I'm finally back! New backdrop, new place, new camera (still learning how to use it, bear with me!), took me a lot longer to get back than I initially thought. It will take me a bit of time to get back into the swing of things and be uploading regularly every week, but for now, I hope you enjoy a cover from one of my favourite songs from the new Slipknot record (and try to ignore the poor-ish lighting!).
Compared your play to few other covers and Root himself and found this cover a bit more interesting. You position ~12 frets on instead of transposing to next frets. Theoretically this must be considered a transposing mistakes, but... I find that treble output providing some magic. It's not bad, it just feels different in a cool way.
Thank you! Slipknot's tone was pretty difficult to get just right tbh (considering both Jim and MIck have different tones) and I've tried to emulate both as close as I can. Definitely more videos coming soon!
Hey man welcome back i was just wondering whats your favorite album from Slipknot because this one is DEFINITELY one of my favorites also your covers are still the best as ever keep it up man
The trick is to learn where the pattern starts and ends and you'll notice then it's just repeating itself. It is difficult to get spot on at first, but once you get the feel for it, it's actually quite easy.
I’ve come to realize Slipknots riffs kick ass between mick and Jim but the rest of the 10 thousand band members and cheerleaders complicate and mess all that awesomeness of guitar playing up and hides it way too much.

Greta Mate! Do you change strings for that drop b?
Thank you! I think I had my guitar set up with 11-56 strings at the time.
The bridge always gets me in the song because I can't get the hang of the strumming pattern
