My two favorite craft N/A beers are Kit NA and Athletic. For me the top five NA beers that I've had over the course of my recent 6 month break from drinking were in no particular order: On Your Mark by Kitt NA, Clausthaler, Heineken .0.0, Fest Brew by Athletic, and Stella Artois Liberté. I haven't tried the Coors Edge yet so I might have to pick some of that up.
Another enjoyable comparison. Just had a Stella N/A out of a bottle last night so couldn’t get the full effect. I have a Sierra Nevada Trail Pass N/A IPA and Guinness 0 in the fridge for the playoffs tonight. They all lack that “something” but for Dry January they get me through. The good news is I have a keg each of home brewed Alt and Kölsch for Feb 1st! Thanks Nate!
Nate, as soon as the cameras stopped rolling; “GET ME A JULIUS, STAT!!!” As for the NA stuff, Two Roads actually has a very good offering. Their non-alcoholic Hazy Juicy IPA is a great dry January option.
Totally agree. Two Roads is the closest yet but it’s quite possible it’s an impossible pursuit. I would be very curious to hear your expert opinion if you ever do get a chance to try it.
Bud zero is cheap and easy to find in cans, so I keep it around for weekdays when I just want an itch scratcher. I’ve had the Heineken, and think it’s better than the Budweiser, but I can only find it in glass six packs and the improvement isn’t worth the price. I’ll have to keep an eye out for the Coors.
Cool video, learned a lot ! Been drinking NAs lately to switch it up.. Treehouse needs to make one next🙏🏻 and f that low calorie bs… need a hazy Julius as is just without the alcohol 🍻
Regular Corona is bad, especially as it warms up, so no surprise. Clear bottle beers spoil more easily? Myself, only tried cold, prefer Becks slightly over Heineken. Both still have a slight sweetness that I dont like, but this is a compromise. I have been drinking both before January when I was going to holiday events and had to drive. My favorite, when I can get it, Sierra Nevada Trail Pass NA IPA.
I've done dry January for a few years now. This is the first time I decided to try NA beers. The first thing I noticed (and reason I'll never buy them again) is the lack of body and mouthfeel. I don't need a buzz, but I don't want to taste like someone poured a shot of beer into a glass of water. The craft NA beers are the same. But it was interesting to try them!
I am on day 15 of Dry Hopped January🍻and really enjoying it🌴You guys need to brew your biggest dry Hopped beer ever for next January and call it Dry Hopped January🍻LFG😂🍻
Would you say that lowering the temperature by putting these in a freezer for an hour would change your opinion? I know that changes the flavor of regular beers, curious if that would even work for non-alcoholic stuff.
really dig Lagunitas Hop Water. The agave nectar in Bubble Hops is really distracting - at least it was in early iterations. Some of the fruited Bubbles worked pretty well but didn't scratch the itch for a hoppy product. Motueka was by far my favorite non-fruited iteration and was the one that had any semblance of green hop character as opposed to vague fruity hop expression. @@treehousebrewco
Hello Nate, Thanks for the video, it was very interesting and funny. I have a question about the regulations in the USA. Does 0.0 really mean 0 or is there some tolerance in the measurement? For example in EU 0.0 means that it would be from 0.0% to 0.05% (not to be confused with 0.5%) because of the tolerance of the test. Would appreciate your answer.
I think I’ll stick with damp January. Not dry, but cut back in both quantity and strength. Nate put up a good face, but clearly it wasn’t as fun as others you’ve done!😊
What I would love is if Treehouse started making something similar to HopWtr. A hoppy seltzer WITH Nootropics and Adaptogens. I love drinking them more now as I don’t consume as much beer anymore. And if Treehouse made them I’d be a weekly customer. Just sayin!
Heineken 0.0 is the best I've had when comparing to it's counterpart. If you guys did a non alcohol IPA it would take over the world. All of the non alcohol IPAs on the market taste...not so good.
Non Alcoholic drinks are just sad. When I see someone drinking these my mind just goes damn they must have had a real alcohol problem. Haha 😂 Like “damn it honey, I told you it’s not beer there’s no alcohol, it just cost the same price!”
"You are trying to make a thing that lacks the thing that makes the thing enjoyable" 🍻
i think i got that out right 🤣
To be fair, not for people who have a drinking problem! Lol.
I haven’t missed a single video since you started putting them out. Keep any and every bit of content flowing!
Thanks! Will do!
Nothing beats Athletic Brewing for widely available NA beer. Guinness 0 is pretty good too.
Na that coors edge is better than anything athletic makes
@@NewEnglandDiscGolfPirate I couldn't disagree more
Love this series because Nate seems so reasonable and non-pretentious given his status as a master brewer. Dude just appreciates all things beer!
thanks for saying that - we understand a lot of folks like a lot of different things for a lot of different reasons, even if they aren't for us.
Ive been doing dry January by only drinking dry stout and thats been working great for me
right on
So.... coffee?
I appreciate the sacrifices you make in the name of science.
Morning Nate. You are a true diplomat. For the record, I will NOT be dry in January. A steady flow of Treehouse IPA will be flowing.
Athletic Brewing makes the best NA beers. Guinness 0.0 is also pretty solid. Should try those out! They’re actually drinkable
The video I didn’t know I needed but so so glad I now have
Would love to see Nate do craft N/A "beers".
Yes, I love the Brewdog N/As!
Athletic Brewing!

