MUSLIM SHRINE & MOSQUE REMAINS IN PUNJAB INDIA AFTER 1947 PARTITION | INDIA PARTITION 1947 STORIES

Nomadic Jas is in the small town of Sham Chaurasi where a large Muslim population lived before the 1947 partition of India. When Punjab was partitioned, Muslims from East Punjab headed west and the Sikhs and Hindu’s from West Punjab headed eastwards. The Partition of India and the Partition of Punjab is a much written about subject where large numbers of the local population were forced to leave their homes. Stories from both sides of the border are available in testimonies on TH-cam and the shocking events of that time are still felt today. I am here to check out a Muslim Sufi Dargah that has existed before the 1947 partition of India. There are no muslims here after the migration, so is it looked after ? What state in the Dargah in ? Is it still a respected place of worship ? Or did the migration result in places of worship and monuments belonging to the community who left these behind not being looked after. Have you ever tried to see the condition of Temples in Pakistani Punjab? Killings and looting of Hindus and Sikhs started by Muslim League and Jamat e Islami in early March, 1947 in Kohat and Rawalpindi.
