Swapping the Nib on A Jinhao x450 Fountain Pen

In this video I swap the nib on a Jinhao x450 fountain pen with a No. #6 Goulet branded Jowo nib. The same technique works for many Jinhao and other 'friction fit' fountain pens.
I also demonstrate how to fill the pen, and do a writing sample.

Watermans inks are great and the bottle has a facet on it enabling you to get the ink out when it's low by tilting it over.

What a timely video! Earlier today I was practicing writing with my right hand. (How do you right-handed people do it???) I have a Levenger True Writer that I wanted to be my main pen for the rest of my life but the nib was loose (maybe I should have just pushed it back into place but I didn't know as much about fountain pens then) and ink was leaking from the section at the top and bottom. I discarded the section and nib and now just have an empty incomplete pen that looks good but is useless. For some reason the converter start to not fit well into the barrel; may the material of that or the pen was swelling for some reason? This video has me thinking about looking into replacement parts for the pen or trying one more with a new True Writer. My pen that I had so much trouble with, "abalone" is how it's described, is still the most beautiful pen, though incomplete, that I own and it's sad that things didn't work out with it. Maybe something can still be done...
