    Hey everyone welcome back to another video! Today I am super excited were taking a look at the very first class B+ motorhome that gives you All Wheel Drive and also have Eco Boost! This is the 2021 Thor Gemini 23tw which is an awesome class B+ RV. What I love about this motorhome is that technically its a class C but with it being on the ford transit chassis and with it not having that bunk over the cab the "Market" refers to it as a B+. Reguardless on what you call this, this is an amazing motorhome that gives you a bathroom and living area the size of a regular motorhome with the small compactness and drive-ability of a Class B.
    If you have any questions about this motorhome please contact me directly

    I like that it does not have the above cab bunk. This allowed the front to have an open look with a limited amount of storage in the wrap around area. I love the big window. The bed was nice to include the storage under and around the bed. The one piece mattress is a plus. It needs an extension for the kitchen. I agree that the table should have been theater seats and a small table or flip up trays. The TV is a mess and I don't have an idea for correcting the mistake. This is a nice small unit for one person or a couple. Shout out to Matt for the mention of the upgraded air conditioner. I live in Georgia and we get the high heat just like Florida.

    It's great to see Andrea back! I agree with another comment from Tony Smith. I would rather have the theater seating with a TV tray to eat on and see the TV in comfort. Love the cabinetry and like Andrea, I'd like to see it in more of the larger Thor motorhomes; heck any other motorhomes. And you're right Matt, much better than a class B. Look at the closet space, queen size bed, love the front upper window. Great job once again my favorite TH-cam RV reviewers.

The size of it would be perfect for inner city boondocking or living in fulltime while still having to go into the office. This is my first like. The AWD is my second like. And the skylight is my 3rd like..imagine having that open on a clear, moonlit night...amazing!! I do not have any dislikes at this time.
    Thank you Matt and Andrea!

    C rated tires usually mean higher load. 3 things I love: I'm amazed at how big that slide out is, on a Class B (+), Love the instant on hotwater heater for that small of a unit, love the large dining area (for a Class B that's huge). 3 things I'm not happy about are: take out that top open space above the fridge and put a bigger fridge, not sure about those booster seats for the front seats, the bed is what it is, it's pretty necessary for something so small, but still not sure about it. Once you said it had a 15,000 BTU AC, I understood why it had a 4K generator. For it's size, it's about the most perfect B (+) I've ever seen.

    I saw this RV for the first time while me and wifey were traveling on 301 to Annapolis Md. I wanted to get as close as I could to check it out. I finally caught up with him on the passenger side at a red light. We had just enough time to go back and forth with each other and he was very informative in that short period of time. My wife, being the observant person she is, immediately notice the side door and she said it look too narrow! But she saw Matt go through it on this video today, and she was like: Oh ok! I'll make it! (LOL). But this one's definitely on the list!

  • @thatjlyn
    @thatjlyn 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Super helpful that you showed what it looked like when the slide out was in. It would be even more helpful to see the ability to sleep with it in. Sometimes when you have to stop and nap in a parking lot you can't extend the slide out. So the sleep ability of the dining space and the space above the driving area is important to some.

    Likes:
    1) No bunk over the cab for exactly the reasons Matt said. I'm someone who wants that small motor home and have no need for the bunk, so I prefer the sleek look, less overhang, and hopefully lower price from not building a bunk to hold 500+ lbs.
    2) Front window/windshield/skylight. I love the amount of light coming in.
    3) AWD. I'd rather a 4x4 with more clearance and a low gear or something for low speeds during low traction dirt/mud/snow situations, but as a Subaru owner for over 20 years, I love my AWD.
    Dislikes:
    1) TV location. As Andrea said, maybe a swing arm would help, or maybe a sofa with removable table instead of the dinette, but as is, it doesn't work for me.
    2) The bedroom. I'm a fan of this size motor home, so I get having to use space the best way possible, but something about it felt like an afterthought, like having to fold the bed to get to the storage in the back to get dressed or whatever. Not a fan.
    3) No "retail price" at the BING, and the Fleetwood Fortis thing popping up at @13:47. I get the feeling this video may come down and get re-posted, so I'm saving my list this time! 😋
    Bonus) It's not the 23TE. I know, that's not fair, but a Murphy Bed is perfect for me, and I really want to see that one.

      @@miketalley505 It's got a 31 gallon fresh water tank. That will see you through a weekend if you sponge bath. And many off griders carry extra drinking water. The serious ones carry extra refillable water tanks AND off grid grey water transport systems, so they call fill and empty their tanks without moving their rigs. But this rig is a nice weekend rig, so when output tanks get full, the weekend is usually done, just take it to the dump station.

    • @LisaMarli

      You can run a gas fridge for weeks on half a tank of propane. (While traveling run it on 120v from your inverter, it won't kill your battery if you forget to switch it to gas when you stop.) The compressor driven fridges OTOh will need steady sunlight or running a generator or your engine every few days.

  • @GregSpeck

    After owning it for a week I like the ride, kitchen, and bath. Accessing the bed on left side requires a climb on the mattress. Manual leaves a bit to the imagination. Avowed the frigo is a storage compartment with 2 HDMI cables for hooking up whatever to the two TVs. Valves for dumping black and gray are a long reach. Lots of outside storage. So far no problems. We are enjoying it.

Also the fact it has solar on the roof It still has the same flaw that all class B's have no storage . would have liked to have seen more of the small piece over the cab The better gas mileage and the fact that it is a Ford make cost of ownership less. * The bathroom is decent for the size of the vehicle.
    Our dislikes:
    * We do not like that there is no way to block off the cockpit windows when dining or sleeping. Peeping toms are NEVER a good thing. Blinds or a curtain to close off that area would be better.
    * We don’t like the exposed wiring in one of the outside storage compartments (driver’s side). Those could be easily stretched and/or damaged and should be enclosed in some manner.
    * With the minimal storage in the galley area, a cutting board sink cover would be much better. It’s one less kitchen item to pack and store.

    Really like this motorhome. We are in the market for a class C Super but always look at all the reviews.
    Likes: 1, the floor layout, 2, the ford Eco boost and AWD, 3, the window over the cab.
    Dislikes: 1, the area above the cab doesn't have much practicality, could have made some better storage area. 2, the plastic toilet seat, for the towing capacity a porcelain bowl could have been fine. 3, the propane hook up at the passenger side rear looks prime for tearing it off when backing into a spot. Overall it is a really nice looking RV.

    I love the slide that comes out without a person having to hold the button and that it will go in with the wind sensor. I also like the seats that swivel, the modern cabinets, and the sun roof. I do not like that the bed has to have the slide out in order to use it- not always convenient to put slide out when you're traveling.

    • @GregSpeck
      @GregSpeck 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      you still have to hold the button down when moving the slide. It is a safety feature.. Not the end of the world. Agree about the need to slide to use bed, pain in the rear. But so far we are surviging. I do like the lighting, frig with auto settjngs for. power and the Ford power plant.
