Personally I think there's a reason it's so difficult to know Jesus' actual birth date. We aren't told to celebrate it. We are to celebrate His death and resurrection.

We celebrate as He is born in our hearts when we believe. Not the actual day but the event and to remind us that He became man for our sake.

Its not difficult. We KNOW when John the Baptists father served his term of service as the preist in the temple. We know when Mary visited Elizabeth and how far along she was in her pregnancy. Do the math its not difficult. He would have been born in late august to mid September. Most definately NOT in December

It is important to note the context of the words "in the sixth month" and how it connects with the previous statement. The conception of John the Baptist had just been told, and then we read, "And in the sixth month." This seems to indicate that it was the sixth month of Elizabeth's pregnancy. The courses of the priests were week long assignments twice a year, and then during the three week long feasts, everyone would serve. That would put Zechariah's first assignment just before the Feast of Shuvot (Pentecost), so he served two consecutive weeks at that point. A short time after his return home, John was conceived, and so "in the 6th month" would be during the time of our December. That would put Christ's birth in Sept/Oct, most probably coinciding with the Feast of Sukkot (Tabernacles). This feast focuses on when the Lord DWELT with His people in the wilderness, just as it is said, "the Word became flesh and DWELT among us." Remember the song, "Oh Come, Oh Come, Immanuel" (God with us).

