Chicken gizzards can be damn delicious, but I hate to tell ya..., they either gotta be preboiled or braise or even simmer for about 2 hours to be edible!!
@@Jeff-j4m That's why you should use baking soda. I rather soak twice and then pan fry and I have tender gizzards in under 10 min of cooking. Soak in vinegar and water to get rid of the smell, then soak with baking soda to get them really nice and tender. I do the same with chicken hearts, pork kidney and use baking soda for beef stir fry but then skip the vinegar. I cut chicken hearts/gizzards in half first. I will try this recipe!

Only way is to bring them to boil then simmer for 2 hours. When water goes away add 1/3 stick of butter salt & pepper. They come out very tender-Enjoy

Instead of refrying the gizzards with garlic at the end, why not add the garlic at the beginning to save time?
Way too involved. Season and cook in slow cooker in chicken stock till desired tenderness, then can out out and brown in butter if desired

Yup, I even change the water after first 10 minutes of boiling, gets rid of unpleasant smell. Then they are yummy.

yea! If you dont boil or pressure cook, they're tough as a pine knot!
