    You seem to be getting a lot of negative and EV hate comments. I don't understand why people feel the need to do this as if they want to be proven correct they can just keep on reading the Sun and wait and see after a few years. Stay positive young man and don't rise to it.

    We purchased our 2021 pre-registered Mii in September 2021, 8 miles on the clock when collected from Carlisle (we're 9 miles east of Manchester), paid £17k. 14 months later in November 2022, and with a new Citroën Ami on the drive, the Mii had just 3.5k miles on the clock and was sold via carwow to a dealer in York for £17.6k. Regretted the sale soon after but hey, ho! The Mii appeared on AutoTrader soon after for around £21k, slowly the price dropped, it remained unsold, the mileage never changed. In April 2023 it had dropped to £15k so we bought it back. The price of Miis have continued to drop but we've no regrets; the Ami has now been moved on, and with approximately 6k miles now on the clock, the Mii is a keeper.

  • @justinholding02
    @justinholding02 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +12

    You could probably get a Dacia Spring for that sort of money. But congratulations on the MII. They're brilliant. if I can give you some advice make sure the battery management software has the latest version (2730) because there were issues with the older software that can kill one or several battery modules. There wasn't a recall on it so I suggest you contact your dealer. The lane assist will probably drive you mad, but it's possible to recode the front camera so that it remembers the last setting. Same with the air con that always sets to 22 degrees. Simple fix with a diagnosis tool.

      @cannygrowabeard 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @justinholding02 how would I check if my car is on that version? Or does a service centre have to plug in to check that? Also, any way to identify a dead cell? Does the car display anything that would suggest there is an issue?

    EVM, I'm not surprised at the struggle you're having. RSEV the Tesla retailer, said a few weeks back that used EV sales last August were up 68% over the same period last year........they almost ran out of used stock at one point. The Seat Mii looks like a shrewd buy.....and at that level of efficiency, why would you even consider using public transport for a town or city commute? This really is 1p per mile motoring..... As you mentioned in the video, I'd also noticed EV prices and residuals firming up again.......

    3:52 Digital mis-pricing
    My wife had this situation some years ago. We travelled 30 miles to a Main dealer after I'd done the research for the car she wanted. Had the test drive, but could understand why it was so much cheaper than any on the market, then the Salesman presented his price. Not the advertised price!! He then passes it over to his boss,
    I would have been heavy on this, but my wife said "I want to buy it, you want to sell it, lets come to an agreement". They did😀
    They revealed that all 11 cars they'd purchased from the company had been mis-priced. They'd forgotten to add the VAT!!

    I have just done a similar thing - I was looking at the 3x VAG "E-Up" variants and the Zoe. I watched Autotrader for about 6 weeks during which I pinned down my requirement a bit and then I found about 6 examples in the same Renault dealership so I left a deposit and booked a train ticket. I had decided the Mii was the best value car at the £10-12k mark but the extra range of the Zoe tipped the balance. They have gone up a bit since I bought but are still great value - both models.

    We have just had to hand our Seat Mii lease car back. Loved it. Decent range and I agree, economical. Even we had no bother getting 5.5 miles per Kilowatt hours in decent weather or 3.5 in winter. It did not like rapid charging though, only the old chargers would work, anything with decent charge rate was a huge nope as the charger people haven't programmed Seat Mii's into their chargers (apparently, I tried to sort for 2 years, even got the car checked at a main dealer). Other than that solitary quirk, car was simply amazing

    We bought a 3 year old mini ev3 a couple of months ago for £21000 and it’s brilliant still does the range as new and it had over 21000 miles on it when we bought it. Cheap to run on Octopus tariff and used for every short journey. Sadly we had a “don’t drive!” Error two weeks ago and mini are still scratching their heads as to what’s gone wrong, I think the BMS is fecked personally and they’re trying to find a cheap fix. I managed to grab it within minutes of it going on their web site and they had numerous people ring up about it when we went to test drive it and the day we collected it as we were going over the handover someone came up to the salesman to see if they could buy it! Don’t tell me the ev market is dead, the second hand one just isn’t. We are stuck with a 72 plate BMW i3 until they fix our mini it’s bloody awful

    After watching the last video I got a Nissan leaf, an old 2014 one with 12 bars. It was £6500 from a proper business (not going to risk it with our 1st EV that we know nothing about) and we needed one urgently due to ULEZ. It's our second car, the diesel still being our travelling around the UK car whilst the EV is for all the journeys of 60 miles return. Saved us a bit already (along with the ULEZ charges we would have had to pay). It will be interesting to see what is available in 3 years' time.

      @@ljb9983 It was 60,000 miles. My 1st concern when looking was the battery condition and after that the age. Since it was ULEZ and our diesel did not comply we had to buy a car quickish. Most of the Nissan Leafs I saw were cheaper but had anything from 6 bars. I don't think it's a new battery as a lot of paperwork was included from the previous owner and there were yearly battery checks that showed it was always good.. I just think the battery had never been pushed. We got the EV because in London petrol cars had gone up (due to the huge demand for complient cars) and since my partner is auto only the prices were comparable as they were asking silly money. The petrol cars were often 100,000 miles plus or 2006 onwards.

I did get it to 70mph for a while a few days ago and the mileage seemed to drop by 25%. otherwise, anything below 50mph seems to get the 5 miles to the kw.
      I guess the battery is good because it was maybe only charged to 80% at home and only did light work (so the battery never got hot which seems to be the killer) as it was apparently a woman driver so guessing dropping the kids off and Tesco's.

      It’s not law, nobody has to sell you anything at any price they can just withdraw it from sale, however on a customer relations point of view its not worth getting the bad press unless its a major mis-pricing. If however they put the wrong price up and take your money for the full asking price then they cannot go back on it and ask for the correct price it should have been. My mate bought a bike online at several hundred pounds off the list price (pre Brexit) as the conversion had been done wrong way around he paid in full then they tried to cancel out once they realised their error he refused to back down and the give in. Legally they could have returned his money and said the bike is mo longer for sale but probably realised not worth the bad press he would have generated.

I doubt that the £5 increase of your insurance was relevant without disclosing the total amount. If it's already expensive £5 extra is irrelevant either way. My neighbours have a Puma ST each they are both younger than me but spend considerably more on their insurance.
