Yea he leaving but the Mets want vlad jr and he’s gonna get a $500-$600 mil deal and will the Mets pay him and j think he’s not that great at 1st base, slow and think he’s lil to heavy to move good
Pivot means the Mets had a plan and were trying to execute it. The Mets have signed absolutely no one outside of Soto to try and make this team better. Right now they are a 75 win team at best.
I agree that the roster construction is still lacking. I see them more as an 85-win team, but I buy the upside of the young guys. But that is assuming we get one of Vlad/Pete/Bregman. Without that, not sure if Soto can carry the lineup as is.
@ Pivot would meant the Mets are abandoning their original strategy or course of action and switching to a backup plan, essentially changing direction to a different approach when the initial plan is not working as expected; it's a way to adapt and adjust to new circumstances by implementing a previously prepared alternative strategy. Aside from Soto, they clearly don’t have a plan so to me, they aren’t pivoting. When you sign a player for 3/4 of a billion dollars, one would assume that they woudk build the lineup around him. Other than Jose Siri who is a stiff, they have not signed any position players of note. Unlike you, I will not get into personal attacks but I will say that if you think the Mets have made “significant” signing other than Soto, you clearly don’t know baseball.
@@Miadolph427 i dont know baseball too well. I'm a professional foosball athlete ! Also, i apologize for the personal attack, the book comment was uncalled for. I'm just having a bad day, unfortunately my pet snail just passed away and I'm just looking to make trouble in the youtube comment section. Actually, I take everything back lol
@@MetropoliFins Considering his best accomplishments were in a Met's uniform it is stupid for him to continue his legacy in an Angel's Uniform. He is a stupid, stupid man who doesn't see the Met's are on a verge of greatness so good riddance to this big, goofy, dumbass!
Soto was the Mets splash, but it may have cost them Alonso
It certainly looks like they had an absolute budget cap on Alonso once Soto was signed.

Well said brother.
I hope Pete has a change of heart, but…

Pete got bad advise but ultimately his decision. Not Scott boras. Hopefully both sides just give a little. He should be a met
That is basically my take. Definitely want him back. It is best for both sides.
Mets want to get Vlad Jr lets be honest the Mets team last team didn't look not a playoff team, and they were nearly in the WS.
That is true.
I still feel like Pete was the original goal, but you have to pivot.
Last year’s team surprised for sure.
Pete Alonso is coming to the Red Sox
Hearing a lot of: Angels, Blue Jays, Giants
Gut says Angels so he can stay in a large market.

The giants are probably a larger market than the angels. Idk if the Red Sox is a move for the Red Sox unless they trade Tristan casas
Edit: If Pete Alonso is a move*
