I still sing the theme from the Patty Duke show to my cat because he is the only one who will put up with it! “She really loves to rock ‘n roll a hot dog makes her loose control.....”. Thanks for the memory. 🙂

I have, in an appropriately sized brown envelope, the Northern toilet paper prints you said were given free. I never really knew much about them. At 19:00, I inherited from my folks that brown glass piece that someone once told me was a brandy snifter, which would be an odd gift since they didn't drink alcohol. You discussed the item to the left of it, however.
Oh George, just subscribed to your u tube channel. Can’t wait to see some of your other videos, really interesting and like listening to your calm voice. You can tell you love what you do. Take care, stay safe😷
The bust of the women in wax is so beautiful and delicate love the red casserole n salt n pepper as usual, very neat the bookends. Like moon face bauble. The standard lamp is fabulous, Love lazy Susan’s, dint get them much here. Yes that last piece of mirror n silver wall art was well worth the money. Must put Southport on my tour list when we can come to the USA
I missed the live premiere. (Don’t think I got notified like I usually do.). I always enjoy your videos & learning about vintage items. The TV games reminded me I have a “The Nurses” TV game that my parents bought for me when they went to the 1964 World’s Fair in NYC.
You show us so many interesting items, George. Your knowledge is very impressive. You have a way of handling items gently. How in the world do you lift large glass items with lids one-handed while holding the lid securely and video taping?!?!
I’m in awe of the wax lady under the dome. That made my day. I have my grandmothers tree topper from Germany with a wax head. What was the cost on the one you saw? I saw my great grandmothers moose creamer in the case! Thank you so much dear George.
I think the wax head was $225 or $245, and I thought well worth it! I rarely see them anymore. I liked the moose creamer to the right center, it was a little heftier and more squat than most I've seen. I'm glad this triggered good memories! The wax head topper sounds fantastic
WOW WOW WOW AWESOME things ...... lovely things ...didn't know how time flies....was ENJOYING the video ....but alas !!!! Suddenly came to an end ....oh NO ..... I want to see more ..more n more . Stay cool N HAPPY n Healthy and ENJOY With Love from SAM Guwahati Assam INDIA
Hello. I just subscribed. My friend Leith sent me. Unfortunately she was banned for hate speach. I have been talking to her and that's why I am here. She asks that you continue her membership, please charge the account for when she gets back. If she gets back. I can't imagine what she said. She doesn't have a channel but she is very political. I won't get into that as I don't want to get banned. Anywho she sends her love!!! Also the crazy lamp lady was just talking about you on her show, she's really neat too. So far I love you most of all!
Hi, Lisa! Tell Leith we're glad to hear things are okay with her. Crazy Lamp Lady is very cool and I'm flattered that she likes my channel, I sure enjoy hers
Speaking of ewers...I just sold a set of English majolica ewers to the set of The Gilded Age that’s going to be on HBO! I thinks it’s kind of like a spin off of Downton Abbey.
Born in the 60's and made it through the 80's needless to say I do love the Hair bands from that era. My preferred choice of music too. Love that Fenton ruffled vase that is just beautiful. Have a great day and safe travels
George- I would be interested in buying one of those little rooster pitchers like you have in the thumbnail.. the one you showed in the antique mall was quite nice! Vibrant colors and the pain was in great condition. If you come across one in your travels, I would be interested in purchasing!
I realize I am seeing this video past day 1, but George did you know why there are so many wardrobes made in our past? I was given this information by by someone who was sharing information about why either antique or vintage residential construction only included minimal rooms. What do you think? Sherry from Alabama.
I've heard a number of theories, one being that a closet makes a room a bedroom which brought about higher taxes, but a wardrobe turned a "non-bedroom" into a closet. However, I think Tim Hazeltine has it right, it just wasn't a part of residential construction, probably because it required extra materials and families grew large in size and wanted more flexibility in room arrangement
@@TheAntiqueNomad George, your'e correct regarding taxes. In some areas the presence of closets and doors affected tax rates, so a room didn't qualify as a bedroom for tax purposes if it did not have a door. So some people used curtains instead of doors. And until very recently, a room without a closet was not considered a bedroom.
There were a lot of interesting items there. Some of them not exactly in my line of collecting interest, but it was fantastic learning about them all the same. I have a complete set of the Wade nursery rhyme figures...including the gingerbread man. I really like the Howard Finster clock, too. I like the Kelly menus, too. I want the Ideal futuristic Buick!😂 The decanter set next to the Georges Briard glasses really caught my eye. Loved that set. I agree with you 100% about the things that can still be ordered from a catalog being in an antique mall. Makes me a bit nuts to see that. Great video as always!!! Looking forward to the Wednesday premier!!! Thanks!!!
I saw such a different variety here in some ways, not a lot of true antiques which surprised me for the Midwest, but very much variety of toys, games, etc.! I did like the Howard Finster story. The Buick and the Kelly menus were the most interesting to me too
Great video George! Thanks for sharing!

Great fun!
I'm glad, it was fun for me to show you!
I was so in love with those northern tissue girl posters.
We had all of them in my home when I was 8. I haven't seen them since then.
They were cute! A lot ended up in kids' rooms so lots of us remember them now
Thanks for tell us the history of the thing you found today. It was very interesting.

Oh yes, the amber glass snifter is an Empoli piece from 1970s Italy

Good video George, and yes Warrant does still have a following. Thanks for moving the camera somewhat slow. Take care, and stay safe.
Thanks, I heard that from a few friends of mine after I released this as well! I'm trying to make it a little easier to keep up with the video...
Im am obsessed with Roseville, love the flowers & pine cone. Something about the matte glaze & colors. Yum!

Shoot! I don't know why that happened. I haven't seen a Nurses game in ages
Didn't know about Howard Finster pieces. Might have thought it was just some random crafter had I seen similar. Thanks for pointing that name out.
It turns out he illustrated a lot of stuff as well. He was new to me too!
Love watching yr videos George. So interesting, colorful and educational. I should be paying tuition!
Well, your support just by being here is tremendous!

That's a good question! I like Floridays because it relates to where I spend winters, but it's really his illustrations that get me most of all
