This angers me...I was a single momma for 17 years of 3 kiddos...I worked 3 jobs to make sure my kids had a nice home always. We struggled, but I made it happen for them. They are now adults who are doing very well in life.

I worked for that propane company they have there, part of my job was collecting overdue accounts, I absolutely hated it. Walking on to peoples property and giving them ultimatums is just a recipe for trouble. I had knives pulled on me, people answering doors with shotguns, threatening to beat me up, getting cussed out, getting lectured on how them owing money was not a big deal, etc etc. I quit that sht company, they literally begged me to come back as I was the only one that knew where all their customers were.

If you're late on a payment and they have to repo it, that's not stolen property. To steal something means to take it without asking. If you sign a contract and they have to repo it, it is not theft.
Sorry to say, if they are living in it, it's a home and they have to be evicted. You unfortunately have no legal right to take it until you go through the courts. Only a judge can do this for you. It doesn't matter if they are trash or not. So just a contract does not allow you to enter private property and take someone's home, in this case.
Don't know about foster kids but I know someone who works only part time few hours a week for just a few weeks or months out of the whole year intentionally just enough to have a few taxes withheld from a paycheck and meet income threshold for maximum benefit of claiming earned income credit so when tax time comes she can claim that EIC for all her kids and get a $20k plus refund check while living off government benefits the whole time. 😮

Not knowing her whole situation but. If you make a certain amount of income you qualify for earned income credit and in my situation got 3500 back on my taxes with 2 children. I think it’s double that now with 3 kids now. Just part of the tax code.
@@MsLori1973 when my children were little if I made about 13 grand and I could get back about 2300 extra over what I paid in taxes. Basically 0 in taxes and get back and get 2300. That amount has gone up over the years. More kids more money also. But you have to actually have an income to get that money. If you only made 3 or 4 grand you would only get a fraction of that. If you made more than the 13 grand you will get less. Not sure what the amounts are now. But it’s called earned income tax credit. Part of the tax code that benefits millions of lower income folks. May even keep a lot of children from starving to death. I know it helped me. That extra money I invested in tools and equipment that helped me earn more money. What one might refer as lifting me out of poverty. I raised 2 children on my own with no help from their mother. Not like I could work a full time job and take on raising 2 children at the same time.

My mom was very overweight like 300lbs 4' 6" but she baby sat then my dad left as he was supporting the family of 5 kids we shared bedrooms 3 boys 2 females we shared bedrooms as each one moved out we got more room But every bedroom was larger then that shed. This is bad on many levels. I feel so bad for the kids. We have Americans with kids living like this and yet we have thousands of illegals set up in high end hotels with credit cards and medical. The cost of rent in this country has gotten out of hand. I grew up poor and sometimes lived in a truck camper……I was not abused and wished we had more money but glad we had each other…..Times have changed and we own houses and drive new cars.
Right, I grew up very poor. My mother and father had 9 of us, (and trust me it wasn’t for tax returns) we lived in a house my dad built, no running water, no electricity. We had an outhouse and got our water from a spring. We always dreamed of bigger things but we were happy. And our biggest fear was being taken away from our parent because “people” thought because we lived different we were neglected. We were loved, and we grew up fine. My youngest sibling is now 36. In my opinion this video is sad because low blowing someone is a sign you are losing and low blowing is the only thing you have left to try and make yourself out to be better when you aren’t.
I lost almost everything in one of those big PG&E fires in California. At least I saved my biggest treasure of all - my life. I now live in a 24' travel trailer, no water. no electricity, in the desert, 25 miles from town. That many children living in this sized tiny house plus possibly 2 adults... no no no " Then at the wrap up of the end Did you see what is on the outside front porch? An assisted bedside potty chair... smh exposed to all of the outside weather and absolutely no privacy unbelievable.... There is a reason they did not want him to see inside. I would have called the locals for a definite "Welfare Check. for all of those babies." I would not have been able to live with myself if something happened to them. With the concerns you voiced about the children - if you do not call child protection services - then you become part of the problem - call the responsible authorities and hope these children can escape what appears to be abuse ..
I believe your comment is spot on. Rather than engaging those people in a back and forth conversation, the police should have been notified and let the authorties follow up on that deplorable situation. After that would be the time to look into picking up the building.
Here in KY everyone is obligated to report neglect abuse etc. yes CPS needs to be called ASAP there is not enough sq. Footage in that bldg to house 6+ people. I had to call CPS in one of the families I worked with in my job. I was scared even though you can do it anonymously but I knew I did the right thing. The children were removed from the home and placed with family where they were bathed fed and had a more enjoyable life. Josh and Sarah call you will feel better doing the right thing. I know you are out of the repo business and I can see why. But an update on this situation would be nice. God Bless you both.

