That's because yall using the inconsistent version. If you cut Survival of the Fittest and Guardian Animals you have 4 cards in deck that activate your combo: 2x Primordial Protector and 2x Celestial Alignment. I would also argue that Survival and Guardian Animals are not even particularly strong in this deck; for 1 mana, N'zoth, Y'shaarj, Carnival Clown etc are stronger.

I'm trying this deck right now but with some tweaks : only one wild growth, one innervate, two survival of the fittest and a Lone champion (for surviving early). It's completly bananas. By the way, a second Celestial alignement can be pretty fun just to reset opponent mana to 1, after filling your board with big minions... if he don't have a 1 card wipe it's GG.
I agree with cutting back on the ramp, it's important to have cards/draw in hand when you play the alignment to make the most of it. Ramping there too quickly or drawing into dead ramp cards ruins the payoff.
If you pinged three times after wildfire, you dealt the same damage as frostbolt. If that was any good, people would've been playing odd mage back in the baku days. So essentially think of it as a combo deck that doesn't draw and has a whatever payoff.

That's what I tried to tell someone else on the star rating video who was going on about how Trump is definitively wrong about Hero Power mage being 1 star since he thinks paying 2 mana for do nothing until three turns later get frost bolt value is absolutely busted. Mordrech is at best a finisher against aggro but aggro will kill you long before Mordrech if you go for 2 mana do nothing. The only good card is the 4 mana ping everything and even that is decent at best.

Celestial, what a fun deck. If it works as intended the opponent just quits immediately, because it's over. So the gameplay experience of the deck is playing some ramp cards / early defensive cards / praying. Great design. Fun and interactive and all that.
Run Clockwork Giant to have something to play when you celestial. Basically acts like playing strongman on a survival turn if your opponent has at least one card
Juicy sadly only tutors minions, but it can certainly still see play as part of a combo. I don't see it being as good as the Aviana/Kun combo, but it does have a lot of potential.
Something-something, watch posts so good, all of them in every deck, which meant that "increase mana cost by 1" watch post fits perfectly for corrupting them clowns at 1 mana.
Something about the Flamestrike buff really bothers me. I think it's just that Flamestrike dealing 4 damage was always plenty powerful, but now it has to deal 5 damage just to be even close to as unfair as many newer cards. It's just power creep in a particularly visible way.
you can corrupt them before Celestial goes off if you're really unlucky I guess. Typically you would run that minion that reduces the cost of your first taunt minion each turn by two if you wanted to corrupt it after Celestial but that's too slow and just bad
You can trap people early game too with watch posts and drop Kargal after celestial allignment. I personally run all since its only 7 cards and they all help the cause
If a Rogue has the dirty tricks secret up and Efficient Octo bot is damaged by an enemy’s spell does the Octo bots frenzy activate after dirty trick’s draw or before?
I believe the way Hearthstone usually works is if something is "When your opponent casts a spell" it will resolve before the opponent's spell resolves, but if it's "After your opponent casts a spell" it'd go after things like deathrattle and frenzy. The game isn't always consistent though, and I might be remembering wrong, so definitely something to test.
Why not play lightning bloom instead of innervate? With bloom, after you set everything to 1 mana cost it at least gives you an extra mana crystal unlike innervate which becomes a dead card.
There is a chance where you play Malygos after the first celestial to make a huge board and play the 2mana 3/2 that makes your opponent spells cost 1more with the second celestial. Sounds very disgusted high role.
The most broken part of this deck isn't celestial alignment, it's the second celestial alignment. the first one gives you a huge board, the second one makes it so they literally have 1 mana to answer it or die. This deck might not be "good", but it looks high-rolly and incredibly unfun to face if they draw hot; it's basically not a game in those scenarios.

You always put two copies of the deck defining card into the deck if you can, even if that one card would do nothing the second time.
