Have you tried getting the wifi+cellular version? Having always on 5G without relying on a hotspot is a genuine game changer - no video buffering, no unstable video calls, no late notifications. The iPad is no longer an absolute brick without wifi, it’s pretty amazing snd convenient.
I honestly haven’t at this point, it’s always seemed like a lot of extra to spend when a hot spot does the trick most of the time, but I do get what you’re saying and would like to get an iPad with that eventually
Completely agree with you. I ordered mine with cellular because it’s so portable that I want to carry it with me everywhere but it’s of no use without an internet connection and using my iPhone as a hotspot drains the battery life. I think a cellular connection is a game changer for the iPad mini.
I always get the cellular iPad minis. It is so portable and it provides an extra hotspot (to my iPhone ) when I travel. You never know what will happen on the road.

I own the bigger iPads and I have the iPad mini 4 and I love the form factor so easy to hold in the hands for longer periods of time. Have you tried holding the iPad Pro 13 inch for any length of time you will end up with a broken arm 😅

I really don’t mind not having ProMotion I already have an iPhone 15 Pro Max 1TB so this is just a backup for emails and entertainment, this would be my first iPad so I don’t mind it 🙌🏽
How do you feel about the lack of promotion screen? I really like the form factor of the mini but I’m worried the lack of 120hz will bother me. The iPad Pro m4 is kinda overkill for me tho and I’m not sure if I wanna pay the premium for the pro just for the display
I would definitely prefer ProMotion. But honestly it’s the worst when navigating the Home Screen and then as soon as I am in an app, I hardly ever think about it. At least that’s been my experience with it
Well, it just depends on what you’re looking for. The iPad Mini won’t have the ProMotion display like you’re used to so it might seem slower just because the screen isn’t refreshing as fast. And the M2 processor is gonna be more powerful for sure. That being said, if this is just a note-taking device or content consumption device then none of that stuff may really matter. What I would recommend is to go to an Apple Store or a Best Buy or something that locally carries the iPad Mini and see it in person, see how the screen refreshes, then decide if it’s still what you want to do

I am a heavy user from dusk til dawn, so two years for me is the equivalent of 4 - 6 years for most others. I bought a kindle just for reading books so I saved a bit of wear on my last Mini 6 which allowed me a bit of extra resale value that went toward my new A17pro mini. I have no doubt that when the next version of mini is released I’ll have it on preorder.
Cellular easily no contest. I used to be that guy that just relies on wifi and hotspot all the time but having cellular was a gamechanger. This transforms the iPad from a mostly brick at home device to a truly go anywhere powerhouse. I can’t really stress enough how much of a QoL upgrade it is.

Completely pointless to get the cellular if you're always at home. You can use hot spot on your phone so there's literally no point if you're just at home.
Until your neighbor decides to build a fence without a permit, damages the neighborhood fiber optic tap and you have no home internet for 2 weeks. That’s when even having the cellular iPad mini makes sense 😂

The vertical videos was more for a test because TH-cam supposedly now will add any vertical videos up to 3 minutes into the Shorts feed. But apparently it didn’t work or at least not very well. So I do apologize for that. I’ve had this same background music in basically all my previous videos. Did it seem louder or something? What didn’t you like about it?

Yeah it can depend, but I’d say unless you know you’re gonna have a bunch of files on this device, just go with the base 128 GB