Harmon's are incredible.
I concur like athletic brewery na beer

Love that you're co-promoting Ted's. As a Charlton resident, it makes me feel warm and fuzzy
Ted’s ♥️
I’d love to see your thoughts on some other other big NA brands. Guinness, Sam Adams, Sierra Nevada.
Coors makes some pretty good beer! Cheers 🍻.
The best low alcohol beer I've had is Kaliber by Guiness, St Pauli Girl NA, and Clausthaler light and dark.
Great idea with these! Love all the videos. Cheers from AZ 🍺
Thank you! Cheers!
I mostly gave up alcohol and started drinking NA beer in social settings. Ice cold Corona is my favorite of the macros. Athletic is the best though.
curious to see this done with German NA's. Always tasted the best to me
Which one?
Thank you for your test. I noted that some of 0,0% alcohol have no yeast in their ingredients... can we still call them beer?
maybe malt beverage
Heineken 0.0% is becoming quite popular here in Thailand. It is the same price as the normal version and, in my opinion, tastes better.
Now for a test of the craft na beers. Boldly going
Nate, as soon as the cameras stopped rolling; “GET ME A JULIUS, STAT!!!” As for the NA stuff, Two Roads actually has a very good offering. Their non-alcoholic Hazy Juicy IPA is a great dry January option.
i will have to try it. i have yet to try an na beer that is sufficient and i’m not sure it’s possible. cauliflower will never be mashed potatoes
Totally agree. Two Roads is the closest yet but it’s quite possible it’s an impossible pursuit. I would be very curious to hear your expert opinion if you ever do get a chance to try it.

i struggle with them also
Sober Carpenter's Black IPA limited edition is the best non-alcoholic beer I have found so far.
I am on day 15 of Dry Hopped January🍻and really enjoying it🌴You guys need to brew your biggest dry Hopped beer ever for next January and call it Dry Hopped January🍻LFG😂🍻

Another great video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I really enjoy your videos! Side note: he seems like a cool guy! Keep the videos coming.
I appreciate that!
Lucky Saint all the way (apart from a Hazy IPA I once had from Two Roots)
Would love if you guys tried Athletic Brewing beer, they are my goto for NA beer
I bought a 6er of the new Sierra Nevada NA and man is it BAD, to date the best one is Athletic brewing for craft NA.
Many folks like the Heine 0.0. i enjoyed it. Will have to find rhe Coors. Athletic is good. Guinness 0 is very enjoyable.
Yeah, Coors edge is the best I've had
Would love to see you try Hairless Dog IPA
Ive had Heiniken 0 and thought it wasnt bad for what it was. My favorite non-alcoholic beer is Lagunitas Hop water.
the lagunitas hop water was super strange when I tried it. will have to revisit.

non-alcoholic is up to .5% and alcohol free is 0.0%
Wished you would have added in Clausthaler. I also found Stella to be closer to Heineken.
In this sampling the Stella could not have been further away from the Heineken. It's always tough to know how it's handled!
Next you should taste the Athletic Brewing non alcoholic beers. they are a more craft beer and personally I think they taste pretty good.
damn that pullover is fresh.
I think I’ll stick with damp January. Not dry, but cut back in both quantity and strength. Nate put up a good face, but clearly it wasn’t as fun as others you’ve done!😊
People usually like Clausthaler, O'douls and sometimes Becks the most when it comes to fake beer
Woah, now when is that snazzy "Core-3" tri-brid jacket coming out? 😅😎 Looks super comfy as well! 🔥
It’s available now
Bitburger NA best since hop selection blows everything away

noted. we enjoy the LXR energy drinks. always branching out.
Would love to see one where nate judges homebrew! Pick a style and have ppl send em in
We are working on this
@treehousebrewco awesome. Would love to send something in for feedback! Cheers and thanks for the awesome vids as always
Would be cool to do some popular local brews. May not be the smartest business idea, though. Lol
Heineken 0.0% is my go to, but I'm a native (I can even still remember Freddy being kidnapped...).
Heineken 0.0 in a can is my compromise when I want something other than water, but need to stay dry.
I want to try January-Julius
Guinness Zero is pretty tasty for a N/A beer
Thumbnail game strengthening..... 😂
Where can I buy the Mighty Ducks style quarter zip?!!
we have them in our retail stores
Why not go for cans and limit the packaging variable?
Please try to make an NA beer yourselves!!
How did you forget O'Doul's? That's the original and the most famous NA beer, and possibly the worst too.
I only drink "dry" beers for dry january. Fg 1010 and under. 😂
good philosophy for most of life tbh
Heineken zero was ok, maybe better than regular
the banana note threw me off for sure. Definitely well made for what it is but I wouldn’t want that all the time
I had a similar thought. Why is it better than their normal brew? 😅
Nate could you redo this video with non alcoholic offerings from Athletic Brewing!
No tricks
unfortunately... tricks make it fun for me. Michael will get back at me, I'm sure
Heineken 0.0 is the best I've had when comparing to it's counterpart. If you guys did a non alcohol IPA it would take over the world. All of the non alcohol IPAs on the market taste...not so good.
It could have been interesting comparing three NA vs regular to pick a favorite family!
Reasons I'm not doing Dry January...
I don't want to
Best reason
No surprise Treehouse inclusion?
michael is keeping me on my toes!
What’s the point of this? If you decide to stop
Drinking, stop drinking. You drink alcohol free, you will want the real thing soon enough
Heiny Zero is tasty! Coors Edge 🤢
it was better on this day. ultimately more refreshing. the Heineken would have likely been an easy winner without the banana note.
First!!!!
Damn it Nate just be honest and say how bad these all stink.
I thought that I did, hah. They were all rough except for the Coors and the Heineken. Even still, none are for me.
Non Alcoholic drinks are just sad. When I see someone drinking these my mind just goes damn they must have had a real alcohol problem. Haha 😂
Like “damn it honey, I told you it’s not beer there’s no alcohol, it just cost the same price!”
