Worked at a Chick-fil-A, and an order like this would come in every other day, sometimes with a very short or zero notice ahead of time. We'd have plenty of days with 200+ chicken sandwiches. The busiest days were football game days in the fall, where we'd get multiple massive orders of 100+. The kitchen would be absurdly busy and crowded because not only do you have these orders, but you have a drive-thru line wrapping around the building twice with 4 outside order takers, and your 5 order takers inside with the line inside wrapping around and out the door. Plus you get plenty of other orders coming in through the mobile app that just pop up and door dash orders. It's so funny to me when I hear people freaking out because 100+ sandwiches was almost a daily occurance. A 50+ order was guaranteed daily.
The Cowbell heard at 5:32 is the noise grill gets whenever someone orders a Quarter Pounder. The noise is made the moment we tap the button on the screen for a Quarter Pounder, it's like magic! It's been over 5 years since I worked at McDonald's but it was so much fun.

They need to make it a rule to have customers call ahead if they're getting a large order. Something like 20 cheeseburgers can be handled along with other orders no problem, but if someone comes and decides to get like 100 of them, they shouldn't be angry if it takes some time. 100 cheeseburgers even with the best team on Earth can take a little bit.
True, we're not robots. We're human beings that can't be as efficient or productive as a robot. It will take time that people hopefully take into consideration when purchasing large orders.
How do you know they didn’t, even if you call ahead they still would be having to make them along side other orders dummy. They don’t have a magical second kitchen for large orders.
@@BuckingHorse-Bull The thing about cheeseburgers is that they are extremely easy and quick to pump out. Anything under like 30 Cheeseburgers isn't a big deal if the whole team is working hard together. 100 in one order however is another story.

We had a second grill that didn't really get used unless something like this happened. It didn't take to long and we would get a pretty good process going.
In France, 10-15 years ago, with a team of roughly 15 people, at the end of a short film shoot, we grouped our money and ordered exactly this : 100 cheeseburgers... That was a celebration for us, and kind of a "feast" on our side, for sure. But now I realize it was surely a struggle, if not a battle in the kitchen. Back then I was too young, that I did not began, even from a single second to thought about it and all that it could imply in the process regarding the pressure put onto some fellows behind the stove. Now that I've seen your video Stephen, I realize all of it wholly, and I feel quite a lot of shame and guilt for all the staff at the McDonald's we ordered from... You and your co-workers took it like champs ! AS I hope my fellows people did the same. Kudos to that !

Stephen takes pride in his work making these cheeseburgers. He doesn't just slap them together like my local store. I'm sure it means more to him owning the store there.
My only critique as someone who's done this, grabbing the burgers with his hands instead of the tongs makes every wrapper after that greasy as hell, but it's a very minor thing and that's impressive for even the PR team of corporate.
bro half the cheese is hanging off the side of the patty on most of these....looks pretty slapped together to me. It literally takes no extra time or effort to just put everything in the center of the bun, for the love of God, but no one ever does it
@@Shifty319 so you’re telling me you don’t care when you get a “maccas” (darn you Australians and your funny little abbreviations!) burger and half the slice of cheese is hanging outside of the bun? It’s just laziness dude. You don’t have to be a McDonald’s employee to know that half the cheese hanging off the burger is bs. And sure, I could easily show them how to put cheese on the center of a burger, and so could any three year old. It takes exactly the same amount of time to put the cheese on the center of the burger as it does to put it halfway hanging off the burger, so there is absolutely zero excuse for not doing it the right way. It’s not like you have to pull out a ruler and measure the bun and size of cheese and all that for 15 extra seconds in order to put the cheese actually on top of the meat. And don’t act like this is some wild demand to ask for the burger to look and be constructed properly like a real burger. Cheese being on top of the burger is basically the main thing about a burger, and cheese hanging halfway off the bun just ruins everything. Don’t excuse laziness that quite literally takes the exact same amount of time and energy to do the right way. There is no valid excuse for not doing it, and I’d love to hear you try to come up with one! Genuinely curious as to how you will try to refute this.

