Thanks for the video. I was able to remove the cupholder section without removing the armrest. Just leave closed until you are ready to lift up the section under the armrest. I had plenty of room to completely remove the cupholder section without the extra work of removing and reattaching the armrest.
Thank you Sir. I entered the rabbit hole in search of a missing membership card and came out with a $20 bill and some old French fries from the previous owner. The twenty will pay for a new card and some new fries.
I did end up needing to remove the armrest for putting everything back in, but it wasn’t as hard as I’d thought. thank you very much for the short and simple video

And also I like my suv, but it's a detail nightmare, just not well designed for that, I mean I can't even pick up with my fingers the fench fries that dropped in the door storage compartments, waaaay too much and too tiny detail design throughout
Hey hell yeah it did work and thank you so much im gonna try to remove this myself cuz my husband refuses to pay some cleaning place to do a complete carpet interior detail... and its about 350 here in IL cuz its dirty af. And it looks like my kids spilled dark chocolate milk and my husband spilled car oil with mud. No real oil but hes a roofer and the stuff he puts in the truck leave so much filth.... he uses the car 6 month and me 6 months and its about time I get to use it and I can't stand the dirtyness in it. And was really looking in how to dismantle this part and finally one video that gave me some peace and tranquility. I see a CD and tonts of fries and salsa/ketchup packets.
I wish there is a video of how to remove the cigaret and lighter cover on the GMT800 Escalades ! Mine dont hold the close position anymore but i dont know if i can fix it myself or i need a new one and how to do it myself ! But great video brings me a little bit further 👍

Thank you--got the credit card back! We didn't take off the arm rest door but still had to remove the clock panel and then removed the cupholder.
