- Join me on my first Harald Baldr style market hunt! In this video I visit Pool market, near Camborne Cornwall. I set out to find mystical wolf garments, but along the way I meet the eccentric friendly characters who are the shopkeepers of this timeless local treasure. This is a hidden cultural gem of Cornwall, hardly visited by all but the true locals. You won’t forget some of the wonderful people I meet!

Haven't been to Pool Market for 25 years. It used to be a busy place. Not now by the looks of it.

It’s a treasure trove!
I remember going there as a kid and the place was packed with stools!. It even had its own in-store music production with the DJ shouting out the deals for different stools and doing music request.

This was fantastic. I'm impressed that anyone can make a 25 minute video about Pool Market. 🤣 It's only down the road from me - last time we went, a lot of the retailers weren't there. I assume the pandemic has hit them hard. There's also plans for that whole area to be built on, apparently. I'm not sure if the market itself is going, but I've heard that the land has been earmarked for housing, like a lot of the Heartlands land is now.

Pool market is not as good as it used to be. You use to be able to find really obscure things, I actually found two little model tanks in pool market ,something really obscure, just before COVID hit. But now its just a few things.
a question.....in cornwall, is Pool pronounced as Pole, Paul, or Pewl