The northern winter solstice is either on the 21st or 22nd December - Christmas Day is three days later !
On the Dead Sea Scroll's Biblical calendar, the Day of Atonement on our 28th September, is the most solemn, most holy day of the Biblical calendar - undoubtedly the day on which Jesus Christ, Yahshua our Messiah, was born !
Despite His birth, Joseph and Mary would have kept the Day of Atonement accordingly, and may even have wondered about the importance of the circumstances. Little did they all suspect then as they looked down on the manger, that that Child of God - the picture of innocence, pure as the driven snow, white as wool - would thirty three years later afflict their souls with His brutal, bloody Passover crucifixion:
Born to die for our crimson sins !
Is that why this is such a Solemn Day ?
We can eat but we cannot cook/work on the weekly Sabbath.
Why is the Day of Atonement a High Day Sabbath but is also without any cooking like the weekly Sabbath ?
It is because we have to fast on this day and so afflict our souls (see Leviticus 23:23-32).
      Why ?
The second half of the year almost mirrors the first half of the year.
It is interesting to note that the 28th September Day of Atonement on the tenth day of the seventh Biblical month before the Feast of Tabernacles, corresponds to the same day that the Passover lamb is separated on the 30th March and the tenth day of the first Biblical month before the Feast of Unleavened Bread !
That is why we must afflict our souls by fasting on the Day of Atonement:
It is now actually in recognition of the atoning sacrifice that Christ determined to give us when “six days before the Passover” He arrived in Bethany on the 9th Abib (see John 12:1-15). There “where Lazarus was” Christ had supper after sunset starting the 10th Abib.
On a lowly donkey the next day, still the 10th Abib, thousands with palm fronds hailed Christ as “Hosanna” of Israel [Greek hoshia-na, of Hebrew nâ‛ yâsha‛, naw yaw-shah′ = Oh save ( savior )].
“Yahshua” finally entered Jerusalem, walked into the Temple and looked all around, before leaving at sunset (“eventide/even” between two successive days).
i.e. Hailed by thousands at Jerusalem, the Passover Sacrificial Lamb had gladly separated and presented Himself in the Temple:
on the 10th day of Abib ! (see Mark 11:1-11, Exodus 12:3-11)
Christ’s body was hurriedly laid in the tomb at eventide/even/sunset - four days later !
It is also interesting to note that the 50 year Jubilee is announced on the Day of Atonement on the tenth day of the seventh month before the Feast of Tabernacles (see Leviticus 25:9), corresponding to the same day that the Passover lamb is separated on the tenth day of the first month before the Feast of Unleavened Bread !
Abstaining from work and food on the Day of Atonement is the least we can do in appreciation of Christ's atoning sacrifice for us !
Every little pang of hunger should remind us of the horrendous ordeal Christ went through for us.
In fact if we don't show this appreciation for Christ's sacrifice, His Father says:
“For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people.
And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people.” (Leviticus 23:29-30)
This connection between the Day of Atonement and the Passover was recognised at the time of Christ. They had a “custom” of releasing a prisoner at the Passover, in parallel with the instructions of the Day of Atonement in Leviticus 16: to choose two goats for an atoning sin offering.
One was sacrificed and the other was chased into the wilderness:
      Pilate saith unto him,
      What is truth?
And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them,
I find in him no fault at all.
      ( Pilate spoke the truth ! )
But ye have a custom, that I should release unto you one at the passover:
will ye therefore that I release unto you
      the King of the Jews?
      (John 18: 37-39)
Only by taking all the relevant Biblical quotes, into one compatible rationalisation, can we get to the truth !
Work Christ's gestation BACKWARDS from the Day of Atonement birth on the 28th September, and you get to the 6th January Epiphany conception; and 12 days further back you get to December 25th !
Working another 12 days FORWARDS from the Day of Atonement birth, you get to the Feast of Tabernacle's Last Great Day !
Strange that Christmas Day is 12 days BEFORE the Epiphany conception 265 day gestation and birth on the Day of Atonement, and then 12 days AFTER that is the Last Great Day - just like the "four and twenty elders" around the Throne of God in Revelations !
Are these the "Twelve Days of Christmas"🎶 around Christ in the womb ?
25th December was also never a part of the Roman festival of Saturnalia.
      2+6+5=13
John the Baptist's gestation was also 265 days and he was born on the 10th Abib - the same day the Lamb of God came down the Mount of Olives on a donkey proclaimed in Greek as "Oh Saviour" ("Hosannah"), with the way being prepared for him with palm fronds - on the birthday of John the Baptist who prepared the way for Him, and the same day the Passover lamb is selected.
i.e the 25th of December started Mary's follicular phase and Christ was conceived on the 13th day Epiphany on the 6th of January and then born on the Day of Atonement on the 28th September !
      12 disciples + Christ = 13
Don't let pagans steal and demonise our Christmas Biblical "day of gladness" without an in depth investigation first. I also made that same mistake on this journey.
Synchronizing the Dead Sea Scroll's and our Gregorian calendar with the Vernal Equinox as the last day of the Biblical calendar year, and assuming Christ was born on the Day of Atonement, his conception could quite easily have been on the 6th of January Epiphany - inclusively 13 days from December 25th, and the "Last Great Day" is the 13th day inclusively from the Day of Atonement.
Conversely, John the Baptist's gestation could have also been 265 days, with a conception on 19th July and his birth on the 30th March.
Be aware of the miraculous draft of 153 fish being the number in the infinite ratio of the square root of 3, the other number being 265.
      i.e. √3 = 265:153
The fish symbol of early Christians is actually this "bladder of the fish" √3 ratio of the Vesica Piscis - also evident in the pointed arch of Gothic church and cathedral architecture.
There is no doubt that the "Trinity" is alluded to in many scriptures in the Bible, and the square root of three is roughly 1.7 to an infinite number of decimal places - which every new supercomputer is unable to conclusively compute.
The sum of the digits 1 to 17 = 153
The numbers 153 and 17 feature in the Bible's Noah's Ark/flood calindrical computation.
So, looking at it like this, there is enough information confirming this.
1 Chronicles 29 vs 1..Then King David said to the entire assembly, “My son Solomon, whom alone God has chosen, is still young and inexperienced and the work is great; for the temple is not for man, but for the LORD God. Now with all my ability I have provided for the house of my God the gold for the things of gold, and the silver for the things of silver, and the bronze for the things of bronze, the iron for the things of iron, and wood for the things of wood, onyx stones and inlaid stones, stones of antimony and stones of various colors, and all kinds of precious stones and alabaster in abundance. Moreover, in my delight in the house of my God, the treasure I have of gold and silver, I give to the house of my God, over and above all that I have already provided for the holy temple, namely, 03 000 talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and 07 000 talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the buildings; of gold for the things of gold and of silver for the things of silver, that is, for all the work done by the craftsmen. Who then is willing to consecrate himself this day to the LORD?” Then the rulers of the fathers’ households, and the princes of the tribes of Israel, and the commanders of thousands and of hundreds, with the overseers over the king’s work, offered willingly; and for the service for the house of God they gave 05 000 talents and 10 000 darics of gold, and 10 000 talents of silver, and 18 000 talents of brass, and 100 000 talents of iron. Whoever possessed precious stones gave them to the treasury of the house of the LORD, in care of Jehiel the Gershonite. Then the people rejoiced because they had offered so willingly, for they made their offering to the LORD with a whole heart, and King David also rejoiced greatly...
The 153 000 as above is symbolic in the miraculous draft of 153 fish in John, as the New Living Temple as opposed to the old temple of Solomon...the Disciples will now be fishers of men by preaching the Gospel.

Your reasoning is sound on the birth of Messiah during the fall feasts, in conjunction with the course of Abiyah serving at Shavuot…Revelation in a vision to John ch12 gives us the picture of the stars ( mazzeroth- zodiac, not the pagan one) and the constellations of ch 12 at the birth of the king of Israel is when a woman ( Virgo) appears with the sun behind her and the moon at her feet with 12 stars as a crown ( constellation Leo-9 stars with mercury Venus and mars) this constellation appears in the middle Eastern sky along the ecliptic in the fall (. 7th month on Abbas calendar) from trumpets to tabernacles the king of Israel ( constellation Leo) came and tabernacled with us. The winter solstice is the time of the abomination of desolation! A whole other issue!

He started His ministry at 30, and it lasted 3.5 years. That six months back from Mar/Apr puts us right at Sep/Oct. All and all, His birth could not have occurred in the Spring, as some think it might.

Not that I ascribe to horoscopes but Jesus was born under the sign of Virgo (virgin) which would be in my oppinion no coincidence. He was born sometime in the last two weeks of September. And I'll throw this in for free...the Lord also said that He doesn't like how the world celebrates Christmas.

