- The 2020 annual release for the Friends of Laphroaig features the classic 10 year after being rested in Ruby Port 'barriques' and double aged in ex-bourbon and wine casks. The lads compare to the standard 10 year and discuss 'nipulature'.

Ya'll should do a special where you put small amounts of wine into scotches to replicate the finishes in wine barrels!
And port, sherry, etc. That would be very interesting indeed!
I think it would work best specifically with fortified wine like port or sherry as they are closer in flavor profile
I recently put a few drops of port wine into a pour of Port Charlotte 10 and I was pleasantly surprised!
That could be a good Tribe episode. Take an entry scotch, i.e. Ardbeg 10, add a drop of sherry and see how close it is to Uigeadail, or as Rex says Og-DOLL.

Love the channel! People don't talk about nipplelature enough. Maybe this would be better on Tribe but I would love to see an episode with tasting notes of the different things used in finishing, such as the different madeiras, ports, wines, cognacs, rums, and beer. I'm not going to do it but would love to learn more.

This Cairdeas is excellent. I may prefer the regular Laphroaig Portwood though, even though I never drank them side by side as I don't have neither of these bottles. Laphroaig + wine is always a win.

We just got these last Thursday in my province. Everyone went crazy and sold out before I could even submit my payment online.... some people bought like 24 of them at a time or more.
When I see the label I think oh i might want that. But all the reviews of this don't seem to get much of the port cask finish that I really would want.

Tried finding a Laphroaig 10 or an Ardbeg at three of my local liquor stores and no one carried them. One store use to carry Laphroaig but not any more. Could this be a state (Mississippi) issue or do I just have shitty liquor stores. Looking like I might have to take a trip to New Orleans to find some
