To be on time is to be late, to be early is to be on time.
Why do these people think they are entitled to delay the other 2-3k people on the ship. Next time DON'T TAKE A PRIVATE EXCURSION. The cruise lines will tell you that. Cruise ships are like airplanes they have a schedule for a reason. How would they have liked sitting around for AN HOUR, or having an hour less in their next port? I've been cruising all my life and when a ship or plane says they are leaving at a specific time.... believe them!
But WAIT… I’ve seen Black passengers who show up late for cruises get mocked when the ship leaves them….and everyone agrees with the ship leaving. (Just so you know, I agree with the ship leaving too)
So with that said, why do THESE PEOPLE feel like anyone should be sympathetic towards them?
It’s weird that they would even agree to do this news segment. I mean the NERVE.
Jeez, ya can’t make this crap up folks.
AND your point? Oh, right, you just needed to bring race into the otherwise mostly on-point comments. ☹️🤨
@@koda3967
Yup. You’re one of the smart ones, aren’t ya?
I didn’t invent “Race”. And I don’t benefit or CONTINUE to benefit from “Race”.
So I’m reserving the Right to bring it up whenever I want. I love how it triggers you. If most people were triggered about actual Racism, it would be a much greater planet to live on.
@@koda3967
Sooo, Ya done? Or is there anything else?
How disgustingly entitled.
They really believe that THEY didn't need to follow the rules.
NCL did nothing wrong here. If this lady wanted flexibility and no rules, she should have chartered a private vessel for herself.
Their responsibility to be there when the ship leaves. Not the cruise line's responsibility to hold a ship with thousands of other people because these people are not on time.
wow they told them they would be late re watch the video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@boyohio1980 so what, the ship has a schedule to keep and holding it for an hour for 8 passengers is NOT something they can do.
@@annrobinson9526did you miss the part about the coast guard making an effort to get them on board as the boat was STILL DOCKED?
@@boyohio1980 when the captain says he’s leaving, he’s leaving. Thinking that the ship should’ve waited for them is so entitled, thoughtless and conceited.
@@angelamontgomery9007I agree been on cruises they tell when to be back or they leave you behind. Not their responsibility to wait for them . The have schedules to follow
It's all in the document you sign when buying your tickets. "If u late, we no wait."
Cruisers taking private tours run a risk! I’m sorry this happened to them but it’s a big warning to other travelers!
“too rigidly.” Yeah, sure. Okay friend.…
They followed the rules too rigidly???
They give them plenty of time, the ships even stay a bit longer, the tour guides don’t get to tell the ship to wait that fact that they believed that is amazing, next time make it on time
"Rules for thee, but not for me."
There is a time limit for a reason lady and no they shouldn’t hold the whole ship because you irresponsibly booked an excursion which took too long and went past their time limit. Got a whole ship full of passengers but want them to wait for 4 people. Comical
If you’re late, you’re late. Be on time. Why should thousands of others suffer potential delays?
There are TH-cam channels devoted to showing people late for the cruise departure. Pretty well know that if you miss the deadline the ship is leaving.😢
Was on a cruise decades ago. They made it very clear to us the departure times are firm. As they should be for the benefit of the whole group.
Title should have been "6 idiots think massive cruise runs on their schedule". I've been on an NCL cruise and they warn you a lot about the dangers of using private touring companies. These companies pay a lot for their dock space and have a strict schedule they need to follow or they will lose a lot of money.
They have no one to blame but themselves! They knew the time they were supposed to be back on the ship. They were not there. Full stop.
Ya, passenger fault and not the cruise line.
I bet they won’t be late again. Everyone going on a cruise should learn from them.
If you're late, you get left behind. Period. And it's then your own responsibility to make arrangements to catch up with the ship at another port, or get your own self home. This is how it has always worked. This is exactly how it should be.
When my kid slow ate breakfast, I just leave without. I'm the captain!
Why is this newsworthy? And to have it presented in a way that NBC presented is ridiculous! I’m sorry but it seems that the vast majority of us are not buying into this! These late passengers are not the victims of this captain’s on time departure! Let’s call it for what it actually is…. Pure entitlement.
They sound very entitled. Everybody else on the ship is supposed to wait for them?? In what world?
Yeah, I'm sure they'd have the same level of compassion if they had to wait for somebody else. When you go on a cruise, you are warned about this. If you go on a private excursion, the ship does not have to wait for you. However, if the excursion is sponsored by the cruise line then they have make sure you board. Hospitality does not mean bending over backward for people who break the rules. These people are entitled twits.
Not only is this standard practice on cruise ships, but you show up an hour late for your restaurant reservation, your table is gone. That is the hospitality industry, we'd be out of business if we followed her expectations 😂
They were on a private tour not booked by the cruise line, how about taking accountability for yourself.
Yeah, the whole ship isn’t gonna wait for you, Karen!
If your late ,, your late… dont feel sorry for those entitled adults.
Been on many cruises. It’s your fault if you don’t make it back on time.
This NBC is as good as used toilet paper.
Yes, they are in the hospitality industry, and they are catering to the thousand plus passengers who got back to the ship on time expecting it to leave as scheduled.