      Dear@@fidh8 , Hello !
      Well I wouldn't want to, but I do not like cold weather;
Even the relatively mild winters of South Carolina get to me sometimes.
But there are some considerations that you may not be aware of.
So, ok, are you proposing that the shepherds leave their sheep in the fields at
night with no protection from predators, when prey for predators to eat
      is more scarce ?
If I wanted to keep a flock of sheep I would need to be out there tending
the sheep at night in the middle of winter to reduce shrinkage of my flock
It is one of the primary duties of the shepherds in those days to protect
      the sheep year round.
In those days Bethlehem was the place where many sheep were raised for Temple
sacrifices, so there were lot and lots of sheep there -- year round.
They didn't have big barns to put them in in the winter.
Do you know why shepherds never make their sheep wear sweaters ?
Sheep don't really need barns, so why build barns to put them in
Sheep do need shepherds to protect them
But then, just what do you think winter was like in Bethlehem ?
The average temperature in Bethlehem averages around
45 to 55 degrees at night and 55 to 60 in the day time
during the months of December and January
Now, even I could tolerate that ! What's so insane about camping
      in that weather ???
You must have the mistaken perception that winter in Bethlehem was
harsh - Not so ! It generally does not really get that cold. but even
if it were to snow, sheep can easily handle that and humans can also.
      Be Well, DZ

The problem with trying to work out the date of Jesus' birth based on when Zechariah was on duty in the temple is this. There were 24 priestly divisions, and the division of Abijah, to which Zechariah belonged, was eighth on the rota. Each division was on duty for one week twice a year, but that totals only 48 weeks. On the Jewish calendar, seven years out of every 19 are leap years, with the last month, Adar, being repeated (Adar Aleph, Adar Bet), to keep in synch with the seasons, so what happened to the rota in a leap year? Also, as noted in the video, ALL the priests were on duty during the three major festivals, so it really is not possible to know exactly when Zechariah saw the angel, it can only ever be speculative.
Whilst I don't rule out the possibility of Jesus being born at the time of the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot), I think it far more likely he was born in the spring, at the same time and in the same place as the Passover lambs. The fields around Bethlehem were set aside for breeding animals for temple sacrifices, in particular, the Passover lambs. Males born one spring would be sacrificed the following year. Luke gives us a huge clue when he tells us the 'shepherds were keeping watch over their flocks BY NIGHT'. Usually, most shepherds would be sleeping at night, with just one or two keeping a look-out for thieves or predators, presumably on a rota basis. However, at lambing time, they would ALL be keeping a very careful watch over ewes going into labour, so ensure the lambs were delivered safely, and came to no harm.
The early spring festivals, Passover, Unleavened Bread and First Fruits, were fulfilled by Yeshua at his first advent, by his sinless life, death and resurrection. The late spring festival, Shavuot (Pentecost) was fulfilled by the out-pouring of the Holy Spirit. The autumn festivals foreshadow Messiah's second advent and subsequent events, and we still await their fulfilment, so it's logical to think Jesus' birth, his first advent, was in the spring. One suggestion is that he was born on 1st Nisan, the first month of the Jewish ritual year (our March or April), thus indicating the start of the new era. However, since we are not told the exact date, it clearly doesn't matter. The important thing is to thank him for coming; for what he did whilst here, and for the fact that he has promised to return.

Those who lived the early Catholic experience wrote down and recorded events. Pope Telephonius set December the 25th as the birthday of Jesus around 125Ad and celebrated the first recorded MIDNIGHT MASS that included the GLORIA. He was put to death on the 11th day of Christmas on January 5th in 135AD. Please note that the Catholic Church was persecuted for 400 years by both the Jews and the Pagans. Justin the Maryter recorded in an Appolgy the structure of the mass in 153AD. Early writers knew personally Apostle John and his liturgy of the mass. Acts states that the Christians celebrated daily mass. They all held to the TRUE PRESENCE OF THE EUCHARIST. Paul wrote the oldest recorded Eucharistic formula. Jesus was born on the 25th of December, WHY because the early Catholic Christians said so just as they proclaimed the resurrection!

