? If so what kinds of gain would I see? If I can’t, what would be needed to do so?
What did you replace the hose you damaged with? (on the low pump assembly)
Replaced it with a new hose
Enthusiast POV where could I find these hose? I’ve looked everywhere & Infiniti wants to charge me 600 for a whole assembly which I don’t need.
Is it worth the upgrade?
First for the fast guy 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
how much do you think this install should cost?
Around 2-3 hours labor
You left us hanging. What kind of performance gains did you get?
I didn’t leave anyone hanging my e85 tune Video is up, feel free to browse.
saw your car on AMS instagram, did you get tuned yet?

Yes I’d advise that it is. Otherwise improper install of the fuel pump itself can lead to a blown injector
Enthusiast POV so its possible that it threw a cel because the tune isn’t updated? Thanks for the response!!
Did you ever find out what it was?
oblivious_q50 ?
