    your willingness to put this together is apparent
    along with your workmanship and attention to detail
    the trailer looks very overbuilt and hence much heavier than necessary
    good job, well explained

      @liljay51884  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it was very overbuilt it has been now completely rebuilt a total overhaul with about a 50% reduction in weight and 25% reduction in all the unnecessary things

      what I've found that is cheap/light and easy to work with is EMT tubing.
      I rounded up a set of 4 benders from Craigs List $15 or so each.
      With some practice to allow for the stretching on the corners
      the projects turn out Great
      I'll bet the kids Always want to go for bike rides!

    • @liljay51884
      @liljay51884  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It started out small and then it just grew from there this is the 3rd "prototype" trailer and 4th bike pulling it I have done alot of redesigning to it to make it stronger and do more so the money is just the continuous upgrades that I have added to it its alot of wasted money I agree from broken parts or things that got tossed away because they didn't fit in with the ever growing of the trailer but the kids love it so that why I keep going

      liljay51884 Do you think you could maybe do like wood work tutorials on how you put together because I'd love to do something like this but I'm 17 and only know the basics of wood work Maybe you could even just show how to make a basic hitch, I have a hybird bicycle by the way. Many thanks.

    • @liljay51884
      @liljay51884  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Cillian I could do a tutorial on how I built the flatbed of the trailer itself that's actually pretty easy the hitch is actually just two pieces of wood through together and I shaved down just enough wood for a receiver hitch to slide over them and then just bolted it on I have a really busy week planned but maybe this weekend I'll try and get a video tutorial and walk you through exactly how I built each part of the trailer itself

    Ik im late asf but I think it would be best to put ur first aid kit near the storage bin in the front it would be drastic if a real emergency was to take place while ur riding to run to the back of ur trailer then to the front of ur trailer hop on it and fix the issue u would save at least 10+ secs and be able to actually diagnose the problem with the kit near you just some advice

    I really like the idea of a powered trailer that pushes the bike. But this is powered on bike correct.So it’s an electric bicycle vehicle basically with lots of amenities. Bells and whistles. And it was designed for that purpose? To power the bike and trailer weight? As well as carry your children along with ease? I find it and the process, magnificent.

I was wondering where you were ordering your new wheels,I've been trying to find sturdier wheels for my trailers with no luck. AWWWH... Looks like a poser is upset because his song cover videos haven't made him youtube famous,so he spends his free time trolling youtube. :'( Bless his heart. :'( I really dislike those know-it-all trolls,who just got lucky when they inherited opposable thumbs. Thanks. I'm actually building a small trailer to pull behind my bike,and I'm glad I found your video because I want to include a solar system (or maybe just add a sprocket to one of my trailer rims to charge my batteries as it's being pulled) for my power tools so it gave me a few ideas. Did you buy your trike,or did you buy the axle adapter and put it on an existing bike? I had a 20" Schwinn (when I was BMXing) that had the same frame design. I found some decently priced trikes online,but I think I'm going go with one of the 4 wheeled Rhode's bikes, or build one (because they are way over priced,in my opinion). I built an Asian cargo trike (2 wheels on the front) a few years ago but only after I built it did I realize that it wasn't what I needed.

    Cooling fans need to draw the heat OUT, you cant just blow in with no exit point, you need to draw cool in and blow the hot OUT! oh and those heat sinks need air to pass over them to work properly, so clearance all around them Is required, A hole in the front of the box, 3-4" circle, and a hole at the rear would do better with airflow through the box, great job other wise,

    First, there is nothing wrong with spokes but you have found out what us serious haulers have found out. I made a serious grocery hauler after breaking standard spokes and a heavy duty cargo rack that I had a custom cooler side mounted to. So after walking that thing home for miles I bought a heavier duty wheel to avoid it ever happening again. BTW I didn't see what size wheels are on the rear of the trike. 26ers are the strongest. I bought 26ers with 11 gauge spokes from bikeman4u.com which doesn't even exist anymore. Anyway, thicker spokes is the solution.
    I'm looking for some clues as to how to build a trike as I was given a free frame by a bike shop owner but I'm not sure what I need to buy to make it work. It's a nice frame, it has a diamond steel plate for a rear bottom.
    I'm also looking to build a trailer for my Ebike. I have customized it by using T bolts to bolt on a rear cooler because it's wider than normal sized cargo racks so neither they nor reg dual baskets would fit. Two folding Wald 582 baskets allow me to carry 30-45 items on a regular basis. I have no car. I'm all about the bike culture and have not burned a gallon of gas in almost 20 years.

    Nice suspenison setup on the trailer, I want to fix my homemade ttailer angle when I tow it with my fatbike. It leans too far back and I want it to be level. What setup should I go with? Its built off a normal Walmart frame and the rest was stripped off and custom built.

    • @liljay51884
      @liljay51884  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The trailer axel is just a steel rod welded into a piece of angle iron and then two pieces of angle iron are welded into that at an angle and bolted into the side of the wood I have angle iron welded to the top of the springs as well as the Springs welded to the axle and then there are screws that hold the top metal plates to the wood

    I'm building a micro camper that I pull behind my mountain bike you got any input on electronics that I should use I would like to have a TV fan stereo and LED lighting how should I be able to control everything and power everything should I go solar or let me know what you think

    • @liljay51884
      @liljay51884  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It all comes down to the efficiency of the items that you are running batteries get heavy and unless you're talking about running a TV that will run 12 volts that means you're going to have to run an inverter inverters aren't that efficient unless you spend big money on them but they do sell some pretty large TVs that are designed for vehicles I would definitely run some solar because batteries are heavy and if you're just pulling this with a mountain bike most standard bicycle hitches can't handle that kind of weight wiring is pretty easy I try to run most of it along the underside chassis that way if you ever run into any issues you have much easier access to it and if you ever want ad something in the future it's easier to tap in wires always leave yourself extra other than that most of what I build just comes from my imagination I go through a lot of trial and error so plan is best you can draw blueprints it will make it a lot easier

    Hey I have just a stock bike trailer/stoller and I'm looking to put a real axle on it without breaking the bank as it gets speed wobble, wondering if you can point me in the right direction as you have a pretty nice setup

    • @liljay51884
      @liljay51884  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's kind of a tough one I've never really had to deal with speed wobble because I'm usually not about speed I'm about power because I'm moving more weight they usually you can pick up a solid steel rod from your local hardware store for not too much

    • @TheEliteShatter
      @TheEliteShatter ปีที่แล้ว

      @@liljay51884 basically need a solid axle, these wheel attachments just go to the frame basically giving it less rigidity

    • @liljay51884
      @liljay51884  ปีที่แล้ว
