Interesting. I make my brooms with Broomweed that pulled out from my yard and then let it dry naturally. For the handle i used dead tree limbs that were long and straight, then using bailing milar to bind the bristles to the handle.

I make my brooms out of broomcorn, and then I use a stick or log and wrap the wire and or jerk cord around it, and I use it as a broom spindle

These kind of brooms have been made for hundreds of years without the need for glue. Please consider avoiding polluting the earth.
