    That mindset study is fascinating! I work in places where food is often provided & many coworkers lament about eating even when they are not hungry simply because it's accessible. I try to ask myself "am I really still hungry??". It takes a very conscious effort.

      Yes, for sure! A lot of our eating behaviours are habits that we don’t think about very often.

    it's definitely psychologically... the term "comfort food" did not come from nothing... I've noticed that most people will always be in a struggle with food... having other things in life you get your comfort and happiness fix from other than food helps greatly in managing your weight and relationship with food... but again, it's a struggle and will always be a struggle till death 😅

    Hello Ivana. What are some ways to control hunger after a long fast run and heavy lifting session? I noticed I get very hungry due to my cortisol spiked the following day, so I go ravenous on foods. Do you recommend not running to lose fat?

    I have an appetite that is absolutely not in proportion to my body size. I used to be very slim before I gained 20 kilos of weight due to a diet change recommended by my doctor. Unfortunately, that weight gain was NOT only muscle. I am much bigger now, but my appetite is still the same as a it was as a slim person. Now I'm just a person in a large body with a dislike in food. Even if I'm physically hungry, I'd much rather not eat bc I dont have the appetite. I suffer from low energy and my weight does not budge. It's such a twisted situation to be in, I dont really know how to fix this

      It does seem like a complex situation and certainly not something that I can answer here in the comments. It's best to see a doctor to address your concerns.

    Do you count macros? I’ve been bodybuilding since January and have noticed that a lot but not all bodybuilders count macros. When would you suggest counting macros vs not counting macros?

      @IvanaChapman  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I don't compete anymore, but when I did I usually tracked calories/macros in prep. Bodybuilders who don't track calories/macros tend to follow a consistent meal plan (the same thing all the time), so they're always having the same calories/macros and don't need to track.
      For most people, I recommend initially tracking calories and protein (adjusting fat and carbs based on preference) to get familiar with the components of foods they regularly eat. On an ongoing basis, I don't think most people need to track calories/macros, but having awareness certainly helps.

    I hear all the time how you need good sleep. I do everything I know of to get to sleep but it just doesn't work most nights. I'm thinking of going towards sleeping pills. What do you think about using them short term?

      You should discuss the benefits and risks of any medication with your doctor.