@@ronaldwinker2197 So you believe Jesus was born on 25th December 'because the early Catholic Christians said so just as they proclaimed the resurrection!' Sorry, but that is illogical. We know when Jesus died and rose again, because it is clearly stated in Scripture that he died at Passover and rose on First Fruits. The date of his birth is NOT clearly stated. In any case, who were 'the early Catholic Christians'? The earliest 'Christians' were not 'Catholic', they were Jewish Messianic believers, who were later joined by converted Gentiles.
I think you mean Pope Telesphorus, (for a moment, I thought Telephonius was a joke!), but even if this man did claim, in A.D. 125, that Messiah was born on 25th December, it proves nothing. As stated in the video, that date was chosen because the church was trying to 'Christianize' pagan festivals, but that was much later, when Christianity was made the official religion of the Roman Empire.
Even if Telesphorus did celebrate 'the first recorded Midnight Mass', it would have borne little if any resemblance to the elaborate ritual which the Catholic Mass became. The book of Acts does NOT state 'that the Christians celebrated daily mass', it says, "They broke bread in their homes, and ate together with glad and sincere hearts." (Acts 2:46) In other words, whenever they shared a simple meal together - which would always include bread and wine - they remembered and gave thanks for Jesus' sacrificial death. There was no ritual; no liturgy; no formality, and certainly no ornately-robed clergy or 'sacred' vessels!
There is no evidence whatsoever that the Apostle John wrote a 'liturgy of the mass', nor did Paul write 'the oldest Eucharistic formula' as a pattern to be rigidly followed. In 1 Corinthians 11:23-26, he simply recounted what had happened at the Last Supper. And if by 'they held to the true presence of the Eucharist' you mean transubstantiation', then sorry, but there was no such doctrine until centuries later. While the idea may have been around before, it was only at the Council of Trent, in 1551, that transubstantiation was officially recognised as an R.C. doctrine.
The important question is not: On what day of the year was Jesus born?, but have you, personally, been born again of the Holy Spirit, and become a child of God through repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus, the Messiah?

Interesting. But we who keep the Feasts know Yeshua was born in the 7th month of Tishri on the 15th day. Tishri was in the fall. ( The Word was made flesh and dwelt/TABERNACLED with men.)
His birth was announced by the Feast of Trumpets on Tishri 1. Trumpets and Tabernacles have several fulfillments. Trumpets was when Israel was given the Torah at Sinai. It also announced the birth of Messiah. It will announce the resurrection at the 7th and last trumpet in Revelation 11:15 as proclaimed in Rev 10:7.
Tabernacles was Yeshua's birth as He became flesh and Tabernacled with men. Rev 21 is the final fulfillment when the Father and Son Tabernacle with His redeemed for ever.

There are several things wrong with this. It says that Zacharias of the priestly order of Abijah served in the eight month. That is incorrect. The service times of the priests are outlined in I Chronicles 24 and it says that Abijah would serve in the eighth lot or course, not the eighth month. The priests probably served a week and later in the year another week. There are 24 lots mentioned so they could not have been months. This means that Zacharias probably served in the Jewish month of late Iyyar or early Sivan which is late May / early June by our modern calendar.
Then, in Luke 1:26, it says the angel announced Mary's pregnancy in the sixth month. Yes, but not the sixth month of the year but the sixth month of Elisabeth's (Zacharias' wife) pregnancy. It is referencing verse 24 which says "Elisabeth conceived, and hid herself five months..."
It gets complicated but if you take all the evidence of this plus the alignment of the stars to match Revelation 12 (a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars) and the time when shepherds would be in the fields outside Bethlehem (not the wilderness desert where they would normally be grazed) you get what others have said here - September 11, 3 BC.
As others have mentioned, th exact date is not that important. What is important is that Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for sins that we deserved and rose victorious over sin and death. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. Acts 16:31 For by grace are you saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God not of works, so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

There is only one time of year where the shepherds are known to be tending their flocks on an absolute regular basis. And that is in the March or April of what we now observe so it would have been in the early part of the year for his birth. On top of that the ostensible reason they were headed to Bethlehem was precisely because of a tax season. In the Roman construct, taxing is done in mid-april, just like the United States does today. Bethlehem is also the place that is known for producing perfect Lambs for sacrifice at the temple. When you put all of this stuff together, and you also look at the movements of what people who regularly watch the Stars would be seeing in the sky, you will find that in 7 BC there was a triple conjunction in one year of Jupiter and saturn, the King star and the God star. I'm particularly aware of this because it also happened I believe in 1988, the only other time in recorded history that there was a triple conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn in one year. 3 years after that first triple conjunction, in 4bc. During a new moon in april, I believe it was April 17th. But I may have that date off by a few days. During the new moon, in the middle of the night, the moon would have moved far enough to reveal Jupiter in the constellation of Aries which at that time was considered to be the constellation that Israel was under. Therefore, the brightest star in the sky. Jupiter, the king star, suddenly appeared in Israel.

So shepherds would not be watching their sheep during the winter when predators were searching for food that was more scarce during the winter ? In the winter the shepherds may have had their sheep in pens. The predators like to have the prey in an enclosed area where it is difficult for the sheep to escape. Shepherds would be out in the fields watching and sleeping near the pens of sheep to watch over them to protect them from the predators. Remember they didn't have large barns to bring the sheep in.

