@@serin_rxses3128 I just bought a $30 pedal with multiple sustain settings on it if you press at different pressures and it hasn't broken even a little, I can give you the Amazon link if you have the right type of input if you want
Just fixed mine and wow, it is even better than I thought. I kind of like the more stiff feel than just lightly pressing it. You got yourself a like and a sub from me
BRILLIANT! Worked perfectly. The challenge was apparent once I'd opened the unit, but I was really scratching my head over what material to use for the repair. BOBBY PIN... OF COURES!!! I won't embarras myself by listing the things I had in mind! Many Many thanks for sharing this fix!!!
I know this video is old but I Thought I lost hope on this. I own and allegro 3 and it happened and accidentally threw out the spring because I thought it wouldn’t be fixable. Once I found this video my hope came back and learned a new trick. Thank you man!!!🔥
Thanks for this. Opened mine up after it stopped working and found the wire that makes the connection was almost broken (I barely touched it and it did break). Fixed it exactly the same way and it's working again! Saved me buying a new one.
It worked perfectly. Because of the Coronavirus pandemic, I couldn’t go out and purchase a new one right away. You solved my problem. Thank you sooo much!
Korg ps1 foot switch is kinda different but I just tinkered it randomly and it worked. Thanks, man. I wouldn’t have had the courage to tinker with my pedal if not for your video! You found yourself a new subscriber! 😂
This is great, I was able to fix mine. I used the metal ring from a set of keys. It was quite malleable and I was able to mould it into a suitable shape. Works perfectly. Thanks for sharing!
HA innovative solution. I have a different type of sustain pedal so I wasn't able to follow this walkthrough, but it was still cool to see how the pedal works. Also it looks like this was recorded using a really high quality camera!
Date: 4.3.2024 Thank you! I went home and my daughter said the keyboard pedal was broken. I panicked and thought to get a new one. Then I said wait let me check on TH-cam how to fix pedal then you popped out. The issue in mine was the wire was broken, I just soldered it. Then my daughter tried it and it works..
HOLY, I was panicking as I couldn't practice for my band without the pedal and was feeling a bit lazy to follow this vid, you just saved me. Ty so much
I have a similar sustain pedal (ProLine brand). It works. But, it won't disengage. As soon as I turn the on/off switch on, it sustains all the time, even when the pedal is not pressed. Would this fix work for that?
Great video! does the Roland DP-10 pedal work with the same mechanism? I find that it randomly sustains notes / chords even though the pedals released.
Did you figure it out? Mine doesn't have a flat head or a phillips screw. It's just two knobs, one on other end. I guess maybe it would need a socket wrench to take it off ....
@@scottinvad2096 you probably shouldn’t listen to me since I’m merely a 15 year old but mine is just two knob-like circles without anything to screw on, but I noticed there were ring-like kind of things behind the knobs so I used a pair of pliers to push the little ring off as it was acting like a seal or something like that, after that I could easily take the knobs off. Sorry I seriously suck at explaining hahahah
@@vickisaurusc4225 Thanks a lot for your reply, Vickisaurus! Your explanation makes sense. I am going to try pliers to see if that works. I appreciate it!!
That is crazy! Sorry you couldn't fix it. I bought one online for like $10 but it took about a month to get to me. It came from China. Got it on eBay, so that is an option.
I can't figure out WHAT is wrong with my pedal, but IT ISN'T THIS. I thought it might've been the spring, but they all pop off like that, so that CAN'T be it. I CANNOT FIGURE IT OUT i cried a lot right now I'm so angry. I literally am feeling keyboard withdrawal because I'd rather NOT play AT ALL then play without a pedal. Its an M-Audio.
I have a Lagoto III and the pedal stopped working properly, but, instead of a slotted screw which would have only required a screwdriver, they put a threaded bolt so you have to have two metric sockets just to unscrew the damn thing. Like everything made in China by 12 year old girls in sweat shops, it's a complete piece of junk. Interestingly, the origin of manufacture is listed as "made by an unknown source in China". Go figure.
I’m not entertained by these anymore they are so unoriginal and the same thing every video it’s just filling this up with this and filling my backyard with this and filling house with this and last person to take hand of of this gets this and last one to exit circle gets this

Great video. I used the off-cut from one of my old bass guitar strings instead.
Same thing works for a switchable pedal but it's a bit more fiddly
Thanks for posting, this was really helpful for me.
Lmao i just dropped mine on the floor out of rage from like knee height and it fixed it self
