i always wanted to se the final storyline of Andrea/Tina.. U can really tell that the real life stalker thing got to her and she still played the final arc of Tina with a passion and dignity. Props to her
I just love tina ! She takes a life & death moment as cord has to find a bomb to tell her he loves her. It was nice he told her he loved her & for once cord tells her " it's not ur fault " poor al look at that sad face.
Agreed, it wasn't as fun anymore. I did enjoy Jake and Megan and Viki being mayor. But eventually Sloan came along and they ruined Clints character. Background music changed. We got a new Tina and so on. I still watched every day up until Jake left after that I just kept up but it wasn't an every day thing. What did it for you? Side note Sloan was a good character but not at the expense of Clint being ruined and Karen Witter's Tina grew on me but still definitely had a different feel on the show.
Everything was great until Sloan showed up. That's when the show went totally down-hill. Yes, Clint & Viki had issues before then but always worked them out. Finding out she had a daughter and then losing her hurt Viki very much, that would have been fine, and she and Clint would have gotten through all of that IF it was not for Sloan!!! He screwed everything up and the show went downhill from there. @@thesedays99
I thought 92 to 94 was very brilliant but I think the early 90s when grunge changed pop culture that the 90s became about social issues social awareness that's why they addressed big issues like aids homophobia, Megan who had lupus & I guess they Said she didn't take care of herself or see a Dr enough & that's why her kidneys failed ( plus when Jake walks through the hospital door & viki loses it I just cry. Then they addressed college fraternity partying & how outta control things get & sadly rapes & gang rapes happen on college campuses more than we knew/know than they coveted gambling addiction infidelity w/ viki Dorian on death row etc. The 90s were darker as well so I think oltl had to change w/ the times. Gh also got rid of the spy stuff & also did the aids story w/ stone. Oltl did it first though. That's why I adored this show. After 94 95 was a step down but was the last quality year. Someone made a funny comment about viki in heaven on that space ship & they said "maybe oltl & other soaps wouod have survived if they did bat$hit stories like this still !" Lol.
@@ruddM I think oltl won best show either in 2001 or 2002 for the only time ever & they canned the e.p. Gary Tomlin. Which makes zero sense. Unless they wanted to dump the shows. That Brian frons was the one who cancelled AMC & oltl & the show that replaced oltl was cancelled after only 2 months. Soaps are as Americana as Apple pie. Head writer Micheal Malone said in 2012 ( he was the writer who won the Emmy for the 93 gang rape story among others ) that soaps will somehow make a big comeback b/c everything comes from the serial drama genre. He made a speech saying that " Charles Dickens is the godfather of soap & Agnes Nixon is the mother & we are their children " on Emmy night so I hope so. He just thinks it will come back in some other genre. I'm guessing internet but that didn't work. All these networks b/c their are hundreds of them plus cable are dying for original material as I think the reality show crap people I think are getting tired of it. I mean they have been making scripted shows off of reality scandals that helped kill shows ironically like when they did the people vs oj Simpson, a movie about Tanya harding which one an Oscar for Allison Janney & Pam & Tommy & their sex tape. So it's really weird b/c the oj trial killed soaps & started the 24/7 news cycle & yet they make a scripted show about it which everyone loved & won tons of Emmys for actors playing these people that were famous for being famous. It's crazy. I think people want quality drama back. Reality shows at first in small doses were fine but then the producers & networks saw how cheap & fast it was not paying writers actors producers etc.
I liked Andrea as patty on the young and the restless. Does anybody remember her as patty . I just couldn't get into Stacey as patty who now plays Kristen on days of our lives I tried but couldn't both actresses lillibett stern and Andrea Evans were way better Patty's. Didn't see much of Andrea on the bold and the beautiful which sucks real bad. Only saw Andrea on both the better one life to live and the young and the restless RIP Andrea RIP gone but not forgotten