Let us analyze and study History... Christ Jesus was born in Bethlehem between the 6th to 4th year BCE during the reign of King Herod under the Roman Emperor Augustus Caesar...
During that time the Ancient Roman Calender had only 10 months... The 1st month up to the 6th month was represented by the Roman gods and goddesses' Root Names while the 7th month came from the Roman Root word SEPTA, which became SEPTEMBER, then the 8th month came from the Roman Root word OCTO, which became OCTOBER, then the 9th month came from the Roman Root word NOVI, which became NOVEMBER and finally the 10th month came from the Roman Root word DECI, which became DECEMBER.
Historians believe that Christ Jesus was born during the "10th month" (Fall Season) which at that time was called in the Ancient Roman Calendar, DECEMBER... When the Roman Emperor Augustus Caesar died in the 14th year, 1st Cent. A.D. when Christ Jesus was in His Teenage years, Emperor Tiberius succeeded the throne and added 2 more months in recognition of Julius Caesar for the 7th month called JULY, and Augustus Caesar for the 8th month called AUGUST, thus, the month of September became the 9th, October became the10th, November became the 11th and December was no longer the original 10th month but became the 12th month in which there were already SNOW in Bethlehem (Winter Season)...
When Christ was born in Bethlehem, His registered BIRTH was the 10th month (December), which was the written Roman Census at that time for Blessed Mary and St. Joseph. When Emperor Tiberius reigned in the 14th year, 1st Cent. A.D., the Roman Calendar became 12 months adding the months of July and August, thus, all born on the 10th month including Christ Jesus became the 12th month (still called December) but in Winter Season in Israel...
The Exact Birth Day of Jesus on the "10th month" (December) was lost... the Pagan Roman Empire celebrated the SUN GOD FESTIVAL every the 25th day of December (10th Month), and Christ Jesus was also born on the 10th month in Bethlehem presently December today, and since the Pagan Roman Empire accepted the Faith of Christianity in 325 A.D.... the Roman Catholic Church replaced the Pagan SUN GOD FESTIVAL into the "Holy Mass (Celebration) of Christ Jesus" commonly called today CHRISTMAS... The First Christmas in the Christian Roman Empire (United East and West Roman Empire) was celebrated on December 25, 325 A.D....
What better way to STOP the Pagan Festival was to adopt the "Birth of Christ Jesus" on the 10th Month which was presently December (the 12th month)... Analogy, if a person cheated on you, what better way to replace that person is to find another better person than the previous one, and not to have a pet animal as a replacement... the same analogy.
Another Analogy... if your Birthday falls on LEAF YEAR (February 29) does this mean you won't have your birthday each year and your age will only increase every 4 years?... or perhaps your Birthday is moving on March 1st every non-leaf year?... NOPE... your birthday will still remain on FEBRUARY but move 1 day backward, on the 28th... the same analogy...
Therefore, Christ Jesus was born in Bethlehem on the 10th month, the Fall Season of the Original December... and not the 12th month, the Winter Season of the New December.
Facts and Truth of the Matters, Historians, and Archeological Attested...

Wow! How on earth did you blow that one?
Luke 1:26 says in the sixth month Gabriel was sent to Mary in Nazareth. Agreed! But how do you completely ignore Luke 1:36 of the continuing conversation between Gabriel and Mary where it is disclosed that Mary's cousin Elizabeth is "also in her sixth month of pregnancy?" This means she would have gotten pregnant in the first month of the Hebrew months of counting which is Abib, as per Exodus 12:1-2.
You some how miss reporting the fact that Mary made HASTE immediately after talking to Gabriel to the hill country to her cousins house and upon entering Zachariah's house, that at her greeting to Elizabeth she was "overshadowed" by the Holy Spirit. Luke 1:30-41.
Proof of this is by Mary's exclamation in verse 48, "from this time on, all nations shall call me blessed!" Everything Gabriel told her just happened! Right in front of your eyes.
So, Mary arrived at Zachariah's house in the sixth month, (Aug-Sept) stayed three months until after the birth of John in the nineth month (Nov-Dec) at which time she was now three months pregnant herself, and headed back home to explain to Joseph this miracle. Luke 1:56-57
From John's birth in the nineth month of counting as per Exodus 12:1-2, (Nov-Dec) we add six more months and end up in the third month of counting. (May-Jun) This period of time coincides with Shepherds in the fields at night watching over the last month of their ewes giving birth to newborn lambs. It is also the same month and day the Law (WORD)was given on Mt. Sini, is the same month and day of the commanded gathering for Feast of Weeks and the same month and day given for First Fruits/Pentecost, the giving of the Holy Spirit to the Apostles/disciples.
How could you miss all of this? I am shocked to say the least.

I'm not understanding how you get to October. If Jesus was placed in Maria in the sixth month as Luke literally states (he does not state in the sixth month of Elizabeth, that is presumed, but which could also have been true if Zacharia was serving during the Pascha,), counting 9 months implies means Jesus must have been born in the Jewish 3rd month, which falls in May -July if new year falls during March/April as stated in the presentation... This is also a time when it's not cold in Israel.

As Jhn 1 says, Christ came to declare _the Father_ and _His_ message . One of the many problems with professing Christians is that they portray the Father as being a background figure next to His own Messenger. The festivals are about _the Father_ , not Christ!

