I actually like, that you are not talking much about Floor's singing. I mean it is a given, that Floor sounds great about 100% of the time. I guess she has to. If not, thousands of fans would travel to Sweden with chicken soup, gough drops, grandma's secert cold medicine and what not.
This is usually not a song I tear up to, but you got me this time.

@KingKokos Just check some of the older videos on Floor's TH-cam, you can watch her build a fence for her horses, meet her cat and get an idea how beautiful the area is, where they live.

Ignore them. Take a look around you at your fellow concert goers. They're the ones right there with you, in the moment, feeling the music. The dudes in matching t-shirts are just there for a paycheck. They mean nothing. If someone makes fun of a human being for having feelings, there's something terribly broken inside them. That moment when Floor strides out onto the stage - she owns the place and she knows it. Confidence/charisma off the charts like the goddess she is.
Tuomas' compositions are always stunning. No one else writes like this. This one in particular turns on a dime with power, precision and majesty. Shudder before the beautiful indeed.

I knew you were going to LOVE this song, Tank. It totally rocks! I'm glad you appreciated the dueling solo. For me, that's the highlight of the song and I'm surprised how few Reactors even mention it. Your analysis of the instruments and stage effects are awesome and greatly appreciated by folks, like me, who don't know squat about those types of things. Very, very, interesting.

Thank you for this reaction, once again you totally killed it. Hopefully there'll soon be a time when we all get to hear that opening song and go absolutely nuts!!

I love that you use your tech experience in your reactions. Especially with Nightwish that always has so much going on. I feel that most reactors mainly focus on just lead vocals. Now if that was a reaction for a solo artist, that could be ok. But since Nightwish is a whole band of awesomeness, it's nice with someone that give them some well deserved attention as well. Thank you @TankTheTech 🙏❤️

I was there, we went from zero to lightspeed in seconds - this video does not show how crazy the crowd were - singing and clapping on Floor's lead. It is one of the top 3 greatest Nightwish concert I have been at - I believe we were 12.000 - 14.000 in the crowd, singing along and the sound pressure were gigantic also from the crowd.
    Mind blowing

I agree, I was there to. After 3 seconds we go nuts and crazy 🤪. Luckily we aren't the only one because all the crowd are going loose !!! When we drove back after the show to the hotel nobody can talk again, we're all lost our voice. The best show I've ever seen 😍.

can't tell if anyone's answered this yet, but at around 10:25 - that sound effect. If it's in the orchestral backing track, it's probably an "anvil." In quotes bc while it's a pretty common effect in percussion parts, people don't generally use an actual anvil. A piece of tube steel is far more common, to get a similar sound to an anvil being struck with much more dynamic control. Plus you don't have to lug around an anvil & hammer.

I watch a ton of music reaction channels and you’re not ONE of my favorites. You ARE my favorite reaction channel. I really enjoy your reactions. Especially the Nightwish ones, and especially your reactions to both versions of The Islander. Nightwish became my new favorite band shortly after I started listening to them about 6 years ago. I look forward to seeing more of your reactions.

One small note to leave you with as well. Knowing that music can cause you to well up is such a wonderful feeling. I hope you never, ever let anyone tell you otherwise. You know with my condition I have a hard time connecting emotionally to things but I legit ugly cry a lot of times when I hear Floor's voice. Whatever moves you.......treasure it.

Hey Tank! So the almighty TH-cam algorithm recommended to me this video yesterday, and after watching it I just had to go all the way back to your Ghost Love Score reaction, and I just binged all of your NW reactions up until this one. I see that you have lots more, but this seemed the moment to leave this comment.
First of all, I love the unique perspective that you, as a roadie, bring to your reactions. There are tons of vocal coaches and regular folks reacting, but your technical commentary is so interesting and something I haven’t seen anywhere else, and I love that.
But the thing I love the most is that we, as viewers, get to share with you this discovery journey you’ve undertaken. The way you react emotionally to these songs feels so genuine, so real, to me. I started my own Nightwish discovery journey last May (still am on it tbh) thanks to another reaction video, and… well, my friends aren’t metalheads, so I haven’t been able to share this with anyone. But you, you seem to feel pretty much how I feel about these masterpieces, and that’s pretty special.
So, I just had to subscribe, lol. Once I’m done with the Nightwish reactions I’m gonna check the Sabaton ones and then the rest of your channel. Keep up the good work!

I'd love to see you react to the documentary of 'The Making of Endless Forms Most Beautiful' by Nightwish. It shows the writing process and what Tuomas is thinking, all the demos they do, shows them rehearsing, etc as well as going to London to film the orchestra parts, and everything that goes into it and the making of the album. Its so cool! It shows them walking around on stage before their Tempere concert, and we get a look at all their equipment and instruments, super interesting. They literally talk us through all their equipment. Or maybe you and Chase could stream this as you watch it... :)

OK Tank, it's confession time. Great reaction again as always. Last time I talked about how Nightwish affects us emotions wise. Well, when I saw Ghost Love Score for the first 4 or 5 times about a year ago I was doing some kind of "burst sobbing" the second Floor started singing. I can't even describe it right. I wanted to turn family etc. on to Nightwish but had to harden myself enough so I could get past Floor's opening notes. So don't worry about your eyes tearing up. Claudie52 Out and Take Care.

My favourite song. It's just such a stupidly big sound with so much energy, but the whole band is immaculately balanced, and even Floor isn't at the 'front' as it would usually be. Of course she's still amazing in this, but it feels more like an instrument for the song that the lead singer.
    Just amazing.

I can't imagine anyone watching you, Tank, and thinking you don't fawn over Floor enough for their liking. You do plenty of that from a fan perspective but like you said, you're not a vocal coach.
That said, I commented on the GSoE vid that I haven't watched a single video of yours without learning something new. Today, same thing happened. Keep at it brother.

I said it elsewhere on another Reaction channel, but I LOVE hearing professionals give their takes on songs like this. I get to see a different side of the music beyond a casual "This sounds nice". I get to hear them say WHY it sounds so nice. Hearing about the guitar techniques, or the technical aspects of what's going on, or the vocal intricacies, and so on.
It makes me appreciate the music and the effort that goes into it, all that much more.