I've never worked at a McD before and they have about as bad of a reputation as it could get, but I'm sure there are those good gems with a great crew and this person had a great experience at their location. It isn't mosts cup of tea, but it is for some. Having some of your best memories be working at a McD does not imply or mean their life is bad in any way.
Much respect dude! You do a magnificent job and you are even so careful to put the burgers in the center. This is fantastic!
I'd love to see an interview with the woman working with you on this order, See her in the background all the time. Be cool to know her story, why she works there, how long, what she loves about it, hates about it, etc.
Mad respect. Thank you for this peak behind the scenes.
Talk about pressure! Fast food workers are phenomenal! Thank you all for your hard work and dedication to your job and customers!
this isnt pressure
I worked McDs summers while with my dad and Hardees when i was at home with Mom after their divorce. Then waited tables through college at Perkins. You have extraordinary work ethic and i was the same way then and now. I now am in electrical engineering designing cabinets after college BUT never lost respect for those that work harder than me. I always have patience and tip big cause I know how tough it can be. That kind of work is the hardest. Your politeness and teamwork skills are off the charts and i commend you
Respect. You all work hard. I love my local mcdonalds and see the same people all the time there. They are a great crew.
They don’t have a magical second kitchen for large orders.
what if they want to order 21 cheese burgers. do they still need to call ahead
@@BuckingHorse-Bull The thing about cheeseburgers is that they are extremely easy and quick to pump out. Anything under like 30 Cheeseburgers isn't a big deal if the whole team is working hard together.
100 in one order however is another story.
I worked at Wendy's when I was younger and every so often guys would comes in and order about 300 burgers for the inmates at a prison down the road. We had a second grill that didn't really get used unless something like this happened. It didn't take to long and we would get a pretty good process going.
I can't believe you only get one slice of pickle.. It's crazy.. Look how lonely that one pickle is.. You only get a bite of it once or twice.
Kudos to that !
i worked at mcdo for 7 years, and funnily enough when i got married last year we decided to have cheeseburgers at the midnight snack table. my only thought was how hard the kitchen workers must have had to work to get in our 150 cheeseburgers!
dont miss the stress of the job, but defs miss the crew i worked with, the regulars that were friendly, and the place that almost felt like a second home for so many years

Nicely done Stephen, you have an excellent general manager. You both work well as a team.

That teamwork is how it's done. Love it.
I think I saw a video of a dude who ordered 100 burgers and was giving them out to the hungry. Could it of been him? :o

@@krithiksingh Very sus. Don't recommend
Let me just say that I really appreciate the people who work at McDonalds and attempt to do a quality job.
This order was most likely for a party, school or workplace, I very much doubt 1 person ordered all this food for themselves
lol @ Vickie asking if she’s getting in the way… you kidding? She was on FIRE getting those buns ready!
U just know ain't nobody messing with Vicky she would be throwing nugs like they was shuriken
I’ll love my entire life amazed that this is what people get paid minimum wage to do, while C-suite executives make millions sitting on zoom calls for most of the day.
Saying things like we need to watch labor because I only will get x million this quarter. Those ceos can kiss my ass
There's a rush hour? McDonalds is on par with Michellin restaurant-prices at the moment
It's propaganda. They edit down to the pleasant customer interactions
I enjoyed this so much I’m gonna go get a job at my local McDonald’s
This is what I liked about working in fast food. Being a master in the kitchen and having a good crew and getting $#!t done.
Makin money for some guy whos not even working. Im lovin it
Is it weird that I watch this food content and it actually helps with my diet. Weird I know.
I saw a couple of errant pickle slices that were bugging me. lol. But yeah, pretty good!
bro half the cheese is hanging off the side of the patty on most of these....looks pretty slapped together to me. It literally takes no extra time or effort to just put everything in the center of the bun, for the love of God, but no one ever does it
@@STSGuitar16you should apply for Maccas and show them how it's done
And then he complains most of them are cold and gets a full refund 😂
If the customer ordered this before calling ahead during the lunch rush, they should go to prison.
ngl this really opened my eyes, thank you for making this video!

I drive a charter bus so this must be what it’s like behind the scenes when I pull in for a meal break with a full bus!
Stevie P.... the Burger whisperer 🤣
2:24 that pickled cucumber made me nervous, but he got it. Legend :)
First ever job was fast food. I love watching POV of other fast food places. The way people assemble something, and the way it's wrapped and how different team members work together are all so different every compared to each one, and my own. It's always so fascinating and memorizing to watch...
This nice lady deserves a raise man she's so professional and fast at what she's doing
По ту сторону прилавка никогда и не скажешь что это такая тяжелая работа! Честь Вам и хвала!
Not stepping, but how high does food cost have to get before they give you less than one pickle slice per burger?
Yeah its getting ridiculous
My job did that once and we brought back like 5 full McDonald's bags.
Part of me does miss working table and grill at McDonald's. The pay was horrible but the work was pretty fun
We want longer videos
Love your content btw
He has a wife, a kid plus he also owns 2 stores so he is a busy guy
Man what a master class performance on fulfilling such a large order so smoothly and quick.
Considering the editing and sped up footage, it must've taken them plenty of time.
Wow you pay 2.19 for a tiny cheese burger and you only get 1 pickle 😂
I was gonna say we get 3 pickles.
PONELE VO PO
I was looking for the first person to mention one pickle per burg. I mean I understand you’re making a hundred burgers but what’s the point of one pickle I’d rather you just skip it at that point