Khrist was born on the first day of the Feast of Tabernacles and circumcised on the 8th day, which just happens to be the day the blood begins to coagulate. The narrator is correct that to figure his birth, one must use the Course of Abiya.
This year, after using the original calendar and taking into account the change in days, I figured that our September 30 was the Day of His Birth.
Fyi, in the original texts, the Lord's mother's name is, Mariam-not Maria or Mary! And should be so called. The Lord’s first Name would be pronounced, Yasu. And most definitely ought to be called by that Name.
His enemies managed to place those other perversions into our Bibles.
The narrator did a good general job in this video. Let me add this, December 25 (or thereabouts) would have been close to the Day of Conception. Which among some back in the day was when the child's age began being counted.

    Dear Unraveling the Scriptures,
It seems to me that you have overlooked a significant point in the context of the relevant texts.
When the text says the "sixth month" in Luke 1:26, you seem to be assuming it is speaking of the sixth month of the Jewish year. I don't think the text supports that idea.
    Luke 1:24-25 says
"After these days his wife Elizabeth conceived, and for five months she kept herself hidden,
saying, “Thus the Lord has done for me in the days when he looked on me, to take away
    my reproach among people.”
This text is speaking of a statement Elizabeth made during her "fifth month" of pregnancy, of how now she is showing and now the Lord has removed the disgrace of her being barren for so long (Earlier the text does say she was advanced in years).
Now, in Luke 1:26, keeping similar paradigm of an angel announcing a pregnancy, Gabriel appears to Mary to announce that she will become pregnant. When it says "sixth month", we should keep the same context (because there is a continuation of the text here; There were no numerical references to divid and interrupt the flow of the context)). Here in verse 26, the "sixth month" is referring to the months of Elizabeth's pregnancy. The text just spoke of an event during her fifth month of pregnancy and not during Elizabeth's sixth month of pregnancy, Gabriel is coming to Mary to announce Mary will conceive a child. It is not referring to the sixth month of the Jewish year. That idea breaks the context and flow of the story.
Many commentators agree with this understanding : Ellicott's Commentary for English Readers, Benson Commentary, Barnes' Notes on the Bible, Jamieson-Fausset-Brown Bible Commentary, Matthew Poole's Commentary, Gill's Exposition of the Entire Bible, Cambridge Bible for Schools and Colleges, The Pulpit Commentary
"The Biblical Text narrates that Jesus was born during Joseph's and Mary's journey from nazareth to Bethlehem ..." No ! the text does not say that ! The text actually says Joseph went to Bethlehem:
"to be registered with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child. " (Luke 2:5)
So it is clear that during the journey, Mary was pregnant, but the text give no indication as to how many months she was pregnant. Once they arrived in Bethlehem, Mary gave birth to Jesus. The Text says:
"And while they were there, the time came for her to give birth." (Luke 2:6)
The text does not say how long they were in Bethlehem before Mary gave birth. It was probably no a matter of days or a couple weeks because of the difficulty of traveling during the last couple weeks of pregnancy. Remember they did not have the luxury of traveling in a car and it was a multi-day journey. It is very reasonable to believe that they were in Bethlehem a month or more before Mary gave birth, and the text more than allows fro this very reasonable assumption.
I think tradition misinforms us to think Mary gave birth that very night they arrived in Bethlehem. Would you start out walking on a multi-day journey with your wife who is expecting in a few days ? They were not that dumb in those days either.
And they did not stay at an Inn ("πανδοχεῖον" as used in Luke 10:34), They stayed in the lower stable area of the house because there was not room for them in the "κατάλυμα" (the lodging-place, upper or guest room), as used in Luke 2:7, Luke 22:11 and Mark 14:14.
Sorry, I just don't have any confidence in your interpretation. I see too many problems in your line of thinking. Be Well, DZ

Greetings. I find your calculations and conclusion at minute 6:19-6:55 questionable as the sixth month of a given year plus nine months gives the third month in the following year. Thus taking the first month of Nisan as March-April the third month would fall within May-June. While not wanting to be unnecessarily contradictory Luke 1:36 suggests Elizabeth to have been impregnated in Nisan which brings into question the time the course of Abia served in the temple.
Given Luke is getting his information from informants I'm of the view there's some mixup with the six months of Elizabeth's pregnancy at vs 36 and the sixth month of the year at vs 26.

I figured that out a long time ago. At the start of the New Year Mary was pregnant when she visited Elizabeth, who was also pregnant. John jumped with joy when Mary entered the room. That meant Elizabeth was about to deliver John the Baptist. If Jesus was born six months later it would put his birth sometime between September and October.

Debating the date of birth of our Lord Jesus is an evidence that God did not really want us to know the exact date because of the man's propensity to worship things and date rather the significance of the day or thing. Thanks for the vid. Still I have some questions. At 2'50" He was born but he did not say that he was born, so the calendar he uses does not matter. What is the relation between the date of announcement and the date of birth? The angel could speak any time couldn't he?The angel did not speak out a date. But after all I do not think that the day of birth will have a different influence on history if it is a month earlier or later.

