Rainy days can't stop us from farming! While the fields are too wet for spring planting, we're taking advantage of the downtime to upgrade our irrigation system with custom safety stops!
Join us in the shop as we fabricate and weld these essential stops, and then follow us to the field where we'll install them using our trusty excavator, Bobcat, and tool truck. We even get the John Deere 690B excavator in on the action!
In this video, you'll see:
- Welding and fabrication in action
- Excavator and Bobcat in operation
- Tool truck essentials for the job
- Safety stops installation from start to finish
- Problem-solving and innovation in action
Don't let rainy days get you down! Turn them into opportunities to improve and upgrade your farming operations. Subscribe to our channel for more farming innovation, equipment action, and problem-solving videos! - บันเทิง
Brandon , dad's first system was a water drive, one direction travel only. You had to irrigate to move the system. Tower gets stuck , trips mercury switch. Had to run over your crop with a tractor to pull the tower back in line. The wind finished that system for us. Most of us quit playing in the mud when we were boys.
Good to see the 690 being used.
I finally had enough time to actually watch the whole video, truthfully never gave any thought about the start & stop of the pivots. Always figured people had them figured out, but this was most educational anyways. I have though seen pivot areas from an airplane and it looks pretty cool.
Although I am familiar with these, it was still a great video. I'm sure there are many people who enjoyed this as much or more than I. I always enjoy watching videos on how things work. I learn things that I didn't know. I have to admit, I figured you were stuck in the muck as well, 😂😂.. guess I was wrong, 😂😂.. great job welding. Thanks for taking the time to share and I'll see you later.
That was a interesting video I didn’t know how they worked I seen them out in the fields thanks for showing us how they work
very neat Brandon! great job taking care of the stops for the pivot watering system
those are simple , and in most cases simple is better! less to go wrong, easier to maintain!
are they driven by water as it flows to water the plants? great seeing the crew together
fixing things up! take care! and be safe out there.
I love the air system for welding the galvanized. I made the mistake when I was in high-school of welding galvanized. It wasn't much but it still made me sick.
Great information and great job of installation Brandon, Dad, George, and Scooter 👍
Great video great job thanks Brandon and George
Thanks for sharing, another nice video. Always enjoy your videos.
Master pile driver!
I enjoyed yet another clip on another new subject. Another day. Another new adventure.
It is remarkable how many man hours go into what is such a seemingly simple task.
Thank you for showing and explaining how it works! Hope you can get in the fields soon and be done with your planting!
Love the OSHA approved ventilation system bud lol. That galvanized is nasty and ur throat will sure feel it after sucking it in. If it works it's not stupid right like the way you guys are always thinking. Did ya call 811 before drilling them holes I don't see any locator flags lol. Great video Bud
So I would like to see what keeps it all in line .. I work on dirt equipment so I'm not around much farm stuff down here in the sand pond 😅
That’s really cool how that all works. Do you have to remove the stops for harvesting?
Anybody that thinks farmers are idle when they aren't planting or harvesting are clueless.
Farming is a year round getting something done profession.
Why don’t you put double microswitches so if one fails, the other will shut it off for safety Big Ed coming to you from Central City Kentucky. Have a great day.
I’d love to watch your work, but I find the constant camera movement is unpleasant and gives me a sensation akin to motion sickness. I left this comment in the hope you’ll regard it as constructive criticism and not do not mean to be negative for the sake of it. I appreciate that a fixed camera will require regular adjustment and may be too intrusive and slow for you, so fully understand if you choose to ignore it. I’ll remain subscribed in the hope that you may be able to find a solution. Thank you and best wishes. 😊👍🏻
