Wow that is really cool. I am an artist, and one thing I can see doing (prior to clear coating it) is taking a wood panel like you did with the rivets, then airbrushing something on the panel like a flag or a very realistic portrait, then clear coating it. It would look like someone actually painted on a sheet of heavy steel. Thanks, great tutorial. I may also be sending you an e mail as to where you can find those wooden I beams. I have an idea for a coffee table that I think would be fun.
Its a "patina" spray...its a product sold by the paint company, so its actually more of a product review than a paint technique...a paint technique you can use any paint, but if you have to use a specific product, then its not a technique really because you can not do it without that specific product =/
Here is the direct link to the patina paint I am using. dixiebellepaint.com/patina-paint/?aff=67
So you NEED this paint to do this look, its not actually a technique as much as its a product, then, right?
Nice!
Will this same process work on exterior metal door? I sanded door and painted matte exterior paint on it. Can I paint iron patina paint next.
nice studio, nice work 👏
Thank you so much! ❤️
Thanks! Love your vids!
Anytime! And thank you!
How did you mount the one you did for a floating shelf?
Can you use any brand of base paint

I made the ibeams. I think I have a video on here somewhere that shows you how. I'll have to try and find it. It's really easy
@@DoingitWithjason Okay, thanks. I will go through your video archives. Great effect on your wood pieces.
Do you have to use prime start on metal before patina?
Yes! They recommend that to protect the metal underneath the paint and prevent it from rusting
what did you make the faux I beam out of. it s wood, but what kind? it looks very light
I used a cabinet grade plywood that I had lying around. Pretty much any plywood will work especially since your just painting it
What is in the spray bottle