Jesus was conceived on 9\11\3 BC on the Feast of Trumpets then 40 weeks after HE was born on the June 15th 2 BC on the Feast of Pentecost. That evening of the 16th Jupiter Jupiter and Venus conjoined for a sign so close it became one point of light with both planets magnifying the light but not so close that they deminished their light.
The Magi made it to Bethlehem on December 25 when Jupiter stopped its rotation and went into retrograde motion. So giving gifts on Christmas is a tradition established by the Magi in 2 bc.

Ppl can make up whatever justification they want for observing Christmas. They are only conning themselves into believing they're doing something God a favor. They are definitely not conning God. When they have to stand before Christ, their justifications, rationalizations, and excuses won't mean anything. Revelation says everyone will be judged by the biblical standards of morality and not their intentions.

The eyes are sharp, and beautiful features resemble the people of the Middle East, The picture was very super clear, which astonished and surprised me. At first I was asleep and suddenly woke up to bear witness to the situation,I thought there is some likeness in the very slight of my friend , but a quick inspiration came to me. He is Jesus , all of this took a few seconds was enough, not knowing how the disappearance occurred happened once ,hence what in my real scene have to say this the Christ looks other than this i do not know.Translate Arabic to English using Google,

Jesus was born in the first week of April 5-6-7 depending on the Equinox in - 1 BC. I will not give the crucial piece of information that is needed for the Enochian Calender so it can be pinpointed. This Calender is a sun Calender and necessary because on that Calender....Not just The Birth of Christ will happen every year on that same day of the week. But all the feast days and sabbaths. This Calender has an angel assigned to keep it correct and help men when the time is right to align with heaven all our feast days and salvation days and the birth of Jesus on the right day of the year which will always fall on the same day of the week every year without fail until the end of this earth at the end of the millennium. During the millennium we will be commanded and helped to walk according to that calender. I will give one more clue, Jesus was born on the fourth day of the week, which is also the day when God created the sun, and was crucified on a Wednesday and resurrected on the Sabbath....(would be equivalent to Saturday).......Remember the Shepherds and the sheep were in the mountains not in the nearby pastures nor in the pens and caves for the winter months. Jesus was born in one of the caves that were used for sheep. How it worked in those days the shepherds grazed the sheep away from the nearby pastures, so that the grass can recover from the previous fall when the sheep grazed back to their pen for the winter. Late fall and winter months the shepherds and sheep were not in the mountains, many people lives depended on those sheep. An Early ice storm and snowstorm could be disastrous. That leaves April in Spring when nature renews itself. Most lambs born in the Spring will survive. Also remember one of the Titles of Messiah is "Lamb of God".

Liked your analysis of dates. It’s good to explore these things. Maybe consider the fact that Jewish calendar is a lunar calendar. The month changes when the new moon is seen in Jerusalem. Months can vary in length based on this and it is difficult to predict and can change Feast days in a given year. The timing of the birth is important only to allow us to know when He entered the womb and thus when He was here in the Flesh. The only 2 Feasts that are 280/85 days apart are Tabernacles and Dedication. It seems to me that the Light of the World would enter the world during the Feast of Lights (one He honoured during His ministry) This means He would have been born in the Feast of Tabernacle. This also explains the lack of room in the inner The place of His birth was also not in a stable or cave but in a sukkah built next to the inn and over the spot where animals were normally tied and hence the manger. Just an alternative for people to explore blessings

When the angel visited Mary, he did not say it was the sixth month, but rather said that Elizabeth, who wad barren, was in her sixth month. None the less, we should remember that in our hearts, which God said He knows, we celebrate the gift of sending His Son into this undeserving world. If it were not a gift from God, maybe the wise men would not have made such a lengthy journey, bore gift, and avoided Herod. I may be wrong. Just let me know

Gabriel was in fact saying it was not only the Hebrew sixth month of counting (Exodus 12:1-2 and Luke 1:26) but ALSO Elizabeth's sixth month of pregnancy.(Luke 1:36)
If you cannot count in Hebrew you will never get it right. John was born in December and 6 months later Messiah was born in June which coincides with the WORD being given on Mt Sini, the Appointed Feast of Weeks/First Fruits and Pentecost. That is when the WORD was made flesh.
It's simple math but only if you think like a Hebrew, not a Christian.

No, when you count 9 months from the 6th month you end up at nearer to Pentecost, May or June depending when the Barley is Aviv. Also note that Mary was told that she would become pregnant, not that she was, if she accepted. Mary's pregnancy/conception probably took place at or after Atonement in the 7th month with John the Baptist's birth taking place during Hanukah in the 9th month, hence why Mary left Elizabeth right before she gave birth in order to attend the dedication of the Temple to God. Given these facts on the Biblically mandated observations and scriptural emphasis of the Aleph Tav in both the Old and New Testaments, Jesus, Yeshugn, likely was born 10 days before Shavuot/Pentecost, being the embodiment of the Aleph Tav in Birth and Ascension.
I believe that placed Yeshugn's Birth in June of 4bc, fulfilling scriptures of the corner stone placement of the Temple in the Second month (Haggai) and the prophetic Hezekiah forgiveness of sins of all who came to attend the 2nd Passover and enter the Temple simply thru repentance and not sacrifice or "cleanliness". His Holy birth obscured by Divine decree, 40 days after the 2nd Passover month's count. This fulfillment brought on by the slaughter of the 3000 pilgrims during the first Passover when they demanded a new High Priest and the removal of Herod's Eagle from the Temple Gate. Blood being spilled desecrated the Temple thus needing its' purification before Shavuot/Pentecost when Herod's madness decreed the tax. No room at the inn as not only were they obeying the decree, the Holy Family timed their travel as everyone else in observation of the upcoming Jerusalem celebration of Shavuot/Pentecost.

