Centrifugal filtering systems are quite common in eastern European equipment. They stem from Russian requirements for extremely basic field service under harsh conditions.
I worked at a Dealership in the early 2000s and they sold sold Zetor tractors and they used that type of filter. The JI Case 2870 used the Scania motor. You should check and see if the exhaust manifold off of one of them would fit. Case used the 11 liter/673 cu. 300 hp. motor.
I drove a MH Mack that had a Luberfiner Spin filter on it? Worked very well and we used a roll of toilet paper for the filter system. Yup, toilet paper!! Company I drove for had a lot of them at the time and never a problem with them. Thanks again for the great video sir. Always look forward to each and everyone.
That was very interesting Brandon. I hadn't realised that they were that unusual, as I've seen various forms of these on different equipment I'd serviced a long time ago. True most were Czech, Polish, etc, so knew they were oil filters, before I knew they were unusual (Ag tech for importer of E European tractors pre 90's). Thanks for the update. From UK.
I have a 03 pete 379 with a cat. I put a centrifugal oil filter on it. Its called a spinner 2 . It has a paper liner and 2 orings. They come in a kit. If I were you i would look in to finding the kit for that. They do work very good. I have replaced the internal parts only once. It's been on 3 different trucks.
Great video Brandon thanks for sharing. Back in the mid 90’s I had a Russian Belarus 562 four wheel drive tractor and it had an oil filter like that but no little spin on filter. It was a tuff old tractor no bells and whistles on it.
They also use centrifugal oil filters on massive container ship engines,,The oil filter is the same size as the engine in that truck,,,Mitsubishi make them,,Theres videos on YT of these being serviced ,,very interesting,,,
We have an 05 Mack that has a similar filter except you just change out the spinning cartridge. First time running it I thought something was coming apart
great video, always learn something new! the spinning filters traps very fine particles , versus the stationary type of filters. you can find very efficient items on the older units, because they were designed for longevity. take care, be safe and stay well! how is the progress on your home / shop coming?
Might be easier to braze the manifold than to find one in good shape.

Scania is produced i Sweden not norway.
Thanks for Great vids🌞

On the Liebherr haul trucks they use a paper liner for the sludge to build up on. Pretty cool system.
Pretty cool great video thanks Brandon and George

Scania/Saab also make some cool aircraft too!
You can line the inside of the housing with thick paper and it makes the next cleanup easier.
Very cool how that works!

Get some cast iron welding rods and while that manifold yourself
Where i work there is an excavating division that has a couple Bell haul trucks. Also near impossible to find parts according to the mechanics
That filter remines me of a cream seperator bowl

Scania is made in sweden 😉😊

I used to work for case most of your new construction equipment has scana engine's now
We have 2 (not sure what Scania engines they are) here in Oklahoma thats being used in oil fields
Saab-Scania 11.0L 6-cyl 300hp motors in the 4890 & 4894 and 14.2L 8-cyl 400hp in the 4994. Just a few I know of.
I live not far away from you.68 degree 2800 ac planted..it is indiana..not lol it might snow tomorrow
Pretty neat!!
Have you tried any of the used tractor parts dealers that may have a manifold for you
Case used a 6 cylinder engine in one of the tractors
