This is something I came in terms recently with. It is about seeing Divine consciousness in ALL, not just what one finds "ideal". Funny enough, when we impose those ideals on others it's really just insecurity on behalfs of our own beliefs. We secretly hope that the other accepts them so that our truth feels validated. In the end, one who's experiencing Truth generally only speaks of it when asked. It really all comes down to doing the work, at those friends who oppose our every opinion are our greatest opportunities for that really.

Im in the same situation as you accept my friend is an atheist and a borderline left wing communist. He constantly is bringing up politics and bashing all religion and making fun of people that are conservative, people that I love.
