The crowns are supposed to be loose.There is a cool video that shows how Vostok watches work and the sealing system

That Rolex is stunning! All of the Russian watches date back to the 90s and during that time the quality was lower. I did see a Poljot alarm, Slava quartz and a Raketa in that lot. The crown's on the Vostok Komanderskies are normally quite wobbly as they're supposed to act like a clutch mechanism incase the watch is dropped to prevent damage to the movement. Some amazing finds overall!

I sold all my soviet/russian watches and donated almost all of the money to Ukranian military. I did buy a Casio Duro for my friend who just started collecting watches. He was talking about it and wanted to mod it. Now he has one :)

Rolex at garage sales? You bet! Over the past 3 years I've found 5. All turned out to be fakes. Good thing I only paid $1 to $2 for each. Don't know what you paid for the lot but I'm sure you did well.
Nice finds. The Rolex is cool. I know I want to some day find a Rolex Speedking or Bubble back but those are hard to get. I know I can get them on eBay but the hunt is half the fun. Hope you enjoy that Rolex. Has good contrast with the black dial and stainless steel case

There are a lot of people collecting Vostok, Raketa and Poljot etc etc. Should be a market for it right,?
They should bring $50-$100 ranger per Watch.
I am more interested in how much the watches are worth. Without knowing their value and what you paid there is no reason for me to continue watching.

Rolex used Acrylic crystal up until 1978. In 1978, Rolex started to replace their models Sapphire glass.
