Here's the REAL thing about Milgauss. I've studied 9000+ digital watchfaces as a big data analyst. It's THE AVERAGE OF ALL THE BEST WATCHES with all these unique colors. You simply love it more than others unconsciously! And so, this design does drive artistry forwards.
I worked under a senior MRI field service technician when I first started my career and he wore a milgauss. He was extremely quirky and had been fixing these things longer than I had been alive. Even though most MRI systems are in the 1.5-3 Tesla range which far surpasses the anti magnetism of the milgauss, It is tool watch through and through that I thought was extremely fitting for him.
@@WatchCrunchOfficial this is the only Rolex I would be remotely interested in actually buying (save a good deal on a vintage or two). Too much baggage and hype otherwise…
Fun fact on Jan 6 th my son was born at 31 weeks premi and the same day I got the call from my AD offering me the milgauss , I was not able to pick it up the same day you guys understand why but 2 days later I was picking it up , this is the first Rolex I wanted I love the orange accent and I don’t think it is a coincidence that this watch holds the caliber 3131 I was born on a 13 myself and am an engineer by trade with a 63/4 inch wrist this suits me well
Love everything about this watch except the seconds hand. I had a choice between this Milgauss and 42MM Polar at my Rolex AD & chose the Polar instead. Currently looking to add the Milgauss especially since it discontinued and prices came back on earth lol. 5:03 My other watch is a 216334 AZZURO, Absolutely love Rolex watches and their history. My max is 3 watches as a collector truly enjoy wearing my watches daily.
I love my Milgauss, but I believe it’s now discontinued? It will be interesting if they decide to relaunch a new version, I love that lighting bolt seconds hand.
I'm waiting for my z-blue Milgauss over a year now, my AD told me it will still couple months more. I hope they will not discontinue it lest I will never get it... The blue one is the one I fell in love with.
I love it! I have a 20 year old Air King that fits me perfectly but the Milgauss is so eye catching. My biggest issue in getting a Rolex is that once I got a Zenith with the El Primero the Rolex is just not that interesting to me anymore. Well done video on showcasing the Milgauss!
I just bought the 2007 black dial, no numbers on the minute track, clear glass. I had my local AD polish it back to looking new. my other watches are resting now. this watch ran for 6 years.
I actually daily drive a Milgauss! I was lucky enough to be allocated one as my first Rolex last year - was meant to be for my 40th but arrived a year early; to which I'm thankful as it's now discontinued. Originally wanted the black, but I couldn't knock back the Z-Blue that was allocated to me. I wear it daily as my wife said since it cost that much, I'd better wear it...! Cool video btw, it's great to see the Milly finally getting some recognition. Edit: BTW the 3131 is 28,800vph, so an 8Hz movement not a 4Hz...

I have a Z-Blue Milgauss and love it. It's case shape is more rounded than some of the other professional Rolexes and it's all the more comfortable to wear as a result - you just don't notice the slight increase in height over other models. I was originally thinking of getting the subtle black dial/ regular crystal version but then managed to get a Z-Blue for less that RRP (don't hate me) before the markets when mad a few years ago. When light hits the dial from certain angles it's just a fab mix of gorgeous deep blue, orange details and a luminous halo of green - stunning. It's so unconventional and fun; it's the perfect anti-hero Rolex. :)
Radius and ulna are the lower arm bones. The wrist is comprised of 8 bones collectively called carpals. The bumps are the distal ends of the radius and ulna.
This is the Rolex I love ..Gives me Seattle supersonic vibes …I believe a blacked out version of the model was worn by Anthony Bourdain in Parts Unknown Seattle episode ….Looked ultra cool …But maybe it was the icon who wore it
It’s a polarising look and definitely not everyone’s cup of tea, personally I’d wear the blue dial, I think it looks great with the green crystal , great vid👌🏻