Repossession is like a Mexican standoff sometimes. I worked doing repo's when I got out of the Army. It can be brutal. Folks think they own the item they fail to make payments on. Putting up fences and gates and keep out signs is all a sign they are crooked. 5 or 6 kids growing up like that will produce more of the same in the future. You may find yourself trying to repo a shed from one of their kids in years to come. If that place caught fire and those children perished, heaven forbid, you'd feel guilty for not reporting this situation. Do the right thing and turn this welp into authorities. At least, then, it won't be on you if nothing is done.

We had family friends that lived a mile up the road from us. They lived in an old barn. Wood heat, rainwater collection water and outhouse. My parents helped them a little but the parents were not intrested in working. This was the 70s , 80s and early 90s so maybe that was more acceptable then. Some of the kids turned out bad others turned out great and overcome the situation.
The usual when I get money. Call the sheriffs and child welfare to come out. Then we’ll see who is in the right. Especially if she has no home for the kids to live in.

Not knowing her whole situation but. If you make a certain amount of income you qualify for earned income credit and in my situation got 3500 back on my taxes with 2 children. I think it’s double that now with 3 kids now. Just part of the tax code.

@@MsLori1973 when my children were little if I made about 13 grand and I could get back about 2300 extra over what I paid in taxes. Basically 0 in taxes and get back and get 2300. That amount has gone up over the years. More kids more money also. But you have to actually have an income to get that money. If you only made 3 or 4 grand you would only get a fraction of that. If you made more than the 13 grand you will get less. Not sure what the amounts are now. But it’s called earned income tax credit. Part of the tax code that benefits millions of lower income folks. May even keep a lot of children from starving to death. I know it helped me. That extra money I invested in tools and equipment that helped me earn more money. What one might refer as lifting me out of poverty. I raised 2 children on my own with no help from their mother. Not like I could work a full time job and take on raising 2 children at the same time.

This is bad on many levels. I feel so bad for the kids. We have Americans with kids living like this and yet we have thousands of illegals set up in high end hotels with credit cards and medical. I grew up poor and sometimes lived in a truck camper……I was not abused and wished we had more money but glad we had each other…..Times have changed and we own houses and drive new cars.
Looks like a much better life than I had. At least they have parents and a roof over their heads.
Right, I grew up very poor. My mother and father had 9 of us, (and trust me it wasn’t for tax returns) we lived in a house my dad built, no running water, no electricity. We had an outhouse and got our water from a spring. We always dreamed of bigger things but we were happy. And our biggest fear was being taken away from our parent because “people” thought because we lived different we were neglected. We were loved, and we grew up fine. My youngest sibling is now 36.
In my opinion this video is sad because low blowing someone is a sign you are losing and low blowing is the only thing you have left to try and make yourself out to be better when you aren’t.
I lost almost everything in one of those big PG&E fires in California. At least I saved my biggest treasure of all - my life. I now live in a 24' travel trailer, no water. no electricity, in the desert, 25 miles from town. This ordeal has taught me several very important lessons, including: The richest man isn't the man that has the most. It's the man that needs the least.

That many children living in this sized tiny house plus possibly 2 adults... no no no " Then at the wrap up of the end Did you see what is on the outside front porch? An assisted bedside potty chair... smh exposed to all of the outside weather and absolutely no privacy unbelievable.... There is a reason they did not want him to see inside. I would have called the locals for a definite "Welfare Check. for all of those babies." I would not have been able to live with myself if something happened to them. With the concerns you voiced about the children - if you do not call child protection services - then you become part of the problem - call the responsible authorities and hope these children can escape what appears to be abuse ..
I believe your comment is spot on. Rather than engaging those people in a back and forth conversation, the police should have been notified and let the authorties follow up on that deplorable situation. After that would be the time to look into picking up the building.

Here in KY everyone is obligated to report neglect abuse etc. yes CPS needs to be called ASAP there is not enough sq. Footage in that bldg to house 6+ people. I had to call CPS in one of the families I worked with in my job. I was scared even though you can do it anonymously but I knew I did the right thing. The children were removed from the home and placed with family where they were bathed fed and had a more enjoyable life. Josh and Sarah call you will feel better doing the right thing.

Repossession is like a Mexican standoff sometimes. I worked doing repo's when I got out of the Army. It can be brutal. Folks think they own the item they fail to make payments on. Putting up fences and gates and keep out signs is all a sign they are crooked. 5 or 6 kids growing up like that will produce more of the same in the future. You may find yourself trying to repo a shed from one of their kids in years to come. If that place caught fire and those children perished, heaven forbid, you'd feel guilty for not reporting this situation. Do the right thing and turn this welp into authorities. At least, then, it won't be on you if nothing is done.

We had family friends that lived a mile up the road from us. They lived in an old barn. Wood heat, rainwater collection water and outhouse. My parents helped them a little but the parents were not intrested in working. This was the 70s , 80s and early 90s so maybe that was more acceptable then. Some of the kids turned out bad others turned out great and overcome the situation.
