I'm absolutely obsessed with so much of their music. They hit some deep obscure feelings. Best I can describe it. This type of music never disappeared in Europe, it just progressed, it's not just an 80's thing.
I FUCKING LOVE THIS BAND SO MUCH.
One of the most perfect songs ever made. I love the lyrics - so original yet they speak to all of us. "I'll be the king of the carpool" is just a brilliant lyric that sum sup modern life, broken dream, succumbing to normality (to me anyway). Genius

had an inpatient stay at a mental health facility last august. for some reason they let us have the remote to the tv, it was my turn to have the remote so i put this on. it made me feel a little like i was at home in a place that was so extremely unfamiliar and uncomfortable to be in. love ❤️

@ I had a hawk and sunglasses. I agree it’s a bummer they get bunched together with industrial bands and that they didn’t get a full set. Also noticed one member left and the singer switched from bass to guitar . Loved the set though . Thought it was nicely selected

Does anybody know the vocal effects he’s using? Would it be possible to achieve a similar sound through a pedal?
saturation or otherwise running the vocals hot, delay around 50-100ms, bit of phaser

@@Riddickisawesome101 oh yes! it means the signal going into the console (a studio board, audio interface, laptop, whatever) is getting tiny bit distorted, not to the point where it's noisy, but it can give a nice sound.
in the analog world, you do this by setting the gain/input a little too high so it's clipping. there are a lot of digital effects that can do the same. heavy saturation will do if you're recording.