Took some time but I ended up wearing this watch on daily basis. It’s gorgeous. I wore it when my first son was born. I will gift him this watch someday.
I LOVE my Z-Blue Milgauss and am so glad honestly that it's been discontinued. The beautiful-yet-odd green crystal, the unmistakable orange lightning bolt... I dunno, I'm a 40 year old gamer and I feel like this watch reflects someone kinda nerdy like me, in the best of ways. 😂💯
I love my milgauss, it’s a 2013 that has both chromalight and superluminova. I got it because I work in the electric utilities industry and love the lightning bolt seconds hand
My fave Rolex is one of the early 50's Milgauss designs with the Submariner look, the patterned dial, rotating bezel and the red accents. Would be cool if they'd re-release that. I like the modern one somewhat, but I wouldn't want to own one.
Milgauss was THE Rolex made me like Rolex. Most of popular models were not exciting. Milgauss was a breath of fresh air, rebellious kid in a conservative family.
Great video! Excellent shots of the black Milgauss! I have the Z-blue one and it is certainly one of my most worn watches - one of my favorite watches ever in fact.
Facts about Rolex: until you have it, you have many hatred, disliking, disrespect about many design, measures, prices, lack of availability. As soon as you have one, you immediately start finding all good in that particular watch. Grass become greener, air becomes fresher, suddenly that particular model becomes the best Rolex among all models. The best Rolex? Daytona or Submariner. If you do not have access to them start liking the explorer to feed your appetite 😂
Well… it's ONE OF the thingS that make this watch special. That green crystal is (was) unique in the Rolex catalogue as is (was) the Faraday cage. Oh… and so is (was) the Z-Blue dial. The engraved & painted engraving of the case-type, crown & model name is (was) also fairly uncommon amongst Rolex watches. The GV Milgauss is the first watch I fell in LOVE with. I was 20yo in 2010 when I saw one in a cafe and couldn't stop looking at it. It took me 8 years of collecting (and some questionable choices) but I finally got one in 2018 and I added a non GV to the collection last year too! 😅 I will eventually get myself a 1019 ❤
I want to daily a blue milgauss as my first rolex. If the day comes I will also pick up a replacement green saphire as I fully intend to scratch and chip it.
That second hand bothers me. It comes out of the spindle at a right angle, then zigs left, zigs left again, and then has the arrowhead in line with the last zig. So basically, it's always pointing at the wrong second marker, and if it's pointing at the right second marker, it's running slow by its deviation. If they'd redesign the seconds hand so that it looks like it zigs left to get the hand back into alignment so it ultimately points at the correct second marker, I'd probably like this watch a whole lot more. Not enough to distract me from my all time favorite, the 116600, but still...
Bought it new being quirky enough to be a Rolex, liked it at first but quickly it went out of rotation, its thickness and the polished center links where a headache, traded it in with an AP ROO and glad I did .
I did buy one at retail from my AD in Aug of 2022. It's been my daily driver for (nearly) every day since then. About every six to eight weeks I wear my 2022 reference 126234 36mm stainless & white gold DateJust on a jubilee for a week just to make sure it remains in good running condition. I suppose I should do the same for my vintage 1680 Sub from 1977 (on a black leather Everest strap due to the "jangley" original oyster bracelet) but it's just such a pain to set the date… round-and-round she goes… argh! BTW, speaking of oyster bracelets, the one on the Milgauss with it's solid links and machined clasp is simply buttery smooth in its operation. It has a weight that compliments the cased watch. Whilst the whole may be a bit heavy (but only a bit… it's certainly easily handled), it is so well balanced that, once worn on the wrist, it's weight is negligible.
I wear one as my everyday watch, absolutely love it. Plus most people who notice it have nothing but great things to say about it. Maybe not for the purists, but I ain’t one so who cares. Occasionally I look around to see whats new that may tempt me away, but it still sits on my wrist every day.

Sucks but in 2017 I had money. My daughter and I happened into an AD where I showed her the green ringed Mil. The AD offered to sell it. My daughter said I should but I didn’t. Huge regret.
What about trying it on a Rubber B or Everest strap, Max? Assuming they make rubber straps for the Milgauss. It really changes the look of a watch, almost feels like another watch.

They discontinue the Milgauss and come out with a line of funky day-dates and lollipop OP. So who says Rolex doesn’t take risk? No surprise with killing the Milgauss. Milgauss demand has been pathetic before, even during the Watch boom in 2020/2021.
Hello Watch People! Great content definitely de Milgauss and The Explorer II are the last Rolex Models consider Tool Watches, Personally own a Explorer II is one of my favorites Watches in my collection
They did a lot more than just add a zero to the Air-King. New much improved case, added crown guards, new far superior movement and clasp as well. Let’s be fair at least.
Love the look of the Milgauss. Geeky yet classy. Needs a better movement though -- 48H power reserve and 1000G (given it's the watch''s raison d'être) are pretty poor.
Please keep the Milgauss unpopular. It is the only model that I have wished to have a Rolex for, and gotten the Z blue model. Settled, done, satisfied. Absolutely love it.

Ummm…. 😮
I actually like the milgauss I just didn't like the orange hand they're most likely I'd probably replace it and save it in the box and put something more traditional but that's just me
The only Rolex i ever wanted to buy and now finally got it in may 2024. Love it
One of the best-looking Rolexs. z blue
RIP the Milgauss...
Watch Crunch has become my favorite watch channel on TH-cam.
Woohoo!!!
The mil is super cool I just wish it had something on the bezel.
Dunno whats more disappointing the enthusiast or Rolex if a dog like Milgauss is the only enthusiast watch in its line up.
They did a lot more than just add a zero to the Air-King. New much improved case, added crown guards, new far superior movement and clasp as well.
Let’s be fair at least.
Max crunchy we need you to share your scopes zombie watch and plunder products
What about the Explorer?
I would argue the vintage OysterQuartz is an enthusiast piece, as well...
2:55 "But, guys, do me a quick favor; tap that 'like' button below if you're on Team Milgauss. If not, tap it three times."
You sneaky shyster, you
😁
You dig it. I dig it. So of course they killed it off. (Apparently.)
Well the Milgauss is no more. What happens now?
Love the look of the Milgauss. Geeky yet classy. Needs a better movement though -- 48H power reserve and 1000G (given it's the watch''s raison d'être) are pretty poor.
Please keep the Milgauss unpopular. It is the only model that I have wished to have a Rolex for, and gotten the Z blue model. Settled, done, satisfied. Absolutely love it.