Wonder if someone that orders 100 cheeseburgers thinks it will be a fast order LOL 😅
And it was only 1 item, imagine if it had been 100 cheeseburgers, 100 large fries, 100 cokes, 100 apple pies, 100 McFluries, 100 boxes of nuggets :P

A job well done! My absolute respect!
I used to work for Wendy's back from 2010-2022 (high school through college) and my largest order was 40 triple baconators, fifty homestyle chickens, fifty spicy chickens and 100 crispy chickens. It took us over an hour to get it all done due to cook times and how we could only safely fit 30 homestyle or spicy in the pressure fryer at the same time. the burgers we used the entire grill fully loaded multiple times until we were done. It was a football team bus and they didnt call in advance.
5 McDouble,extra pickle,extra onions and a Strawberry Milkshake

I know how hard it is to work in a fast food restaurant because I worked at Wendy's for 10 years.
I hate pickles, but 1 pickle slice for an entire cheeseburger seems criminal
Is putting onions in the regular patty trays a new thing?
noticed that too!
Do they have to call you before they do big orders like this?
Ideally yes. In practice usually not
I know for pizza you have to call the store a day in advance so they have enough dough prepped, at least where I worked.
I cant believe bro spent $105 in one order at McDonald’s 💀
He's the perfect fastfood employee. If he plays is cards right, he'll make manager and make a salary of 65k a year. He will only have to work 60 hrs a week, for what is $10 an hour. Then after awhile, some urban youth scholars will come in. Then he will definitely get fired.

This is the way a mcdonalds should run all other McDonalds restauraunts need to employ this kind of efficiency in their workplace so things don't back up to the point where mistakes will cost them valuable time and money for the company. cause i worked at a McDonald's with limited staff for 4 years and the times was deplorable to the point people kept screwing orders up and having to remake them. Way to go steven keeping those burgers and nuggets going out.
lol, it's run so well because he's the owner and cares about it...since he is actually working on the line
experience helps you get this fast too. A lot of people that work in Mcdonalds are kids
@@conorbrown5996This isn't even comparable to what I would consider fast from when I worked there. I'm not exaggerating when I say in order like this should have been done and easily under 8 minutes. Mostly because that is how long it would take to cook the meat
Impressive and exhausting for sure!! Do you or anyone know why McDonald's seem to not "heat up" their burgers anymore before serving? I can order a "plain cheeseburger" which used to be wicked hot because it either just came off the grill or it was in the micro for 10 seconds. Now, I need to reheat most everything (except Filet-o-fish) when I get home....and eating IN or the car? Forget it... Anyways, thanks for the video! Closest thing I had to this was when I worked at my local Family Dollar, two women legit got EVERY TOOTHPASTE and SHAMPOO bottles in the store, right when we were closing, while also using every coupon they had!
Customers keep us all working, employed and able to feed our families. It is after such a rush where we are tired, given our all, but feel like we have accomplished something. Very nice work, that is the spirit of America.
Now do 100 Filet 0 Fishes 😁
Good lord, back in the 80's we prepared 12 at a time! It took 39 seconds to cook 24 patties. This order would be cold before it was prepared!
Sometimes it tastes better when it's not scalding hot, kind of like the fries...
Wow, those look yummy.
Truly is unfortunate that the human stomach isn't a bottomless pit of storage for consuming food
I worked for McDonald's for 3 years, and it wasnt a bad job. However it was a 24hr store, and we'd get late night customers with the munchies. I worked the overnight shift, which only had 4 people including the MIC (manager in charge). So it get hectic at times, but watching these vids brings back memories of senior year of highschool working with the boys.
Subliminal McDonald's training video
If you spun the wrappers around 180 degrees, the burgers would all be on the right of the paper, and they would stack nicer and be easier to make more at a time in a given space when you're offloading them to the right.
This method here is perfect when on the other side offloading to the left.
In the 90's we made em' by the tray of 12 at a time. "Give me 8 on 12 meant 12 burgers with cheese on 8 of them.
How does 8 on 10 make sense if there's 12?
