The Maxpedition MGEO with the tanto point is my EDC fixed blade, great knife! Carry it weak side cross draw horizontal. I put a tek lock on it instead of the loop it comes with. The thin and light aspects of the knife work well for this.
correct me if im wrong .. that looks like the fishbelly model ... they have a industrial chrome coating on the d2 . yup thin handle but i wrapped a 1'' peace of leather on the but end of mine ,much better ..
Mad Dog had some major issues with the quality of the blades from what I read and that's why you don't hear much about that company anymore. Kevin McClung used to come into my Kung-fu studio back in the early 90's and sell some of his blades. He did have this all polymer or some kind of poxy knife that was cool because it wasn't steel. Meaning it wouldn't set off metal detectors.

Discount?? I never side I had a special discount. I just know what I paid for it and when I made the video not only the maxperdition website but blade HQ and Amazon all have them on sale and cheaper than they originally were.

I've had Maxpedition knives in the past & they were all decent knives. Their 440C was just as good as Buck's 420HC.
Just ordered the small drop point from Amazon. Only one left now. Looks like it would make a good camp knife.

I read that Mad Dog knives had alot of quality issues and his blades weren't what was advertised. So now you can get Maxpedition knives again.