    OBEDIENCE IS BETTER THAN SACRIFICE.
The Lord never told His disciples to remember and celebrate His birth and that might be one of the main reasons why up to now, we still don’t really know His actual birthdate. But we can be certain through the Scriptures that He instructed all of His disciples to remember His death and celebrate it by sharing in holy communion and washing each other’s feet.
The Lord YESHUA isn’t pleased nor concerned about us wasting time, money, getting in debt and doing a lot of sacrifices to throw Him a birthday party every 25th of December that He never asked for in the 1st place. His Mom is famously remembered for saying: " DO WHATEVER HE SAYS". And he never said to celebrate His birthday especially the way we’re doing it. This is a religious invention to commercialize the holy fame of our Lord.
We all know that and it’s time to OBEY Him.
    What do you think?

I wish you were entirely correct but, think about it this way:
The day Christ was born, there was heavy celebration in heaven by the Angels of God. Men on earth did not think to celebrate. It was the Angels that revealed that there was celebration in heaven so that, the idea of the celebration of the birth of Christ was not invented by men on earth but by Angels in heaven. Now, scriptures have said
"thy will be done on Earth as it is in heaven"
If the birth of Christ was celebrated in heaven, do you think it is out of place for it to be celebrated on earth?
The major events that holds the most important significance to a Christian are:
      1. The Birth of Christ
      2. The Death of Christ and
      3. The Resurrection of Christ
None of the three events could occur without the other.
What people are not quick to see is the fact that the devil wants people to downplay the significance of the birth of Christ.

What's important is that Jesus was born because if he wasn't born we would all be lost. Whichever day our great Lord was born He came to save us. Regardless of which month He was born, and for that I am grateful and we are blessed. And this we should celebrate everyday by worshipping Him. Thank you Jesus for sacrificing yourself you being free of sin taking upon your shoulders the sins be of the world. We can never repay you and I am forever grateful 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏.

there are 365 days a year.. if you sum -up all the gods and goddeses all around the world they number thousands.. now if all those idols have a celebration each and everyday throughout the year.. 365 days are not enough for them. so maybe 3 idols have a celebration in one day.. nobody knows the exact birthday of Jesus. the fact that He was born to this world and to die for our sins instead of us ...is enough to celebrate regardless of date and months..

Even if Jesus was born in December, we would still be guilty of holding pagan traditions in high regard. Its ok to esteem the birth of our God and Savior but its not ok to do that using the traditions of heathens. The Christmas tree represents the tree in the garden, the garland the serpent, the star/angel at the top Lucifer, the lights Lucifer the illuminated one. Christmas is one of the greatest deceptions ever pulled on man by Lucifer to gain clout.

Christianity is based upon the teachings of Jesus Christ the Messiah. Jesus the Messiah is considered to be God in the flesh, from the perspective of the Christian Worldview. He existed before the "entire earth" and all created things. He is the creator of all physical existence.
So in essence, authentic "Christianity" existed well before the winter solstice existed and the winter solstice was the idea of Jesus the Messiah.
Thank Jesus that He created the natural laws of physical and celestial motion that allows the Winter Solstice to exist !
      Happy Winter Solstice !! DZ

The right question is not when He was born but when He entered the womb and was present in this world. That is when He came into existence in His Human Form. Interesting that G-d fulfills the feasts through the life of Yesuah.Born during Sukkot in a sukkah not a stable ( attached to the side of the inn over the place the manger was sitting) Timing of His conception was 280 days earlier which just happens to be the feast of Dedication. So the Light of the World came into the world during the Festival of Lights Imagine That Kind of also explains why He honoured that Feast during His ministry.

Assuming that the angel Gabriel announced to Zechariah in September of 6 BC that his wife Elizabeth was going to conceive, and supposing that Mary (Elizabeth's cousin) conceived after six months on March of 5 BC, and counting nine months from March, there is a remote possibility that Jesus could have been born sometime in late December of 5 BC. John the Baptist was six months older than Jesus (Lk. 1:36, 56). Assuming twenty-six weeks or six months after John’s birth in March, 5 B.C., that yields a date in the Jewish calendar of Tevet 16, which would have come around the third or fourth week of December of same year. For example, 25 December 0005 B.C.E. = 16th of Tevet, 3756. However that date should be inaccurate and adjusted since ten days are offset after our current calendar was introduced by Pope Gregory XIII in 1582 aka the Gregorian calendar.

I would say spring or summer. Considering the shepherds were out at night watching the flocks.
